We as usual had a wonderful pre-Christmas get together with friends, enhanced by the wonderful staff at the Pavillion. Our server was fun and friendly and very attentive to our wants/needs. Our only disappointment was that Rose was not our server, she usually is and we always look forward to catching up with her and enjoying a fun evening with her.

Buffet offered many delicious choices, even our picky eater was satisfied, and the prime rib was outstanding. Clean and well tended by the staff. Trackside view was great, and access to winner circle from restaurant was a nice plus.

This is a racetrack buffet, and it was about what I expected. The food was plentiful and by and large good quality, and the service was about average -- we got what we needed without much delay. The restaurant is trackside so we had a decent view of the action, although not nearly as good as from the dining room upstairs. Still, it's easy to walk outside and watch from the rail if you wish. A large group nearby was fairly noisy, but we weren't expecting a quiet experience. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

Hello Would like to get a reply... I did as you advised I called the Dining room and talked to Mrs. Hult and she did not know anything about the flowers never happened before I sent her the link ( the Flowers) were at the table when we arrived. the waitress said they get many requests for flowers...The tables were squeezed together making it hard to get in and out with food or to place bets..when a person came back with food etc you had to get up each time to let them in..not good.there were empty tables why not remove some and give the diners more room....I did not try the salads but the only vegies was carrots. the roast was very rare running in blood when I made the mistake to ask the elderly lady server if she read 4 no room here tks.

We made a reservation, but it appears that everyone else had a reservation for the same time and there was a big line-up to get in. We had left word when making the reservation that we had an elderly person with us using a walker, but that didn't seem to matter when we got there. Not sure why, but the place was mostly empty inside, with lots of people standing around waiting to get in. Food was terrible. Wouldn't go back here again.

Overall food was good the roast beef should have been cooked more it was too rare. we have been coming once a year for four years on our Anniversaries this year however not as enjoyable due to lack of variety & rude people outside coming in to bet and use of washroom facilities.

  • Went there for dinner. Nice

Went there for dinner. Nice place but lady who brought us to our table was abrupt. While she brought us to our table we told her that we had a reservation, she said "Why didn't you tell me". Pasta cook told me quite abruptly that there were no plates and I could not have pasta. I would go there again and ignore the fact that they seemed like they were tired of working. The lady at the horserace ticket booth was very friendly and the waitress was very friendly too. That made up for it.
