In addition, the restaurant holds 70 people and is available for parties. The Pavilion Restaurant and Lounge in Buffalo Grove is connected to Versailles Banquet hall and has a capacity of 160 people in addition to the restaurant which holds 70 people.

  • "Upon arrival we were greeted by a gentlemen who said we could sit anywhere. I was not asked my name nor was there a reservations book or list. The luncheon meal was a pleasant, tasty treat. The restaurant was nicely appointed and the service was superb. This was my first dining experience at Pavilion and I will definitely return."

  • "Went for a lunch with co-workers. Everyone loved their choices : sea bass, trout (grilled) , tilapia. The portions were good size and everyone appreciated them as tasty. The bread they serve is a mix of dark(loved it) and white, fresh with butter bullets."

  • "Our reservation was at 730pm Valentine's Day but because it was a work day we were running a little bit late. I called and moved it to 8pm., and they accomodated us graciously. When we arrived, they seated us close to the 2 man orchestra that was the source of the music that evening, so it felt like we were serenaded privately. Food and drinks were served promptly and courteously. I would recommend, to friends for special occasions."

  • "The filet was so so and the lamb chops had too much marinate. The free glass if champaign was room temperature. The free cheeses plate had no taste. The cheesecake tasted like chemical flavoring. The wait staff did not appear to be trained. The bread plate was on the right - really no matter but just gave the insight that they had no training. Overall the food tasted like banquet or cafeteria quality. No wine list offered."

  • "Had a good time here. Great food. The only thing is that they sneak in a 19% gratuity after 10pm. I found that odd considering that we were a party of 2. I dine out a lot so I'm accustomed to tipping accordingly. But I was shocked to see gratuity on a party of 2. Other than that, dinner was pretty good."

  • "I picked Pavilion based on previous reviews from this site for a Work Group party of 5. All (except for me) were from out of state. I ordered Chicken Marsala. It was one piece Chicken Breast - Dry, cold and Tasteless. Two folks ordered the Fish. Comments were "they added sauce on top due to fish sitting out to try and cover it was old". Last two in party ordered Skirt Steak and sharing a bite from their plates with everyone else becasuse they felt it was good, although small. In all, portions for every plate were small which given the cost per person would have been absolutely ok if the flavor and taste of food made up for it. You go to a restaurant for food taste/flavor which Pavilion lacked...not just service and presentation."

  • "The room had a modern decor with a live Jazz duo that played nicely in the back of the room. We had warm rolls, a fried calamari app presented in a paper-lined conical stand w/ a tasty red pepper sriracha aioli dipping sauce. I had the succulent cedar planked salmon w/cirus glaze and my wife had the very tender Asian skirt steak accompanied with grilled veggies and a nice bottle of Cabernet. Service was good ...they really keep the water glass filled! We did not have dessert so you are on your own there but I'd expect it's as good as everything else! Good European cusine...We'll be back!!"

  • "The food was fantastic, but the place was completely dead. 6:30 on a Tuesday evening, and we had the place to ourselves. To make it worse, the service was very slow. I don't know how that can be possible with only one table to apy attention to, but it happened. I get the feeling that unless you are part of the local Russian community, and know the good nights/events to show up for, your business isn't particularly valued. To top everything off, they turned the music off in the dining room about halfway through our entree, leaving the table in complete silence in a vacant room."

The food was excellent and not at all traditional, which we liked. They were really wonderful with our kids and offered to bring them something else when they could see that the five year old wasn't eating much. We want to go back again to try their real menu!"

  • "It was a little disappointing that 2 of the appetizers we chose were no longer available, but the waitress recommended the Tuna Tartar. It was Delicious!!! Then I ordered the Sea Bass. Unfortunately, they were out of Sea Bass, so I ordered the Tenderloin Medallions. That was also Delicious!!! Ended the night with a Lave Cake. That really hit the spot. Overall, Dining experience was EXCELLENT!!!"

  • "We had a Living Social deal that led us to this little gem. The dinning room is quaint but attracted a lively crowd as the night went on. The food was definitely the highlight-for a light appetizer I recommend the Capresee Tower-delicious fresh tomatoes and fresh mozzarella-a perfect portion for a two to share. Main courses did not disappoint-we had the NY strip (only complaint was the asparagus was salty) and the Seafood Linguine with garlic lemon sauce and it was delicious. The website stated the restaurant opened at five but when we arrived at 6 p.m. the dinning room was not set and the hostess had to ask permission to seat us because they "weren't ready" because of a wedding reception occurring in the adjacent banquet hall."

  • "On the afternoon of my reservation I got a call telling me they could not honor my reservation as they have a wedding! I certainly doubt this was a last minute wedding and find this type of customer service to be unacceptable. I would never entertain going there ever. I was over 1 hr away from my home so me and my friend had to figure out at the last minute somewhere else to go and we were unfamiliar with this area. Very disappointed."

  • "Too expensive and bad food/drinks. We ordered a round of Moscow Mules, which usually come in copper mugs and contain vodka, ginger beer and a squeeze of lime. What we were given was in a small glass tumbler and had a little vodka, a very powerful dose of bottle lime juice and a mint leaf. Not a Moscow mule, even though on their menu they describe them exactly as the original I had mentioned. Then on to dinner. The appetizers were decent and fresh tasting. We had the dumpling combo and bellini. One of our party had the borscht and said it was very tasty. Main course was a disaster. Pork chops were waaaaayyyyy overdone and tough, and asparagus was mush. We had a spend $100 and get $50 off coupon and still spent $110 a couple."

  • "Decided to go here for our Valentines Day dinner since it got good reviews. However the service wasn't very good nor was the food. The hostess/manager told us about the special and then our waitress told us something different. The hostess explained the menu to us more than our waitress. The food is very overpriced and my steak was cooked incorrectly two times and never corrected. I don't recommend it or plan on returning."

  • "Everything about my dining experience was slightly above average. I got lamp-chops that were good but the girlfriend got sea bass which was better. The lava cake was also ok (not too big which I'm fine with). The service was nice, but they didn't seem very genuine. Not a bad place, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again."
