Diner Reviews
  • "I've been to Paul's countless times, but their sushi keeps getting better and better. I definitely recommend the surf and turf roll and a glass of red wine for a great evening at Paul's!"

  • "Loved sitting on the veranda on a beautiful spring day! Love the sweet potato chips with roasted tomato and pesto dip, lobster sandwich with the best slaw and mountain trout. Always have great service at Pauls."

  • "Had a great time, saw some people I knew, just basically a good night. Have been several time especially for the dishes, which I love. I never ear cream potatoes and so many places have that on the pleaned meals. N"

  • "Lovely neighborhood setting in Peachtree Hills area of Buckhead. One of our top 5 favorite restaurants and it was my sister's birthday. We had Paul's Roll as our appetizer and the fish special as the entree. A nice bottle of wine and everything was absolutely delicious! Great services and they even let us have the window seat we asked for when we made our reservation. I'm never disappointed at Paul's. Will visit again soon."

  • "This was my second Tuesday in a row to attend their half off sushi night and what a deal it is! Paul's definitely has the best sushi in Peachtree Hills and is a great neighborhood restaurant. Don't be scared by their international menu; everything is good, whether you choose to have their sushi selections or their normal menu. If their soft shell crab is a special, get it; it is truly the best soft shelled crab ever!"

  • "I was looking for somewhere different to take the wife for Valentines Day and I found it in Pauls Restaurant."

  • "We love to come to Paul's for the fried lobster tail, a bit pricy for Atlanta standards but worth it as a Birthday celebration. Delicious!"

  • "Booked for romantic valentine dinner. Nothing about this place is romantic. Very noisey and ambience is disappointing. Toughest filet mignon in my life and I've eaten a ot of them! Waitress tried to stiff us for (3) glasses of wine each instead of (2) glasses each. This was no mistake and she even told us she was normally a bartender. Have no reason to return and wouldn't recommend to others."

  • "Wow, I've been to Paul's prob 20-25 times, and this time it was absolutely packed! I made a reservation for 7:30, but due to the crowd I wasn't seated until closer to 8:00. Food and service were great as usual, but wow I was shocked the restaurant was so crowded we had to wait for a spot to open up at the bar just to grab a glass of wine while we waited!"

  • "Food was excellent as usual. It is expected and has never left us disappointed. We love this restaurant and will continue to delight in the deep fried lobster tails."

  • "The restaurant was loud, the food was not good, and the service was subpar."

  • "Service was questionable. The waiter was great. The staff in the kitchen forgot to put something on my husbands plate so they left the rest of his and my food under the heater for more than 15 min. The people that actually bring your food seemed confused about what they were doing. This was our second visit to Paul's. Not sure we will be back for what we spent and the service we received. They apologized but it was very sad for a restaurant of this type."

  • "We went here for Valentine's day, so understandably the restaurant was slammed. It took a while to get our drink orders and appetizer order in. The lighting in the restaurant was so dim, that I had to hold the menu up to the tea-light to read it. We ordered a sashimi appetizer. It took about 15-20 minutes for the app to come out which is a bit long. While the food tasted good, we couldn't really SEE our plate. My main course was decent, but the fish in my fiancee's course was overcooked, which is a damn shame because it was sea bass. Dessert was also good, but it took about 20 minutes for our entree plates to be cleared and our dessert order to be taken. I had to flag down the waitress to get our check. Our 3 course meal took 2.5 hours."

  • "My girlfriend and I had an wonderful experience at Paul's. Hakan was an awesome waiter, very knowledgeable of the content of the menu. The staff was very friendly. Loved our courses throughout. Everything was fair priced. I would definitely recommend this Restaraunt to locals and visitors to Atlanta!"

  • "We went on a Friday...got reservations right away, which surprised me. The ambience is nice. A bit bright...lively bar. Service was great but somebody went a little crazy with the vinegar on the beet salad. I had short ribs (the special) and they were ok, bit my husband's salmon was terrific. We'll go back but probably to sit at the bar and have an appetizer or two."

  • "I had the special which consisted of Sole over Red Pepper Grits and it was phenomenal, I also had a seat where I could see my dish being prepared. My wife's dish was great also and had a special preparation that the staff easily accommodated. Kudos to the chef. The manager came over to see that we were comfortable and taken care of, she was great. I highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "We always enjoy Paul's and will continue to come as one of our favorite restaurants. Rick is our preferred waiter and again, he did an excellent job! We enjoyed our evening out."

  • "We dine at Paul's whenever we visit Atlanta and always have a wonderful experience. I don't know what has happened, if the restaurant is under new ownership or has a new chef. Our food was HORRIBLE. The veal had a steamed flavor to it, very tough, grey in color and no flavor. The lamb shank too was flavorless. I could only liken it to a meal I would have eaten on an airplane! Even the salad was bland. The menu was quite different so I can only guess that there are new owners. Perhaps this was a one time bad experience but I will be very hesitant to ever to again. This is sad to me as we've been eating at Paul's several times a year for the past 7 years!"

  • "We found Paul' when our Son and family lived in Peachtree Hills a few years back. At the time we lived in Brookhaven and visited often. Five years ago we retired and moved to Dunwoody and have to remember Paul's as it is not as convenient for us. Yet every time we visit we have a great meal and an enjoyable evening."

  • "If you want to meet a friend for a drink, or go on a date, or conduct business, this place fits the bill. It is cozy and chic, great bar area, lively but not loud, super wait staff, and the food is consistently excellent."

  • "Very nice smaller restaurant. We ordered the stone crab claws which were in season. The mustard sauce was a good marriage. Very similar to Joe's Stone Crab. We got the lobster tail for which Paul in known. Again, it did not disappoint. Rick, our server did a very nice job with service and wine pairing. I will ask for him again. Overall a good night at Paul's"

  • "We have been eating at Paul's for years and dining experience is always good. Restaurant is always sensitive to my food allergies. Staff is friendly and accomodating. We always take out of town guests there knowing they will enjoy it. It reminds of of a good NYC neighborhood bistro."

  • "Food and service was very good. Prices in line with similar Atlanta restaurants. Only complaint is that the seating is too crowded. Tables generally much closer together than I prefer. Many diners may not mind this. Like many NYC restaurants."

  • "This neighborhood bistro is without equal in the Atlanta Area thanks to Chef Paul's hands on overseeing. Nice and varied menu, seasonal specialties (stone crab claws, soft shell crabs, etc) adds variety to the always well prepared and served offerings."

  • "First visit to Paul's and will certainly go again. The food was excellent and so was the service. It is really nice to have the manager of the restaurant (??) stop by several times to see that all is OK and the Paul himself. The only quibble I have is that the seating is a bit cramped. I recall that Paul's is where Phillipes Bistro used to be and that too used to be cramped. Strongly recommend."

  • "We had such a good time we made another reservation for December! This is one of the few restaurants where you can carry on a conversation and be heard at your table! Kudos to Paul for taking such good care of his customers!"

  • "A very good find. We will return, but ask for a table at one end to get away from the sports bar/TV atmosphere."

  • "As always outstanding dining experience at fair price point."

  • "We had a great evening at Paul's to celebrate my wife's birthday. Amanda (our waitress) was excellent, professional, and attentive. The $10 cocktails were great (Cosmo and Manahattan). My wife had never had stone crabs before, and she loved them, as did I. The veal medallions were very tender, very well prepared, and super tasty. Our Malbec wine was very good. Even the complimentary birthday lemon bar cake was excellent! And Paul makes the rounds to greet his customers personally. Overall we were very pleased with every aspect of the restaurant. It's our new favorite!"
