A word from Paulies Kitchen
The Distillery Bar + Kitchen opened in the Spring of 2013 serving up straight forward Italian-American style dishes and boozy handcrafted cocktails. The menu was developed with an emphasis on sourcing local ingredients, taking the time to make products from scratch and being inspired by the way that ‘Mama used to make it’.

The restaurant hosts a long 30 person communal table ideal for large groups, family-style dining or getting to know your neighbour. Guests can also pull up a stool at the restaurant bar which looks on to the fully open kitchen for an interactive experience, or sit outside on the heated patio to people-watch with a bottle of wine and flavourful pasta.

You may reserve seats online for a maximum of six guests. Please note that due to the style of our restaurant service parties of 4 or more may be sat at a communal dining table. Cheers!

I was very impressed with the music the DJ was playing including Sinatra, Bublė, and Sammy Davis Jr. but he made my night by including 60's Soul music. I would go back just for the music!"

  • "Loved Paulies! This was my first visit, and I went for Dine Out. The restaurant had a fun, energetic vibe with a big, enthusiastic group sitting at the long table and lots of clamour from the kitchen. Our server was friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had a good experience. The food was awesome. We had a fried cheese & meatballs for our two appies and they were delicious. The pasta I had for my main was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. Lots of sausage and tomato with a rustic, authentic feel to it. There was no attempt to rush us through our meal (a frequent Dine Out complaint) and the portion sizes were great. We'll be back!"

  • "Not bad .... but plenty of room for improvement. The server (Lucy?) was superb. Fast, efficient, knowledgeable and pleasant. As good as they get. I had the pasta puttanesca and while the taste was fine the consistency was dry and a bit off-putting. On the plus side the kitchen had spiced it up just perfectly for me, as I had requested. My dining partner had a bruschetta which was overwhelmed with the toppings --- but not good enough that one might start craving these. He also had a shrimp starter which was nice. The place was quiet and the staff in the open kitchen got a bit rowdy and distracting (probably out of boredom). Nothing to do? Prep and clean! On the whole a good meal and great service. Will be back? Yes. Right away? No."
