With Paul Martin's American Grill, Brian Bennett and restaurateur Paul Fleming have realized a long-nurtured dream to create the restaurant "we've always wished was in our neighborhood."

At the heart of all great food is fresh, local, peak of the season ingredients. Paul Martin's aims to serve diners the best ingredients with meat raised in a humane and wholesome way, locally sourced produce, the best of both wild and farmed fish, artisan cheeses and cured meats from small local purveyors. The deep California-centric wine list twists and turns, by glass or bottle, through the Golden State's vineyards, with an occasional stop for an Oregon Pinot Gris or a Washington dry Riesling. Behind Paul Martin's elegantly rustic bar is an interesting array of craft beer and spirited cocktails with fresh garnishes. My Salmon was perfect, son's steak average and my wife's chicken was just ok. Service was good and attentive. Biggest complaint was the noise. Very loud both music and people. Would not suggest it for a romantic evening."

  • "This was our first visit to Paul Martin's Restaurant. A good friend highly recommended them. This is a fantastic restaurant. Great location, great setting. We love the decor. The menu is great. The service was good but there were long periods where we could not fine our server and it was not busy. The plus is that we got to relax and enjoy the restaurant! We had lemonade with club soda that was delicious! We also had the French Dip sandwich that was outstanding. The beef was so flavorful and tender! We also had a house-made smoked salmon salad that was the best I've ever had! It was loaded with salmon, cucumbers, thin shavings of radish and a fabulous dressing. I highly recommend both dishes! Can't wait to go back!"

  • "AWESOME GREAT TASTING FOOD, They did it right, menu does not have an overwhelming amount of food options, but they have perfected the ingredients to great tasting food. Have eaten lunch here several times, the artichoke appetizer with pesto aloli is amazing, The burgers, Mushroom and Angus Beef are out of this world, and the Steak and Bacon Tacos, delicious, the portions are just right. Look forward to returning soon. We celebrated my sons girlfriends birthday and she was given a choice of dessert to celebrate her day, at no charge. Thank you,"

We all had a delicious dinner and were able to carry on a conversation without yelling at the top of lungs. The Cedar Plank Salmon was wonderful. My husband liked his cod and my mother loves the Prime Rib Special which is very reasonable. All in all, it was a pleasant evening."

And once again, even though I dined alone this time, I was not disappointed. I ordered the pork chop which was cooked perfectly. The mac & cheese is outstanding and the salad was great. Everyone here is very nice and accommodating. If you need something, just ask and the wait staff is there to help. Can't recommend this place enough."

  • "We sat outside in the happy hr. area where we had some appetizers and drinks with our friends around 4 PM. It was a beautiful afternoon so we decided to remain at our outside table for dinner, although we did have a 5 PM dinner reservation through Open Table. Three of us had the Sunday Prime Rib special which was delicious and one from our party had the porkchop which was also very good. Everything came out fine except all the side dishes were wrong. A young, female manager came over and told us don't worry, keep what you have and we will bring out the proper side dishes. Within just a few minutes the correct sides came out. All in all, the dinner, appetizers, drinks, were great as was the service from both the waiter and the manager."

Our server Freddie was enthusiastic and enjoyed sharing his knowledge about the menu, the wine list and his opinion about food in general. Freddie is nice alternative to ignnorant waiters and waitresses, but he needs to tone it down just a little bit. Not every diner needs a culinary lecture on the virtues of organically grown meat. "

  • "For Mother's Day, we had a table of 6. 3 adults and 3 children. Service was terrible. The waitress took an uncomfortable amount of time coming over to take our drink order. Then the drinks too way to long to come over. Again, a very long wait to order our food. The 6 entrees that we ordered all came out at different times. They brought out the wrong entree for my son, so he sat there without food. His sister's burger was burned to a crisp, so we asked for another. My eggs benedict were awful. They used an Oscar Meyer deli quality ham instead of a nice Canadian Bacon. One egg was very runny, the other was so hard. The biscuits were hard. Terrible. We had to ask for our honey butter and the fruit. I could go on and on. "

  • "I found the hostess to be passive agressive. When we arrived our table was ready but we asked if we could sit outside, she explained it wasn't reserved seating. We said we were going to see if there was anything open. There was not and when we returned THREE minutes later she had given our table away. It was all corrected and we were pleased but we all noticed she wasn't fond of us. A hostess should never display those feelings."

  • "We came to celebrate a friend's birthday. We came for brunch. Two of us ordered omelets, but they arrived lukewarm. The server took it back, to reheat. The manager came over offering to make fresh omelets. We had waited a long time to be served, and didn't want to wait longer. We told him that just reheating it would be fine. When the server returned with them, they were still only lukewarm, but we didn't say anything. However, the manager came over and gave each of us a gift card for another brunch. We were very surprised, and delighted. A very nice way to have diners return. Thank you!!"
