A word from Paul Martin's American Grill - Scottsdale
Seasonal & Delicious.

With Paul Martin's American Grill, Brian Bennett and restaurateur Paul Fleming have realized a long-nurtured dream to create the restaurant "we've always wished was in our neighborhood."

At the heart of all great food is fresh, local, peak of the season ingredients. Paul Martin's aims to serve diners the best ingredients with meat raised in a humane and wholesome way, locally sourced produce, the best of both wild and farmed fish, artisan cheeses and cured meats from small local purveyors. The deep California-centric wine list twists and turns, by glass or bottle, through the Golden State's vineyards, with an occasional stop for an Oregon Pinot Gris or a Washington dry Riesling. Behind Paul Martin's elegantly rustic bar is an interesting array of craft beer and spirited cocktails with fresh garnishes. Good times and thoughtful food are a way of life at Paul Martin's American Grill.

I dine at PM's regularly, and I always enjoy it. This time I brought my company from out of town to try it. They raved about the food and how fresh everything was. We had a "very" late dinner due to a flight delay, yet still, everything was just as freshly prepared as if it were the height of the dinner hour. Kudos to the staff at Paul Martin's American Grill. Thank you.

My 4th visit to PM's. I certainly can tell the operation has developed. Had a great server - Michael G #60 - who although quite young was very professional. He was patient and caring in dealing with my 91 year old mother. Please bring back the creme brulle!! Thank you. We will be back again.

Your time here will be well spent. The restaurant is new to the neighborhood, but lacks nothing in satisfying its patrons. The service was premium, including accommodating a special occasion. The food was artfully prepared and delicious, even if it was healthfully focused. I ate Salmon while my dinner partner had Marinated Beef. The veg side dishes we added of Brussels and Cauliflower were both a delight and gone, like our main entrees. I was even offered the proverbial cake for dessert. I really wouldn't change a thing, they have the formula right. Make a reservation, and forget your cares.

We had a very nice experience visiting this restaurant for the first time. They did nice job changing up the interior enough from the previous place where I didn't feel like I was in the same place. I was impressed with how busy they were for a Tuesday night after 8pm. Laura was an excellent server - attentive and pleasant. The food was very good (Chimichurri steak and the NY strip). I cannot wait to go back!

Busy and crowded, considering there had just been an incredible thunderstorm. If the storm didn't keep people home, we figured this restaurant must be good. And, it was. We ate during Arizona Restaurant Week and 3 of the 4 of us ordered from the Restaurant Week menu. The salmon with quinoa was perfectly seasoned and so good. Two of us had the mushroom soup and agreed it was the best we'd ever had. The only "average" (in our opinions) was the banana cream pie. It was tasty, but just okay. The cookie-type crust was difficult to break through. Service was excellent all the way around - friendly, knowledgeable, there when you wanted them but not obtrusive. All in all, a great dining experience. We will definitely be back.

We were a party of 4, small group. We were seated promptly and introduced to our waiter quickly. The service was perfect with just the right amount of attention. They had a pre fix menu that was a good deal. Portions were good size, not too big or too small. The steak I ordered was just perfectly cooked.

We celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary here during Restaurant Week with the Prix Fixe menu. It was delicious! The mushroom soup was the best we've ever tasted. My husband and I were both very pleased with our entrees. He chose the salmon and I decided on the beef short rib. When it came time for the dessert, I was a little disappointed that the Devil's Food Cake I had selected was all sold out. The banana cream pie was a good substitute. My husband decided on the ice cream with shortbread cookies. The strawberry ice cream and cookies were amazing! We enjoyed the evening and the service was top-notch! Thank you very much.

We live in north Phoenix so getting to Paul Martin's took about half an hour--and it was completely worth it! The wood-fired grill smelled so appealing (though I dinged one star because there was obviously an issue, and way more smoke started billowing out than there should have been). We went for Arizona Restaurant Week. The mushroom soup was one of the best we have ever had, and you could just about spread the braised ribs on toast, they were so tender. The grilled salmon was cooked perfectly and the kale and quinoa made an excellent accompaniment. I didn't have much room left for my banana cream pie, but the two bites I had melted in my mouth (and you know it came home with us!). Service was very attentive and friendly but not obtrusive.

I have been to this establishment many times, but usually order the same great things. This time however, I tried the Braised Short Rib Entrée, and it was so succulent and tender that I didn't even need to use my steak knife! My friend enjoyed his Ribeye Steak Entrée as well. The mashed potatoes are seasoned perfectly and are creamy-smooth. Just wonderful. Keep up the good work in the kitchen! The chef(s) really know what they're doing back there.

Lively at lunch, but got seated right away. Our waiter, Paolo, was a real firecracker. He was quick to offer tasters of any wine with which we might not be familiar, chatted amiably, but moved quickly. The restaurant is attractive, nicely lit, clean, and has a nice trendy feel. Went in because of a $25. incentive received in the mail. No gimmick, simply subtracted that amount from the total bill. We liked it, we're going back!

What an unexpected delight! The service was excellent, the food impeccable. My dining companion and I had the Sunday special, roast beef. We agreed we've not had such an excellent cut of beef in quite some time and perfectly cooked. The mashed potatoes were delicious and dinner was followed by three small scoops of homemade chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla ice creams. Made in house, the favors were phenomenal. The artisanal bread and salad with a champagne vinaigrette were average. We didn't need to ask for refills of drinks as the waitstaff was very attentive. We'll be returning!
