The father and son tandem of Louis and Greg Azzollini continue to serve old-country-style Italian dishes, as well as, innovative specials prepared daily. "Walked around the corner from the Gramercy Park Hotel on our fist night in New York and had dinner with our twin 6 year olds here. The service was wonderful and welcoming, the food very good and satisfying, the restaurant had a true Italian feel and was very romantic. Would definitely go here again."

"My wife arrived before me and was not treated well at the reception desk.She left and called me on my cell and we went to another restaurant. No reason to spend money in a hostile place."

"The restaurant is charming and unpretentious. The wait staff is helpful, good-humored, and capable of responding to special needs. The food is tasty and delicately flavored. It's a dependably good meal with occasional surprises, and a place you can enjoy conversation with your companions without shouting across the table. It's more than a neighborhood go-to, but thank God it's that, too."

"Great spot to take my parents for my Dad's birthday dinner. Owner and waitstaff were very attentive, and the food was outstanding - old-style italian, which is - amazingly - hard to find these days in Manhattan. I highly recommend."

"Paul & Jimmy's is my go- to Restaurant when I want a guaranteed great experience. The Italian menu is always fab, you can carry on a conversation without screaming, and the lighting is kind. We went on Valentine's day & were greeted warmly by the owner who made us feel we were visiting friend's."

"I will never eat at this restaurant again. The service was horrible and the food mediocre at best. This is a big change from the last time we were there. The waiter argued with us about a free glass of wine offered when we reserved, plus would not accept the fact that the salad we ordered was not as advertised on the menu. When we politely expressed our concern to the manager, he made us feel like we were a nuisance. In short, for a Valentine's Day special occasion, it was a disaster."

"I loved the food and my girlfriend did as well. The only thing Paul and Jimmys lacked was better service, it took some time before someone asked us anything. They were a bit busy when I visited so I understand but other than that its a great place for a date or just a night out."
