Diner Reviews
  • "We arrived at the scheduled time and were greeted by Patrizia the owner and chef and Clayton who was to be our server. Clayton directed us to a table in the newest dining room. The decor was welcoming, warm and beautifully done with a wall mounted gas fireplace. Clayton explained the specials and took our drink order. We ordered an appetizer which was fresh and delicious. We we're given warm bread and rolls and soon we're delivered our entrees which were also delicious and served perfectly. The only hitch in our meal was that my wife's vegetables were a bit saltier than she would have preferred, but we knew if we had ordered them unsalted, they would have come that way. We were offered a complimentary desert. Overall a great experience."

  • "Our overall dining experience was excellent. Food came out timely and hot, and was delicious. My only negative comment was that the cocktails were very weak. I mentioned to our waiter that the drink (John Daly) was weak. In fact, I told him I didn't taste any alcohol in the drink at all. He said he would tell the bartender, and the 2nd drink was no stronger. Other than the cocktails, everything was excellent."

  • "Beautiful, relaxed interior. Food was excellent, would return-especially when the weather is nice again as the location is right near ocean."

  • "Service was outstanding in this place. The food was great for Italian and not in the north end. Small menu so you know it's fresh."

  • "Nice decor. Friendly and considerate wait staff. Food was very good, lovely presentation, though I found my house-made spaghetti with clams a bit too salty for my taste."

  • "We are not diners that liked to be rushed through courses, but the dinner was an extremely slow process. The head waiter apologized for the inconvenience, but it didn't improve. The caesar salad had little dressing, and when I asked for extra, got balsamic vin. which did not go with the caesar. Fo main course, I got the Veal Saltimbocca, and it was really not good at all. The veal and prosciutto were indistinguishable from each other, and very wet and chewy. I took one cutlet home for our dog as a treat, and noticed in the light of our kitchen that the cutlet was almost completely raw! Not worth the price to say the least! Loved the location and menu, so we will have to decide whether or not to give this a second chance."

  • "Arrived 30 minutes early for a 7:45 PM reservation on Valentine's Day. We checked in with the hostess, acknowledged we were early, and explained we would be having a drink at the bar. She was polite but dismissive. My wife and I approached the bartender to order drinks while we waited for our table. 20 minutes later we had our drinks. At 8:00 PM we asked the hostess what the status of our table was; she forgot to seat us but assured us the table would be ready soon. 30 minutes after being seated we saw our waiter for the first time. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. 30 minutes later we got our appetizer and ordered dinner. Dinner didn't take as long and was, fortunately, delicious..."

  • "Had a wonderful Valentine's Day dinner. Definitely a great local fine-dining option. The food was delicious and showed real creativity. The Specials menu all sounded fantastic (it was hard to choose!). My date had the strawberry risotto with pistacio crusted tuna and it was - amazing! I couldn't taste the limoncello that my scallops and shrimp were cooked in, but my meal was still delicious. The service wasn't bad. Our appetizer was quite slow coming out and our server took forever to return to refill my wine glass... but otherwise she was very friendly and knowledgeable. A bit pricey (particularly for drinks). Still, it was great for a special night out!"

  • "We were a little early, sat at the bar, for a drink. Took forever to make a drink, bartender said he had to chill the glass waiting 10 minutes! I found that unacceptable. Way to long when we are sitting at the bar. Dinner, salad was very good, entrees took forever, waitress didn't tell us anything ,finally flagged down the hostess, to ask her why there was such a delay for our entrees, she said it was because of a party of 6! The whole place wasn't that crowded. So bottom line is food is very good, however service is not,. If you are paying these higher end prices , I expect better communication with customers, could imagine how this place is in the summer!"

  • "We arrived for our reservation a little early but were seated immediately. It was a Sunday night so the restaurant was not crowded. The waitress immediately took our drink orders. When she returned with the drinks we told her we needed a little more time to select our meals. She was very accommodating. She checked back with us a few minutes later and we placed our ordersThe food was served very promptly and it was delicious. I had the veal saltimboca and my wife had the pork dish. Both were presented beautifully. The pork was cooked to taste and the veal was tender and flavorful. I would recommend this restaurant very highly"

  • "Great food, very good atmosphere. Very attentive and knowledgeable waitstaff. Would absolutely recommend. Tuna tartar app was amazing. Linguine Alla Masaniello fantastic - so fresh. Other than that, tremendous all around. Only issue was our table - right at the entrance next to the kitchen."

  • "The food has always been good to very good at Patrizia's, but I'd stopped going there quite awhile ago because the prices were high, the seating was cramped and the service was abysmal - how about thee hours for a dinner for four! But they've since added a new, large wing with a beautifully decorated dining room, with larger tables and plush seating. The wine list is first class, and the service is very, very good. But be prepared to pay: $256 not including tip, for four, with salads, main courses, two desserts and a very good bottle of Super Tuscan, at $56. But given the large number of places you can go and spend $100 a couple and by the next day forget the restaurant's name, Patrizia's was worth the extra cost. They have won me back."

  • "DId not disappoint. Great for a special occasion. Food was excellent. Shrimp and scallop dish was delicious. Service was top notch. I liken it to some of the best restaurants in Boston. Would definitely return."

  • "I am a foodie and Patrizia's was excellent in this respect. Overall, service was very good but there is some underlying attitude which permeates from the bar tender and server. A few examples; > Don't make customer's feel badly because they do not know your specific wine list and dont pretend to know it when you have not sampled it. > With (3) couples, they would not split food order with 3 checks citing policy........Anither word for inconvenience. > They added 20% tip automatically with only 6 people and neglected to mention it when they droipped off the check. Ridiculous! In any case, food was great, decor was beautiful and overall experience was very good. I would definitely return but the attitude needs adjustment!"

  • "We enjoyed dining at your restaurant with our friends. The staff greeted us with friendly smiles and made us feel very welcome and comfortable, The restaurant was quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. They waiter was very attentive, yet did not rush us, which we appreciated very much! It was a memorable evening -- thank you!"

  • "We enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere and the choices for dinner, service was courteous and attentive until it got busy on a Saturday night. A multitude of specials and our main meal was not fully satisfying and slightly over priced for a Plymouth Setting. Would consider trying this setting again."

  • "Patrizia's is worth a try...just be prepared to pay a little more. Service was perfect...all the way around!!! Food was average...maybe an off night! Quality, presentation, and price...we thought would of been better! The service that we received will be the factor for getting us back, for another try! Great location...sight seeing, shopping, and trying something different!!!"

  • "We found wine and beer cost to be high compared to comparable area restaurants. Dinner entrees were also to high for what we got."
    Dined on 11/21/2013
  • "The food and restaurant were good The food could have been a bit hotter. The thing that bothered the four of us was that we felt that we were being pushed to order our meals and to finish and get out of there. The four of us hadn't been together for awhile and we wanted to spend one time together but felt that we were bing pushed out the door so that they could sit someone else at our table."

  • "We were expecting a menu with a little more of traditional dishes. We had 3 courses, and they were all good, not as good as we expected for the price. Crab cakes were cold, Beet Salad was dull, hardly any dressing...main entrée was tasty, side served with it were dull and tasteless. Risiotto would have been better"

  • "This place is a gem. It was a quiet night at the restaurant which was surprising for a Thursday night. Our server, Jake, was professional and attentive without being overbearing. A great experience and appropriately priced for the quality of the meal."

  • "Booked identifying wedding anniversary. Placed in outside seating area w/two parties of parents with children. Suprised the hostess sat us in a such a non-romantic setting. Attempted to enjoy but celing heaters blew hot air on our faces. We asked hostess to move us & entered a quieter room full of adults. Neapolitan vegetable appetizer special - fantastic, veal saltimbocca - husband claimed best he ever had, tortelleni stuffed with proscuitto on shaved filet - bit salty but flavorful. Creamy gelato with cherries & capuccino with annisette biscuit were highlight of the evening. Bottom line, although my husband and I adore the food, the atmosphere is not welcoming There was no personal touch and not a soul acknowledged our anniversary."

  • "Have been to Patricias 3 times in the last two weeks. It is a 50 minute ride from my house in Hingham but really worth it. Service, wine list and food were outstanding. Summer sitting outside must be wonderful."

  • "We ended up staying for over 3 hours! LOVE the carpaccios of beef! Linguine and clams, pasta with red sauce, chicken parm, all good. Gnocchi a little tough. Desserts wonderful: lemon mascarpone cake, 3 little cannolis and blackberry gelato with cappuccinos, wonderful! Our waiter was attentive, a lovely afternoon in the newer room. Molto bene!"

  • "We wanted Italian, quiet, and romance. We did get Italian. You could tell it was a "real' Italian restaurant because there bright ceiling lights, just like in Italy. : / I ordered the beef carpaccio. I'm a salt lover, but this was so salty it was crunchy and truly inedible, and I had to send it back. It was replaced with a new one, which was excellent. Just a slip, I guess, but not one you expect in a restaurant of this caliber (and price). I had the cavatelli with lobster-- the pasta was done perfectly and there was lots of lobster, which made up for the somewhat bland sauce. My husband, a chef, had the Caesar salad which was just ok, and the filet mignon, which he said was one of the best he's had. An uneven culinary experience."

  • "We have been here several times - and as always the food was spectacular. We both had pasta - both were very flavorful and well prepared. Appetizer's were also very good - a beet salad and a Burrata con Prosciutto e Arugola (mozzarella wit prosciutto). Highly recommended."

  • "The food is the best Italian Food, in or out of Italy. Simply amazing chef! The atmosphere is usually very sophisticated. This last time I think we just got unlucky are were seated next to a very large, loud party. Once they left, we enjoyed ourselves much more."

  • "Had not been there since the expansion but was not disappointed. Lovely new contemporary decor. The menu has changed but the quality of the food was outstanding. However you should be aware that the kitchen was not willing to modify their dishes and the costs are also a little more pricey . I feel that they are trying to change more than the number of patrons that can be served."
