Went to Patril's for Valentine's Day. We were not rushed through dinner and both the food and service were excellent. Portions are just right. We were warmly greeted by April, co-owner of the restaurant, and enjoyed speaking with her.

The portions were on the small compared to the price. I had the short ribs which came out warm at best, the wife had primavera which was the correct temperature, but they ran out of shrimp and had to substitute scallops...no big deal. Basically, we left hungry and spent $100. This restaurant is trying to be upscale and its not.

While the food is great, the service and feel of the restaurant are why I go back. This gem is owned and operated by a great couple who make themselves available to the customer. Stories of their time in Italy, passion for food and for eachother are what make visiting Patril a treat!

Very small and quaint. The perfect little neighborhood gem. The pizza was very good. Very fresh and tasty. The crust was so thin and crisp that it was almost like a cracker, which I loved. The vegetarian Shrimp pasta dish was very good. The shrimp was extremely fresh. Unfortunately, the swordfish came out overcooked and very fishy, and had to go back. The staff, however, was very accommodating and apologetic and quickly replaced it with a fresh tomato, basil, mozzerella salad that really hit the spot. If I lived on the peninsula, I would be a regular.
