Food here has definetly gone down hill! Expensive and not very good. Waiter says they are closing and remodeling and re opening under a new name with a different menu. Small plates and a long list of martinis. We'll see.

This was our FIRST time at Patrick David's. We were celebrating our 22nd Wedding Anniversary and everyone took care of us from the moment we arrived. A friend suggested we ask for a booth (which we got)and enjoy a drink at the bar first. Brian took care of us at the bar & it was obvious he acknowledged the "regulars" as well as newbies. Our server, Jerry was the BEST!! He was personable, attentive & knowledgable. The food was fabulous and atmosphere was casual, cozy & fun. We had the seafood pasta dish and ordered their famous chocolate souffle which went well with our bottle of 2008 Del Dotto Cab Franc. Would definitely go there again!

Patrick David's will be redoing its theme, menu, and even its restaurant name so this review may be irrelevant before too long. Food was tasty and portions generous. But menu choices were too limited, especially for lunch where the selection of entrees were more suitable to dinner than lunch (hence the "good" vs. "very good" rating). Service was excellent. Restaurant decor and "view" good from almost every seat, though better to sit away from the bar if an option.

Sorry the restaurant is going to become a martini bar and eatery shortly. No longer open for
lunch on Sat. or Sunday. Usually the food is excellent. Friend's butterfish is what I should have
ordered. The roast chicken dish I had look as if the chef chose the runt on the hen house to put
in the oven. Service, as always, was attentive.

We had never been to Patrick David's, but took a friend to celebrate her birthday. It was a great choice. The restaurant has a cozy, intimate feel to it. The noise level is low, so that you can easily converse with your dining partners. Jerry, our waiter, was excellent - pleasant and attentive without hovering. The star is the food, though. Two of us had the miso marinated Hawaiian butterfish and one had the seafood cannelloni. Both dishes were excellent, but, in my mind the butterfish was the clear winner. Also, don't miss the chocolate souffle for dessert. Order it at the same time as your entrees because it takes about 30 minutes to prepare.
