Patio Delray -
Best Restaurants in Delray Beach
Excellent food, good service and
a friendly owner interested in your satisfaction. The chef created interesting twist on the jambalaya i had, using african spices and flavorings rather the the tradition Louisiana hot stuff. Very tasty! The peculiar part of our visit was that the restaurant was very slow, as it was during our first visit. I hope they are busy during the winter season so they can keep their business afloat. If Patio Delray were on the Ave or Pineapple Grove, i would think it would be packed all the time."

There were 6 of us and they seated
us at a round table. The ambience was fabulous. We had great service and the food was superb. We all had a great time and would go back to eat outside in the patio garden next time. You can even get a really good hamburger. But order the shrimp, you'll love it. We are planning the next time we are going back. It's not the same old restaurant. If you like good food and looking for something different this is the place."
Dined on 7/12/2014
Absolutely love the place! Very
fresh food that you already love, but infused with flavors that you would never have thought to try! It's Asia meets America meets Europe all wrapped up into a simple menu. One of Delray Beach's best kept secrets."
Dined on 7/5/2014
Food avg at best. Place needs to
be renovated. Looks old & was empty on a Saturday night. I will not go back. Two people had steak special & it was tasteless. Asked for blue cheese stuffed olives & told $1 each?? strange & absurd"
Dined on 6/28/2014
I met friends at the Patio for
brunch as I heard that the food was great. The food was mediocre and the coffee was bad. The patio itself is not fantastic, either. You sit under a plastic (?)/ canvas (?) awning which makes you feel as if you are enclosed in a (hot) tent. In fact it smelled like a tent from my childhood days. The upside? It was quiet."
Dined on 6/22/2014
Patio Delray has become my
favorite restaurant. Excellent tasting and appearing food is served from a varied but not long menu. The setting is ideal; whether inside or out."
Dined on 6/7/2014
A gem off the beaten path of the
Atlantic Ave crowds. Fine food beautifully prepared. Ms. Lilly was her always charming self and gracious host. And one heck of a barmaid. Good food, service and atmosphere."
Dined on 5/18/2014
Why wasn't this reservation
eligible for points? The restaurant said they did not understand the reason."
Dined on 5/17/2014
Food & Service was perfect. There
were 6 of us in our party and we all were very pleased."

My husband surprised me with a
belated mothers day celebration even though we both were busy on the actual day. He knew this was one of my favorite restaurants in Delray Beach. We had a nice quiet dinner enjoying each others company with nice wine and beautiful food and unintrusive service. We will have to return with the kids next time."

Arrived for 1:00 reservation on
Mother's Day but would've had to wait a half hour for inside seating. Chose to sit outside on the patio....not too bad as a little breeze was blowing....not much atmosphere out there though....no music....not much chatter among guests....just a lot of fork clanking against plates. Food was good.....service was lacking. Had to remove every plate from our table on each visit to the buffet....waited a lot longer than necessary for the second bloody mary. I have to agree with most people who post on there that the owner is a little rude. If you can get past those few negatives, it's really not that bad. "
Dined on 5/11/2014
Clearly, this was an overpriced
and understaffed effort at providing a Mother's Day brunch. Food was mediocre at best, and service was non-existent. To make matters worse, they added a 20% gratuity for this self-serve buffet for a party of only 5 guests. This was a highly regrettable, disappointing, and overpriced experience. We would NEVER consider returning. "
Dined on 5/11/2014
Food was outstanding. Variety of
seafood and dessert bar was incredible. Can't go wrong with bottomless mimosas. Well worth the price tag. "
Dined on 5/11/2014
The first time I tried this
restaurant was for a Mother's Day Brunch. The food was outstanding and the variety on the menu was more than expected. To me, the restaurant had a bit of a Key West feel to it and had indoor/outdoor seating. The parking lot out front was very convenient. The staff was very nice and attentive. Our waiter was continuously filling our glasses as soon as they were empty. I am looking forward to going back for dinner."

We had dinner with another couple
during the week, outside on the patio. The restaurant was not crowded and it was a beautiful evening. The service was good but not intrusive and the food arrived at the right intervals adding to a lovely relaxed evening of conversation. We were all pleased with our choices but would not have said they were outstanding but very good. The atmosphere was lovely since the patio is covered and surrounded by lush plants. We would recommend for a quiet evening and conversation but thought the prices were just a bit high for the quality of the food. For dessert we shared and the bread pudding was outstanding, not too sweet or soggy. We would go again . "
Dined on 5/6/2014
The food is always different, well
prepared and good. The room is lovely and the out door dining area is very romantic. However, my friends and I both felt it was expensive for what we got."
Dined on 5/5/2014
Food oversalted, and only fair.
Prices were high. Charged for 2 items not ordered."
Dined on 5/5/2014
We had the pork tenderloin special
and the shrimp Alfredo. Both were perfectly prepared and well presented. The complaints about being overpriced are unfounded as the portions are very generous and of excellent quality. Service was prompt and informed relative to the menu. Great local neighborhood restaurant."
Dined on 5/1/2014
Nice atmosphere, food presented
nicely, expensive,. Menu selections limited not easily altered . Food made fresh.not sue we would go back."
Dined on 4/25/2014
Our neighbor wanted to dine there
again to order the Pork Chop, everything on the menu sounded so good, he changed his mind 3x's. We love this restaurant - its pretty, its quiet, clean, the food is always super - and it is always a pleasure to see Lily. My friend and I ordered the Paella, our husbands both had the pork chop - we certainly weren't up for dessert because we were taking home left overs, but ordered the apple tart to split - delicious. The menu is varied and something there for every taste! Highly recommend The Patio!"

Great restaurant, food and service
was excellent. Hope to go back next time I visit Delray Beach."
Dined on 4/20/2014
I took my wife there to celebrate
a momentous occasion in our lives and it was a nice place to sit and focus on each other. It was a Monday night so it wasn't crazy busy, but it seems lie a place you could have a fun night with drinks and projector screens and party, but for us it was a nice quiet night. Food was okay; nothing wrong with it, but it didn't blow our minds. All in all, a great little spot."
Dined on 4/14/2014
Patio looked awesome since we saw
it being built and would drive by constantly. Decided to stop in and give it a shot. Nice outdoor setting on a beautiful night, the perfect ambience. Started off with wonderful bread and a blend of dipping oil, tomatoes, and a hint of little red pepper flakes which were addictive. We should have stopped right there. Food was cooked well but EXTREMELY bland. Same story with every dish. The food is probably geared toward the 80+ year old clientele who have a thousand diet restrictions and can't have a well SEASONED dish. Bottom line.... Drive by this attractive setting (or stop in for bread only) and get an excellent meal in the perfect ambience ANYWHERE else on Atlantic Avenue in Delray."

Patio Delray is a nice place
hidden behind Areca palms in a commercial lot to give it a tropical feeling. A fish pond and waterfall are nice touches. The menu is interesting though some items are a bit pricey especially sine owner charges extra if one does not want the specified side dish which is absurd to me. The fish stew was fresh and fabulous but owner took it off menu and didn't respond to requests from myself and others I know to have it be put back. More fish dishes would be nice. Cappicuno machine seems to a,ways be out of order. We usually have Max as our waiter and he is excellent. If you need more sauce or gravy for your dish owner will often want to charge you. She needs to learn to be more accommodating to her customers"

We have never been disappointed
with the various meals we have ordered. The beautiful and gracious proprietor must select only the finest quality of meats and fish. Preparation is masterful. So delicious. This is one of the restaurants we will not miss while in Delray Beach."
Dined on 4/1/2014
interesting restaurant nestles in
a tropical greenery setting. menu was eclectic mix of Asian and American choices with Peruvian touches, Wait staff attentive and though not live, great background music. Food was very good and served with a nice presentation. We had an early dinner so did not observe much bar activity . would definitely revisit this lovely restaurant."

We had never been there. Enjoyed
very much. Service was great. The menu was very different. The only complaint is that you can't substitute at all."
Dined on 3/30/2014
Excellent meals are served at
Patio Delray, with sophisticated taste!"
Dined on 3/28/2014
It was a pleasant South Florida
evening so we decided to dine outside on the charming patio. The atmosphere was relaxed and unhurried, our server was friendly and knowledgeable without being overbearing, but the food was definitely the star of the show. Everything came out timely and fresh, with the first bite we can taste the care and attention paid to the preparation of the dishes. We took a look at the interior and found it lovely with uplifting colors. My friend has a special event coming up and she thought this place would be perfect for a private party. Can't wait to return with friends"
Dined on 3/24/2014
We tried four items on the menu.
The food at this restaurant is good, but nothing out of this world. The prices, however, are high. The atmosphere is pleasant in a beachy way, but not elegant. Considering that the food and decor are nothing unusually special, the prices should be much lower."
Dined on 3/23/2014
When we asked our waiter if the
chef could prepare a vegetarian dish for my wife, the waiter simply said no. I find it hard to believe that any restaurant would not accommodate a customers specific dietary needs. I would never go back and could recommend this restaurant and maintain a good conscience."
Dined on 3/22/2014
A very lovely setting to spend a
quiet birthday dinner as I did."
Dined on 3/20/2014
We were looking for a place in
Delray that had a sit down brunch, not buffet. Since our two seniors like to sit outside, that was a criteria too. Delray Patio is very pleasant. The décor is well done in & outside. The Sunday brunch menu has both traditional items with a twist and signature items. The eggs benedict with crab cakes was delicious. Nice treat was the bottomless mimosas for $14.00. Service was friendly and professional. We would highly recommend Delray Patio for a very delicious and pleasant way to start your day."
Dined on 3/16/2014
Food was great. Service was fair.
Took forever to take our order. We were a group of four. Brought out one appetizer then took another 15 minutes to bring out the remaining ones. Then it took about another 20 -30 minutes to bring out our entrées. Had to repeatedly as for drink refills. They appeared to be under staffed in servers and in the kitchen. That being said, will give it another try as the food was very good."
Dined on 3/15/2014
The food was ok, not great for the
prices and the place had no one in it. Service could have been better considering there were only 3 tables occupied. If you are looking for a place with a good vibe it isn't here."
Dined on 3/14/2014
This was our first and last time
we will go here, the service was not good. The hostess and the waiter had no personality and certainly did not make us feel welcome. The food was not worth the price, one of our steak dinners was over done but we were afraid to send it back."
Dined on 3/3/2014
We loved the location away from
traffic of Atlantic Avenue. Our group of four lucked into a perfect day to dine outside. The patio tables were clean and comfortable and even though there was a church festival across the road the restaurant was quiet. Our server was sterling. She seemed happy to be there and made us feel welcome. The brunch menu is excellent. All of us enjed something different and every dish was prepared perfectly and served hot and fresh. The Absolut Bloody Mary was just spicy enough. Definitely a place that we'll visit again."
Dined on 3/2/2014
A quaint tucked away oasis. This
is that place where you can truly " Taste the love " in every bite"
Dined on 2/22/2014
Food was excellent. We were a
group of 12 with 4 kids and everyone loved their meals. Service is beyond friendly and warm. Menu is unique and delicious."
Dined on 2/20/2014
We had a table outside under a
canopy near a fountain - very relaxing and quiet. Asian influence throughout the menu - very nice fusion dishes and flavors. I had the signature dish - cioppino, and it was excellent. Would have preferred fewer mussels and more fish, but the flavor was terrific. Guest had a snapper special - also excellent. Modest wine list, but some suitable selections. We will be back for sure."
