  • "We had one of the best nights ever at pat o'briens. The pianists were all brilliant and managed to include everyone young and old. They played all our requests and even did a special slightly rude one for the UK visitors -after 9clock I hasten to add - which brought the house down. Everyone joined in singing and it was a brilliant night. So much so we went back the following night. The hurricane cocktail was a winner and the food was good as well. I would definitely recommend booking in advance."

  • "a) VERY dark had 4 adults in a table that was suitable for 2- thankfully they were not too busy that we were able to put 2 tables together to make more room- b) NO vegetarian options c) Bathroom needs to be updated (orlando location) very dirty and old"

  • "If you going for the dueling pianos, or to enjoy the nice outdoor patio or the famous hurricanes, go forth. If you are going for the food, don't. As a point of comparison I had a shrimp po' boy at Marlows Tarvern that was 10x better than the one I had here. Same goes for the burgers."

  • "Drinks were definitely full strength! Dueling pianos started at 8:00. Had wife and 2 boys (age 16 and 12)....everyone enjoyed it."

  • "We were looking for a spot for a fun family dining experience during our visit to Universal Studios that day (we are annual pass holders and have been to several restaurants on City Walk). When looking online it was advertised that the Piano Bar was open Nightly: 5:00pm - 2:00am - 21 and older after 9:00pm. Since this is a hub for families we felt our teenage sons could experience the fun of a dueling pianos between 6-7PM (before the over 21 bar scene starts). While the older woman playing the piano was charming... It was not the experience we were expecting. We got a mild lounge performance not dueling piano fun. We ordered appetizers (nachos and a sampler platter) Very Very Small Portions and not tasty."

  • "Very nice to "escape" from the strip at Universal. Fun. Good music. Food is good. All in all a good place for family and friends to sit down and enjoy a little taste of New Orleans"

  • "Everything was great! Food, service, entertainment and especially the price. very, very reasonable for a theme park venue!"

  • "Service very slow. They did not have the dessert we ordered so the waiter took it upon himself to decide what to bring us! The food was average at best. I would not go ever again."

  • "The service was very poor. Had to wait over an hour for our food. Was not very crowded ."

  • "We arrived for our confirmed reservation & was told at that time there were no reservations for March 17, 2014. An employee did help us get into another restaurant."

  • "When I walked up with my reservation in hand, the staff looked like I had antennae growing out of my head. When I showed them the reservation the manager said, "Oh... yeah, that reservation is from more than 30 days ago. We usually dump all the reservations after 30 days." What?? It was on St. Patrick's Day so they were a bit overwhelmed. But, they immediately cleared off a table and sat us right in the middle of a raucous crowd. My 8 year old was not pleased. But, my wife and I had a blast and he slowly warmed up to it. After a bit we got out of there as it was only borderline OK for a child. I'm sure it was because it was St. Patty's Day, but still good to know that I would probably go elsewhere with him on big drinking holidays."

  • "The outdoor scene was OK, for being in the Citywalk in Universal Studios. Waiter was disinterested at best. Draft Beer (Blue Moon) was not as good as when served cold and had a blander taste than what I've had most everywhere else. Both the gumbo and entree came at the same time, lukewarm. I've had more interesting gumbo from Campbells!! Steak medallions were fair, but lacked true flavor. When my bill came back, the card had NOT been swiped, with no copy for me. The tip was minimal as was the service and experience. If this is similar to O'Brien;s in New Orleans, buy beignet's!!!!"

  • "No really kid friendly. The tables outside are iron tables with glass tops and not fit for four at the table because they have railings at the bottom of the table. The food was just par. Not good not bad just so so."

  • "My wife had never been to a dueling piano bar before. We had a terrific date night here. The atmosphere is very fun. If you didn't want so much raucous then you could go sit out in the courtyard and enjoy your meal with friends"
    Dined on 3/12/2014
  • "We were not aware that the atmosphere would be so terribly loud. We were there w/family from out of town and had hoped to catch up on some good conversation. Didn't happen!! If were were there just for a fun evening, I'm sure that would have filled the bill."

  • "We sat in the piano bar. We are in our mid-20s and thought that a piano would make for a fun bar night. The bar was full of older groups and the songs played were very old. We've been to other piano bars which played a wide variety of songs, but the piano players only catered to those who were much older. The food was good, but nothing special. We will probably not be returning to this restaurant."

  • "Although we had reservations, they didn't seem prepared for us. They reported to Open Table that we did not show up for the reservation which was untrue. It took 50 minutes from the time we were seated until our food arrived even though we only ordered an appetizer (blackened chicken) and ettoufee (basically something that should have been prepared ahead of time). The nachos were terrible (plain chicken-no blackening at all) canned cheese sauce, a few plain red beans, etc. On top of all of this, we requested to be seated on the patio so that we could enjoy the live band as we have in years past. Apparently they don't bother and opt for the cheaper DJ instead. Not an enjoyable evening."

  • "Its dueling pianos and with 70's 80's and 90's music with some modern music. It's a 21 and over after 10pm and family friendly during dinner time"

  • "We had a great time at Pat O'Brien's. On the good side, the dueling pianos were fun, upbeat, and got the crowd involved. The food was okay too, but just okay. The drinks were not great, over priced, small glasses that were dirty and weak. the outdoor area looked very nice. Our reservations for 8 was way off to the side, which you would think would be a little closer to the piano's because of our group size. Overall the pianos and music was a hit. We would go back for the entertainment."

  • "Not complainers by nature, VERY surprised to find that both the food and sound quality in the piano bar were a dissappointment...just did not expect it! This restaurant seems to have that "tourist approach" in that the quality was of little importance not geared at regular/repeat business. As a local resident & having been to "Jelly Rolls" Piano Bar at Disney, we honestly expected a similar exceptional entertainment experience w/ the added bonus of a great dinner (Jelly Rolls does not serve food). The menu was far too casual for dinner, the quality bland and the sound quality in the piano bar was so poor that we were barely able to hear the pianists singing/music...later in evening just overloud noise. Many potential customers left!"

  • "Bad news: The service was very, very slow both nights (though the servers are clearly racing around working their butts off--I think they need more staff!). The food was only okay. Good news: the staff was very friendly and great to our 8-year-old, and the ambience can't be beat--makes up for the blah food. We all loved the Fire Fountains! A gorgeous place to sit outside on a nice night, especially after a long theme park day. I would recommend this place for sure, but better to just order drinks and maybe a dessert for the kids."

  • "This was a fun time with the piano player and the sing along. 3 out of 4 meals were very good, but my husband's hamburger tasted like cardboard. The drinks were great and the waiter very friendly. I wish the tables had been a little larger, however because we were hard pressed to fit our meals and drinks on it. It did not prevent us from having a great time, though."

  • "The hostess at the front door was very friendly and accommodating. The menu wasn't very good, and the drinks were watered down. I did like that we got to keep the glasses that our drinks were served in. If you like piano music you will enjoy this place."

  • "We went here before going to see the blue man group. Good food and Good prices. The dueling pianos were tons of fun and re-energizing after a long day at Islands of Adventure. Although a bar, it seemed to be good for kids if early enough in the evening. (before 9pm ish)."

  • "While I know you don't expect a Michelin quality meal at Pat O's, you should at least get competence. The food (what we had) was surprisingly tasty, but the performance issues overshadowed everything, despite the efforts of our friendly but harried server: - our appetizer was delivered to the wrong table ( who had ordered the same thing well after we had) and we had to wait 30 minutes before we finally got one of our own - of the 4 available deserts, the two we ordered were not available (early on a Friday night, and already out of ice cream?). The manager did kindly provide us with some beignets covered with powdered sugar - the perfect desert for two people dressed in black. Server was apologetic, but that only counts for so much."

  • "It took about a half hour before our drinks were out and about an hour for our dinners. The restaurant was not busy. We were a party of 9 and all but one dinner was served. By the time we realized we were not getting the one dinner the waitress was gone. It took about 5 minutes to get her back. She did apologize and went to get the dinner. She came back and said she must have missed it because it was sitting back there the whole time. It was mostly cold but again she was gone. My husbands medium rare steak was like shoe leather. The manager did apologize and told us that the steaks were frozen. My husband ordered a different meal which took about another 20 minutes to get. We were not charged for that. We will not go back."

  • "The ambiance and entertainment in the piano bar is wonderful. Singing along is highly encouraged (even with your mouth full). If you are not into singing while you eat, you will not likely want to sit in the piano bar area. The food was medium priced ($12-$16) and the service was quick and attentive. I would highly recommend this place for a relaxing and entertaining evening."

  • "It was cold and drizzly outside, and a Thursday, so it was not crowded at all for dinner. The menu has a variety for just about anyone. Some people were there just for drinks and the piano bar. The piano man was really great and had the small crowd fully particpating. The volume on his mike could have been turned down a notch. We all plan to go back there again!!"

  • "Food was good with a lot of choices. Loved the authentic New Orleans desserts. It was a little loud to have a conversation with eight people but we really had a fun evening! We would definitely enjoy eating at Pat O'Brian's again."

  • "Arrived early and they had no trouble seating me at the bar. Got a blackened chicken salad with oil and vinegar. It was fine. This place is nothing special, but a great place to go for an easy American meal and some fun atmosphere."
    Dined on 1/22/2014
  • "We were seated right away per our reservation and the hostess warned us it would be loud, but we didn't mind that. The piano music was fun though the vocals were not stellar. Still it was fun. The tables were wobbly but the server told us that was intentional. Huh? Our food, hamburgers and nachos took over one hour to get to the table as we watched people who were seated after us get their food. No explanation was offered. The burgers were hard as hockey pucks, the fries were greasy, really I cannot remember having such bad food and service. Skip this place unless you just want to drink yourself silly. They offer huge alcoholic beverages. Maybe then you won't notice the food."

  • "Made dinner reservations to close out a day trip to Universal. Without going into too much nitpicking, our service was quite slow, & our food took quite a while. Our drinks were ok, but the music was just ok. We were there for a shift change, so we got to hear the end of a set by a single player, and the beginning of a set by dueling players. We put in a request, but I guess our $5 tip with it wasn't good enough, because we never heard it or an explanation. Our food was nothing special - appetizer was so-so, pasta was okay, po' boy was not great, & the roll was hard as a rock & covered in condiments not listed on the menu. Took forever to get our check. I enjoyed this place several years ago, but this trip was not a pleasant one."

  • "The food is great & with a lively piano bar-sing alongs, it is a fun night out! We went before 9, as our teenagers are not 21 & they too had a great time."

  • "We visited last night around 7 & found it to be quite crowded. There was a gentleman playing piano who was very entertaining. We were seated quickly & service was good. Waitress friendly & attentive We ordered drinks to start & they came out very quickly. They were not as expectd & not very tasty. Food was just okay. Dualing piano players who took over the entertainment during ou meal were also enjoyable & I enjoyed the selection of songs they played."

  • "The piano bar area was really, really loud. If you are in the mood for that, its great. The outdoor area was beautiful, quaint and charming. But they allow people to smoke out there. There is no sign or anything posted saying that, unfortunately, Because of my asthma, it was VERY unpleasant for me. It also was not appetizing to go to take a bit of food and taste the smoke in the air. Our server was nice, but he was very busy and rushed, not as personable as you'd expect. But maybe he was just having a bad night, Food was great though...drinks were even better."
