We enjoyed dining at Pat O'Brien's after a day at Universal. It was cold (for Florida) but we enjoyed dining outdoors with two heaters near our table. I had delicious fish and chips and my husband loved his crawfish etouffee. We were happy to have leftovers for a doggie bag. We are fans of the Hurricane, Pat O'Brien's specialty drink. You don't have to wonder if the drink is worth the price! Did not eat Jamaican as the nickname implies.

Go to the piano bar & make a song request (be nice, leave a tip with it), they sing most anything. Get a Hurricane drink too, and sing along with the rest of the crowd. Jambalaya is really good also. We are going back before vacation is over. We had a great time, it's a must do on our citywalk list now.

The piano players were great. Lots of fun and very talented. The food on the other hand was barely edible. We ordered a salad - asked for balsamic dressing and was served a nasty bottled Italian, boring iceburg and a few shredded veggies, worst salad I've had in a while. The chicken wings (10.99 for 6, really?) Were broiled not breaded and fried as expected. The menu said Cajun sauce but there was not one ounce of Cajun flavoring. The only thing half decent was the jambalaya side, lots of meat and flavor. The drinks were good though, so we would go back just for drinks and entertainment.

The food was average bar quality with all the cajunn/creole classics from the original menu. Order a Hurricane if you'd like to go home tipsy ;) It seemed expensive at first blush $13, but it was solidly saucy, and you can take the cool glass home! The Po Boy was tasty, but the Jumbalaya was a bit weak. Pricing here was average with dinner for two and one drink running $80 without appetizers. Overall, a fun experience with dueling pianos after 9pm and a fun bar scene for grown ups. The kids menu is typical but the chicken fingers were actually a high point of the meal (awesome batter and tasty!!).

The place is beautiful! Wonderful feel of Nawlins, food was good, but menu was rather limited. Beinets were amazing, the dueling pianos were great, but the best part was our server Oskar. He is one of the best servers I have ever had, and I was a server and trainer of servers for 10 years. Our drinks were never empty, he made sure we had any and everything we could possibly need, and always with a smile. He was never overbearing though, always in reach, but not hovering over the table.

I booked this experience having never been to the restaurant before but looking for a fun end to our trip to Orlando. The men at the pianos were tons of fun and new a wide variety of tunes. The food was okay, and I would have liked to see more options on the menu, but it was totally worth the experience. I really enjoyed it. Don't go here if you're looking for a quiet experience, because it is anything but!

While planning a trip to Universal Orlando, I made a reservation at Pat O'Brien's through Open Table since I wasn't sure how crowded it would be this time of year. This was a very smooth and easy process. I have been to a couple of dueling piano bars before and really enjoyed them. I have two daughters, 12 and 14, who have never experienced it before, so I thought it would be a fun place to go with the family. They allow children in the piano lounge until 9:00 pm. I had the famous hurricane drink and sang along with the pianist. I had a great time and my girls enjoyed watching. I do have to say that it is a very loud place, with people talking and the music playing, but it is part of the charm you don't get from a lot of other places.

So disappointed.Service is virtually non existent and staff is poorly trained. Food is clearly an afterthought. The wings were oily with no Cajun flavor, the shrimp wedge salad was awfull, the shrimps was left in the fryer 10 minutes too long. The blackened redfish dinner was lackluster both in flavor and presentation. With such a limited menu you would expect the m to have mastered the few items they have. The musicians were talented and engaging. We would only go again late on a weekend night, after having eaten elsewhere, but it will be quite awhile before we do. Lots of potential squandered.

The only good thing about this experience was the dueling pianos. Food prices were ridiculously high, for small portions. And, for a place that's supposed to be New Orleans based, they screwed up both dishes we got - my Crawfish Etouffee had Andouille sausage in it (not supposed to be in there, and it changed the dish), the crawfish were "fishy", obviously frozen, and not cooked in the sauce as they should be - total failure. The miniscule amount of rice in the middle of the plate only added insult to injury. As for our Shrimp & Grits - again Andouille was incorrectly in the dish and there was more sausage than shrimp. The amount of grits served was shameful, especially for a dish called Shrimp & GRITS. The service was atrocious. STAY AWAY!

On top of the very slow service the food tasted cheap but was expensive. We waited nearly an hour to be served which seems the case with many of the restaurants in City walk. I think they are betting on the alcohol tidding you over and If you looking for strong drinks the hurricane will surely do the trick.

Made a reservation online. The hostess was a bit spacey, and the seating staff didn't really have control of the situation that night. It was a pretty important occasion, as the whole trip to Universal Orlando was a birthday gift. After traveling half way across the country and spending so much $$$$, you'd hope that the last thing on the list of worries would be service. Our server more than made up for the experience though by completely accommodating us and creating quite the enjoyable dining experience.

We have frequented Pat O's many times in the past 10years. My son turned 21 and wanted to go. Made reservations on open table. Easy and probably the best part of the evening. Our waitress was pleasant and greeted us immediately and took our drink order, came back in about 15 mins for our food order. Over an hour to get our food! There was only 4 of us. The waitress stopped by frequently. The food was horrible. Jambalaya had very little flavor and was way to tomatoey. My black beans and rice must have been sitting under a warming lamp, because the rice was dried out and crunchy. The entertainers were the worst we ever saw there! We could barley recognize the songs they said they were singing! It will be a long time before we come back.

For it to be a New Orleans themed restaurant, the food leaves something to be desired. I have tasted better Cajun food out of a Zataran's box. The service was horrible, he waitress never came to refill our drinks, the waiter that brought our food spilled some of it on his shirt and had the nerve to serve it to us, as if I didnt see him spill it on his shirt, and the plate had sauce spilled over the side. I had to ask for a replacement and for refills. Stay away if you desire good service. By the way, the man at the piano bar was good.

Went for the food and drink, didn't realize it was a dueling pianos restaurant. Was pleasantly surprised and entertained. Food was good and service wasn't bad considering our server was shorthanded at the time. Either that or the pianos drew my attention away. Jumbalaya was good, and beware of the strong Hurricane drinks. Only gripe was that my $5 song request tip to the piano players was taken and then I never got to hear my song as a result of the piano player shift change. I made an Open Table reservation for 6 PM at 5:52 PM. For some reason the host was discouraging seating in the main room, but let my party right in after she saw I had a reservation. Open Table for the win.

This I would have to say was one of my worst dining experiences on City Walk. The service was average but the atmosphere was way to much. The piano players/singers were so LOUD that we couldn't even have a conversation with the person sitting next to us.I was also very disappointed when I requested to have them say Happy Birthday to m daughter when the host said in order for the entertainment to do that we have to tip the. Umm ok. Also why would I automatically have to pay 18% tip on my bill when the server was not good. It shouldn't be mandatory period... Bad place won't go again and won't recommend either.

I was a bit confused as to whether this bar was meant to be Irish or deep-south themed, but maybe that's because I'm from the UK. Despite this, my wife and I had a really entertaining evening. We arrived at 7 so got to listen to a great solo pianist/singer while we ate, and then about 45 minutes of the duelling pianos while we stayed for a drink. The musicians were of a high standard, if not stellar, and got everyone involved as they played requests. The good was also of a high standard - we shared a jambalaya dish between us, then shared a portion of cheesecake, and felt very satisfied, if not stuffed (but that was the point of sharing). A really enjoyable evening, highly recommended if you'd like live music with your dinner.
