  • "I met an out of town friend at Pastiche because I was very confident we would get good service and great food. We were not disappointed! Pastiche is my go to place when I want to be sure I can have a normal conversation over a nice unrushed lunch."

  • "It had been too long since we had visited Pastiche. We love the new open look of the restaurant! The food and service still are impeccable, and the reasonably priced and fairly extensive wine list is worth checking out. Try one of the nicely priced appetizers during happy hour, or one of the great drink specials. You won't regret it."

  • "This is one of the best "American fare" restaurants in Tucson. We dine here regularly and have always been very happy with the quality of the food, the choices available and the friendly service."

  • "We love to go to Pastiche for pre-symphony dinner. The service is excellent and they offer smaller portions that they call bistro portions which are perfect in that you are not so full that you sleep through the concert. We had the salmon which was excellent and a cup of mushroom soup which my husband said was super. They catered to my gluten free needs. They just redecorated the restaurant and the ambiance is lovely."

  • "We were visiting Tucson from the Midwest and found this gem of a restaurant. Wonderful service. Food was well prepared and interesting - not typical fare. Loved the chipotle salmon cakes. The gigantic cookie and ice cream was super. My mahi mahi was great and my wife's tuna was good, but not better than average. The setting is clean and updated, but feels like a neighborhood bar rather than an upscale restaurant. Absolutely well worth the moderate prices."

  • "New renovation and color choices set a relaxing tone and the open bar offers seating that is just as nice as table. service was timed good, not pushing or interrupting. Food is presented well, the four different choices at our table, but nothing over the top, more simple, not afraid to touch due to picture perfect, but appealing. I personally have chosen Pastiche for a group setting of women, whether it be from the office or friends."

  • "We love Pastiche and make an effort to have dinner there once a week. I tend to order my favorites, but my husband tries new things and all the desserts. We both leave happy. The food is terrific, the service by Peyton is the best in town, and we are never rushed no matter how busy it is. There is no place quite like it in Tucson."

  • "Ordered Bourbon Salmon which tasted great. The portion was very small. The broccoli was cold and the basmati rice portion was so tiny you could hardly see it. Had to order and pay for a side order of rice. Salads were excellent. The new decor is colorful but somehow the restaurant still feels like a bi function too. Service was fine."

  • "New configuration is attractive, and it is still possible to converse in a normal tone. The food is still good, menu more limited and snacky. Fried avocado is quite delicious.Highly recommended is the "gluten free" torte. Seating was odd.Made a rez for 4 with a 5th a possibility later on. Wanted to seat us at a table for four and move when the fifth showed, not thinking about moving table settings, food and drinks if #5 moved mid meal. Inexperienced! Pushed and got a larger table. Server was attentive and helpful, but on-and-off .So, it's still a nice place, and I will still come here, especially since they have a good record of supporting charities, but it's not quite the special occasion place it once was."

  • "We have dined here before. Great value on bottles of Wine and the food is always good. Meals took awhile longer to arrive even though it was not crowded on the restaurant"

  • "Our reservations were for 6 p.m. and we were not seated for another 45 minutes. We did get a chair for my sister as she can't stand for long periods of time. The corn beef my sister and I had was very fatty and we didn't eat it. My brother had lamb and he liked his. The Irish soda bread was like a brick, and that too was not eaten. We did enjoy the dancers and they did very well. We did not see them last year. So this was a plus."

  • "While Pastiche remains one of my favorite restaurants and the service was great, hamburgers may not be their strong suit. My 'medium' done was rare (which I love in a steak), but not a burger) and the spicy cheese I requested as a substitute was not. I was with a friend for lunch and did not want to interrupt our time by having the order re-done, a request I am sure they would have accommodated. The sweet potato frys were excellent!"

  • "Normally, I like Pastiche pretty well. We went for St Pat's Day for the special Irish menu. Had Irish dancers performing, which seems nice, but they took up a lot of room and people stayed while they were dancing (for much too long) and many of the patrons seemed to be families of the dancers. We made Open Table rez but were not seated until 45 mins after our rez time. Service was pleasant, but slow- we were missing 2 sets of silver --had to hunt down someone to bring them. The food was good, but they ran out of Irish soda bread and did not bring us a substitute. One in our party's beer was flat and he did not like the only 2 vegetables they had available (brussels sprouts/cabbage or asparagus) they only offered more potatoes."

  • "Went to Pastiche as they were one of the few restaurants on the NW side of Tucson who were having a special St. Patrick Day dinner. Made reservations for 7:45, and arrived at 7:30 and was told it would only be a 15 min wait. Couldn't understand the reason for the wait as there were empty tables. Finally asked at 7:50 why we were waiting and was told it was because they had to set the tables. 10 mins later there was a table set but when asked why we weren't being seated there, we were told it was because they had to give the servers time, as they had just seated 2 other tables in their section! Finally was seated at 8:05 but waited over 10 mins for a waiter. Corned beef and cabbage was cool and just mediocre in taste."

  • "Had reservations for 7:45 on St. Patrick's Day. Picked this restaurant as it is one of my favorites and they were having a St. Patrick's Day menu. Arrived on time but the place was packed. Seated at 8:05pm. Took a long time for the wait staff to come to the table to get drink orders. We both ordered Harp Lager. After many minutes waitress came back and said they had run out of Harp. Picked another beer. Many minutes later were told they were out of that as well. We settled on non-Irish beer. We placed our food orders, waited a long time. Finally told by manager that they were out of corned beef. He substituted another entree on the house. My brother's lamb chops cooked perfectly. Food delicious, service slow, atmosphere great."

  • "We visited Tucson over St Patrick's Day and had a hard time trying to find anywhere with an Irish menu or pub vibe. We found this eatery online and found that their mobile website was updated with a special St Patrick's Day menu and was well put together, so we checked them out. We fInd that the owners are Irish and it was perfect for that day. We had an awesome experience."

  • "We had reservations but arrived 30 minutes early; no problem. Hostess and servers were excellent. There were two small errors on the bill that were quickly resolved. The four of us enjoyed our meals, a good inexpensive wine, and Irish coffee. Pastiche is always reliable for good food, good wines, and good service."

  • "I keep returning to Pastiche Modern Eatery for special occasion dining, or anytime we want a civilized adult meal. My most recent visit I had scallops, perfectly prepared and presented; scallops are not on the regular menu but served only when the chef is able to get very good quality scallops. My companions raved about the quinoa chicken and the bourbon salmon. Dessert was heavenly with vanilla crème brulee, berry cobbler, and a brownie with coffee ice cream. Service is excellent, friendly and responsive without hovering. High quality food beautifully presented, nice atmosphere in a modern-looking dining room and freshly designed bar area."

  • "We were told the Pasta was homemade before ordering the Beef Stroganoff. It wasn't, so that was disappointing since we wouldn't have ordered it.---- Ribs were good, wine and beer selection also."

  • "The food quality has slipped, the menu has shrunk to more 'snacky' choices in an attempt, I suspect, to attract a younger crowd to the newly expanded bar. Complete with tvs. It was a very disappointing experience, and the food made it not worthwhile at all."

  • "Good food and drink's. Service was a little slower than usual. New remodel is great! Really opens the room up, and big improvement on Bar area."

  • "Four of us dined at Pastiche and we all enjoyed our food. The service was another story. First our server brought glasses of wine instead of the bottle we ordered. Then he never served any bread. We had to ask for it. One of us ordered French fries which he never brought. When he finally did bring them they were cold. When the reservation was made initially it was stipulated that this was a birthday. Also, the server was informed of this. He ignored that fact and did nothing."

  • "I came in for a nice date, it was $15 steak night. Service was prompt, our OpenTable reservation made seating super quick. Our server came around quickly and we ordered our drinks. Their wine selection is awesome!! We started with the fried avocado and the Brie-chetta, and they were both heavenly. I just want a bucket of fried avocado to carry around at all times. Our steaks were cooked perfectly medium and rare, and they were delicious! We were so full we couldn't get dessert, but I've had their desserts before and they are all fantastic. Thank you Pastiche for creating memories, my first date was awesome! PS: I love coming in on Mondays as well for the Burger and a Beer special. You're doing it right!"

  • "Made the reservation 5 days in advance for a quiet table and was seated in the middle of the restaurant surrounded by many other tables. Asked to be moved to a quieter table and the hostess had an attitude about it. Food was not memorable."

  • "This was not my first choice come Valentines Day, however, after eating here, I would highly recommend Pastiche to anyone. The restaurant was quiet and both my date and I commented on how we did not feel like sardines as other higher end restaurants can feel. The service was not amazing, but our waiter had a good sense of humor and checked on us fairly often. The food was not only amazing, but reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very romantic and serene. Last but not least, GO WILDCATS!! Valentines Day just so happened to be the U of A vs ASU game, and despite our loss, the entire staff bled Red and Blue with my date and I. Not to mention, the bar had blue and red lights. I would highly recommend the restaurant to anyone!!!"

  • "With the new decor, great service and innovative cuisine, we were very pleasantly surprised on Valentine's Day. I had imagined that a great many changes had been made. The restaurant was opened up a bit creating a sense of conviviality/ The bar was expanded. But the friendly service and good food remain."

  • "The change in the menu last fall and the renovations of the space in January have changed the entire character of the place. It was for about 7 years our "go-to" restaurant - out-of-town friends had to be taken there. This sadly will no longer be."

  • "Perfect place for excellent food. A delightful place to socialize with friends—it's quiet enough to actually carry on a conversation. And the service is perfect—unobtrusive yet knowledgeable and friendly and there when needed."

  • "I would never recommend this restaurant for anything! "Energetic" noise level? "Vibrant bar scene"? Are you kidding? Where is the category for annoying, loud and lousy food? We have been going to Pastiche for probably 15 years. Recently they have enlarged to bar and added two huge TVs. They must have also gotten a new chef because their former ample well made portions have become small , overcooked and poorly presented. They seem to be living on their former reputation and trying to squeeze every penny out of poorly prepared and presented food. Their former large and innovative menu has become short with little choice and no frills to get anyone to come back. Its noisy, nasty and overpriced. Really a waste of $$ - we will never return."
