A god meal with somewhat uneven
service. Dishes weren't cleared in a timely manner and drink delivery times were lagging. I do like the food and would certainly give this place another chance. Used to be a favorite before it closed down and I hope they can return to former glory."

We had a Groupon to Pasteur and so
glad we purchased it. We probably wouldn't have found this restaurant otherwise. They went all out by putting their best dishes on the Groupon menu. The best part of the entire evening was our server Roseanna. She made impeccable recommendations for starters and wine. As good as the food was - she was even better. The beef roll starters were delicious! The spices they used in the beef entree were also mouth watering. Definitely will be back!!!"

If you're looking for something a
little bit different, Pasteur is a good bet. The food was varied and all quite good. Tables not too close together. Decor less "colonial" than it used to be. Prices a bit better."

Nicholas was our waiter when we
went there. He was sweet and very helpful. His recommendations were awesome and delicious. I lived a few blocks east of the location and never heard of it until we went on OpenTable. I'm so glad that we tried this place. We will definitely go back there. LOVE IT."

My friends and I ended up going
here because our previous dinner plans got messed up. It was 8:10 pm on a Friday and Pasteur said they could have a table ready for 4 and a high chair in 15 min. It was a great experience. The service was great and so was the food. It was the first time for all of us. We definitely will be going back."

The food was fine, but it was on
par with anything you could get at a smaller and cheaper neighborhood thai or Vietnamese restaurant. The service was rude. We were rushed from the beginning despite the restaurant being pretty empty (both when we arrived and as we were leaving). It was Valentine's Day, and the waitstaff cleared my plate before my boyfriend finished his, so it was awkward. Still, the experience proved to be romantic because my boyfriend and I could bond over the overwhelming mediocrity and snippy waitstaff."

We had the prix fixe menu with a

My husband and I wanted to have a
romantic dinner there. The restaurant was quiet and considered romantic, and we like the bartender. However, the service was poor (we had to ask for utensils, plates, etc), and the staff really wanted to take our dishes away even we were still eating. The food was just ok, but the price was ridiculous high. Comparing to other Vietnamese places around Argyle (very closed by), we would rather go to Argyle then coming back to Pasteur."

birthday for my wife Marcia and we chose this restaurant to celebrate. We had the place to ourselves for most of the early weekday evening. We loved the apetizers, drinks, and French music in the background. The soups were out of this world"

I absolutely love Pasteur. We had

The first time I ate at Pasteur we
were seated in the open courtyard behind the restaurant and I was unimpressed with the ambience and the service. This time (winter) we ate inside at a lovely table by the window and the dining experience was much improved. The ambience in the main restuarant is great and is an important part of the overall dining experience. We had the daily fish preparation and it was excellent. We love the ability to order "small plates" so we can try items we might otherwise want to buy as entrees without tasting."

My husband and I moved to Uptown
last November and saw Pasteur right away and said, we should totally go there. Well the year came and went and we never went to Pasteur. We were a little unsure of what French-Vietnamese might mean in action. Well, in action, it is nothing but absolutely delicious. The creative dishes are amazing in flavor and execution. The ambiance is dynamic. Our fellow diners were as unique and interesting looking as the dishes. I am just sorry we missed the summer season on that lovely patio. However, walking in there from a 15 degree outside, we were immediately transported to a warm, tropical, and glamorous world. This is a new favorite spot. The claypot dishes are a must try!"

The soup was outstanding. The
spring rolls good but skimpy on the portion size. The basil shrimp was good. The short ribs were terrible. They were dry, overcooked and paper thin, difficult to cut. I have never seen short ribs served that way before."

I was excited to revisit Pasteur
after many years, but was disappointed. In spite of a beautiful room and great service, the food was bland with the exception of one beef dish. We tried two of the appetizer spring rolls which had different fillings, but pretty much tasted the same. I was looking for bold and unique flavors and textures, but sadly they were missing."

We love Pasteur. We have relatives
who come twice a year from California, and they always ask to go there when they visit. Every now and then, we treat ourselves to dinner there solo. This visit, the food was exceptional as always, but the waiter seemed inexperienced. Nothing dire, and he was nice enough, but it wasn't the expert level of service we've come to expect from Pasteur."

We had a reservation for 10 people
at 8pm... after 20 min at an empty bar with 1 bartender, we received a complimentary appetizer, but still no drinks ordered.. we were fine waiting, but drinks would have been nice... ( 1 bartender for the entire restaurant is not a good idea).. after 30 min they told us our table was not ready but they could move around the chairs/tables at the bar area for us... we said that was fine... If we were not as easy going as we are, that would have been a problem.... The food was good and came out without problems,, I will go back, but hope to expect more organization from the reservations staff and more bartenders..."

I have been here at least three
times as I live close by and most times have been dissapointed. The Quality of the food is just not there. Service is nice but the food needs a work, there are comparable Asian food choices nearby. The Restaurant's décor is actually beautiful, really wish they realize that food should be their most important asset though. Service levals are OK, nothing out of this world. When I made reservation I requested a quiet area to sit down with some business colleagues and they placed me right next to another table when the restaurant was pretty much empty. We were able to hear the entire conversation from next table. Scallops were kind of overcooked and our Pork was served with peas and carrots, strange."

It's a shame the service has
gotten so bad here, because the food is very good. We were only one of two parties the night we ate there, and we were seated well before the other party, but our waitperson briefly stopped at our table just to tell us she'd be with us in a while. At that point, she proceeded to the other party's table, where she stood and had a long, long conversation with them. Seemed as if she must have known the people. It must have been at least 15 minutes before she could tear herself away from them and finally come to our table to take our drink order. After that, a series of mistakes were made in our order, and it seemed like no one really knew what they were doing. So unprofessional."
