  • "First time here for Mother's Day Brunch. Extensive buffet brunch included all the usual offerings, but refreshingly surprised to see a lovely assortment of salads, ahi tuna, and salmon also. Would definitely recommend it. Mimosas also included. Bloody Mary's were offered at an additional charge. Especially nice sitting out of their Main Street facing patio. Friendly, energetic staff."

The greeter graciously offered to hold a window table for us while we were enjoying happy hour. Catching up with a friend over a delicious, fresh, light dinner was perfect... We stayed until the restaurant was closing, feeling very comfortable doing this on a weeknight. I would highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "The service here was sub par. The food was fine. My son's lasagna entrée looked like a kid's portion. For the prices that they charge here, they should of gave him 2X as much. When I ordered a garden salad, the waitress asked me if I wanted tomatoes with it to make it look greener. Bread was only brought to us before our entrees came, never during the meal itself. Our desert, a small dish of geleto took forever to be delivered to our table. The waitress gave us the wrong bill. I had to physically take the bill and payment to the manager to get it taken care of. Like I said ... if you are not in a hurry ..."

  • "The best restaurant in Pleasanton. The specials are always amazing from the special steaks, to the halibut, the swordfish, the lobster tails, the lamb chops to the pork chops. You won't find all of these all of the time but you will always find one of the highest quality steaks you have ever eaten along with the some selection of incredibly fresh seafood. It's always prepared expertly with a serving of either garlic or spinach mashed potatoes along with a healthy serving of whatever fresh vegetable is available. And hands down the most comprehensive wines by the glass list I have seen anywhere! The owner is always out and about checking on each table. That says it all. Worth a visit."

  • "Our dinner went very well - BLT wedge with extra dressing, shared calamari appetizer, meatballs from the appetizer menu turned out to be big enough for a main dish, salmon and prawns over pasta in white sauce - everything was delicious, served to the table in time by the very attentive server Amanda B. We'll be back soon to try some other dishes."

  • "Wow what a disappointment service was very slow, food came out looking beautiful but was sat in the back till it was luke warm/cold We did not make a fuss since we were with very old friends however if we were alone we would have complained to management for sure!! DO NOT think allowing patrons to let children to roll around on floor blocking aisle to rest room should be tolerated when our bill for 4 was in the mid $$$ range"

  • "Hostess was rude with a major attitude when we told her we had requested a window table to celebrate a birthday. As it turns out, she's the daughter of the restaurant owner. The waitress was pleasant but the water service was extremely slow. Fettuccine Pescatore was a good portion with lots of clams, mussels and fish. Rigatoni Napoleta was average. Braised Short Rib & mashed potatoes were too salty. Maybe the chef forgot he/she had already seasoned the dish and salted it again and again. We had been getting takeouts from Pastas the past 15 years or so, but no more! Wouldn't want to have to deal with the boss's daughter again."

  • "Complimentary Brushetta brought to the table after you sit down, Warm Bread with Olive Oil Balsamic Vinegar Garlic mixture is served next. Had the fixed price dinner - Excellent Caesar Salad, Lamb Chops, and Tiramisu while son also had Caesar Salad, Steak & Lobster, and Mango Sorbet. Wife had Lobster Bisque and Butternut Squash Ravioli. Everything was great and service top notch. Quite impressed with the quality of the dining experience."

  • "My husband & I had a nice dinner at Pasta's Tratorria. We were seated halfway back of the restaurant. They seat smaller parties of 2-4 in the front and large parties in the back. So, we did noisy from the nearby large party. We ordered the Calamari appetizer and it was cooked well - nice and soft, not chewy served on top of a tomato sauce & an aioli drizzle. Portion size was big - good for 4 to share. My husband had the chicken pasta with artichokes, mushrooms in a madeira cream sauce. I had the seared ahi pasta dish. The ahi was just a bit overdone for my taste but the flavor was very good. It had a mix of veggies with the pasta. Both dishes were tasty. Prices were reasonable. A very nice restaurant that we will go back to enjoy."

  • "This was my daughter's first Mother's Day and Pasta Trattoria made it very memorable. Our waiter was outstanding. For a buffet brunch the waiter went above and beyond with his service. When my husband's napkin fell off his lap the waiter was right there picking it up and putting it back on his lap. The food was very good. My daughter and I loved their salads and dessert. My husband loved the salmon in dill sauce, the sausage and cheese cake. I have been there several times for lunch and they never have failed in their service and food quality. My husband and daugther want to go back and try different items on their menu. The wine was also very good. We had a Wente Chardonnay that was very buttery which is how I like it. Fun place"

  • "I have been a long time resident of Pleasanton and when I had an out of town business client visiting I elected to dine here. Although the food was descriptions on the menu sounded flavorful the actual flavor fell well short. There were few pasta dishes listed and I was trying to figure out what the restaurant was trying to be, a steak house maybe? I found myself actually having to look for pasta on my plate. Alcohol prices were high for both wine and mixed libations. Pricing was very expensive for the value from a pasta restaurant. I was disappointed. For this kind of pricing I would have walked around the corner to the steakhouse, spent the same amount for my party of 6, and had a better meal."

  • "The wine was extremely overpriced. A bottle of Riva Ranch Chardonay which sells for $12 in grocery store, was $45. That is almost 4 times the retail price. That is ridiculous. I can understand three times as much, but 4 is unheard of. I usually do not bring my own wine to restaurants, but I will definitely pay corkage fee and bring my own Riva Rance if I go back."

  • "The food as always was wonderful but the service was lacking! It was a busy afternoon in Pleasanton and there were only 2 waiters/waitresses. Our waiter was overwhelmed with customers and he forget sauce for calamari, no salt or pepper on table, did not offer us dessert or coffee. I love this place but they need to improve their wait staff!"
