Diner Reviews
  • "We always make sure to dine at the Pasta Pirate. We always ask for Beatrice table. She is full of energy and fun."

  • "One blk off Fremont is an interesting place. Good value for what they serve. All dishes come with a sweet white wine or a red. Steak and lobster was good as well as escargot which was unexpected. Cioppino was just okay"

  • "Delicious New York steaks with the trimmings at a great price. Risotto that tasted a bit more like Mac & cheese was the only reason I gave the food 4 stars. Be sure to make a reservation."

  • "Great deal on filet mignon & lobster tail for $20. Includes glass of wine, freshly baked bread, soup or salad. Steak is always done to perfection. Service was very good."

  • "What we liked was the open kitchen so you could see the chef cooking the food. It shows theat they make everything to order. My wife enjoyed her Alfredo and I enjoyed the ziti and meatballs. The bread with garlic butter was also delicious!!"

  • "Excellent Food our Filet Mignons were cooked just the way,we ordered them.Service was superb, atmosphere was very nice. I loved the the fact that they keep their reservations right on track"

  • "On this visit I ordered the Rib Eye steak. It was okay, but there was a lot of fat to it. Other than that, it was a good steak. My spouse had the fish and stated that it was excellent. We have dined here on several occasions and have never been disappointed. I would recommend the lobster and filet dish as this has always been excellent. Service is generally good, but this time it was a little off. I believe this was a new waiter. Restaurant is small so definitely make reservations."

  • "Great place. The food was very good & the service excellent. Prices were very reasonable. You even get a free glass of house wine with dinner. Better have a reservation though."

  • "Pasta Pirate is the best kept secret downtown. Where else can you get a delicious seafood soup (or salad), filet mignon with grilled shrimp, baked potato, fresh veggies and a glass of wine for a total of $18?? I come here often and always take my out of town company here for dinner. Great place"

  • "Our experience at Pasta Pirate was good. I had the ribeye. I ordered it medium rare but it arrived medium well. I told our server, Lazlo, who immediately apologized and ordered another with another baked potato to make sure it was served hot. The ribeye was corrected. Since it was Valentine's Day, he gave us dessert. So nice! Will certainly return on our next trip to Vegas to see our favorite server!"

  • "Once I learned about this gem of a restaurant, I frequent it often. Great food, great service... Make a reservation ! I love the special of Steak and lobster with a great salad, fresh veggies and roasted potatoes.... and a glass of wine. You can't beat the quality of food for the price you pay."

  • "We had the surf and turf. The steak was prepared just to our liking as was the lobster tail. This is a good place for an inexpensive meal. However, it is small and strongly recommend making reservations. Menu is not large, but we have dined here several times and have not been disappointed."

  • "We have dined here on several occasions and have never been disappointed. We had the Filet and Lobster tail and found it to be excellent. Filet was tender and cooked exactly as requested. Lobster tail is small, but also very tasty. This a small location and suggest reservations be made or you may wait a long time. Food is good and price is excellent. Great small restaurant."

  • "Using Opentable I looked for a restaurant in Vegas taht was moderately priced. This was it! Nothing fancy, but great food and staff. I had raw oysters that were fresh and tasty, followed by Ciopino (a seaford mix with lobster, clams, etc over liquinie and light broth) and a house salad. It was really a great find, the price as right, and the staff was great. If you're on Freemont Street you MUST stop in (its in the Califormia Hotel). If you're on the strip, you still need to see Freemont Street anyway, and if you do, don't miss Pirate Pasta."

  • "Develope a half portion menu for seniors. I cannot finish all the food on my plate and have to take some home. It is never as good when reheated. In addition I can't ever sample your desserts because I stuff myself trying to finish the main course."

  • "From Marley the host to Beatriz the waitress to Nicky the 'do it all,' this place is always excellent."

  • "This was the best meal we had during our stay on Fremont Street. Service, food, wine - everything was top of the line!"

  • "Excellent service--Waiter suggested several entrees and they were all very good. The complimentary glass of wine is great. Pasta dishes were the best--grilled seafood pasta and clam pasta. The steak and seafood combinations were good. Did present our birthday guest with singing and a complimentary dessert. We were seated immediately and service went on an even basis. Salad was a bit overdressed Family members enjoyed the ravioli and spaghetti and meatballs. The servers did accommodate our need to have a separate check."

  • "Two in the party had the Surf and Turf. They both said the lobster was good, but the steaks had been prepared incorrectly. The service was okay, but not great. The restaurant is small and somewhat cramped. The menu is also small. Not a lot of choices. There are much better places in Las Vegas, but none with the price deals they have. The food is good and the price is right. This is a good restaurant for an inexpensive dinner. Due to small size, may want to make reservations."

  • "My friends have been going here for years, this was my first time. It was fine for what it was, decent Italian food and a place to hang out and catch up. I think the seafood dishes others had may have been better than my pasta dish, but I enjoyed it."

  • "This is the only place that actually serves a good sized portion of Alaskan King Crab Legs. They were sweet and delicious! I loved that melted clarified butter in a tin above a lit candle-very clever. The house red wine was delicious and went well with the meal. The bread was also wonderful and the garlic butter sublime. There are only a few if any places that serves the crab legs like Del Conte's used to on PCH. It's gratifying to know that it exists at Pasta Pirate. Our waitperson, Laszio was such a character and we enjoyed his helpful and attentive service. We also loved the Cioppino. What an amazing flavorful soup with all the delights of the ocean in it! Thank you for such a memorable and wonderful experience."

  • "My wife and I ordered the ribeye steak and filet and prawns dinners. The food was very good except the house vegetable, broccoli, was cold and undercooked. We also ordered the steamed clams appetizer. That was very good but the portion was a little small. All in all another nice dinner for us at the Pasta Pirate."

  • "This wasn't our first trip to the Pasta Pirate. We wanted a 7pm reservation, but the earliest available time was 8:30, so we took that. We arrived 5 minutes early and the place was 1/2 empty - ? We waited a while for a server - we were starting to think we didn't have one! Food was good, fresh and hot - nothing to write home about. We like that they give you a glass of house wine with dinner. The bread was very good and the baked oyster app was delish."

  • "Oh my God! I cannot say enough about how delicious the food was at Pasta Pirate! If I wasn't so careful about my weight, I would eat there every night!!! The atmosphere was very nice and comfortable and the prices were so affordable...My only complaint, well, not really a complaint, we will call it a concern....was that the patrons were mostly of Asian decent and so were the servers and my sister and I are Caucasion. We did not receive the same warmth and attention as the other diners. That was a bit disappointing and a bit hurtful...But, again, the food!!! Oh my goodness, soooo good!"

  • "Absolutely loved it. Flavors of seafood pasta dish were better than in Italy we had lobster tail colloidal shrimp tuna oysters clams and four large scallops all cooked to order and we asked for spicy in a Lemon basil sauce all for $22 plus salad or soup and to top it of a free glass of wine all tops my list for Las Vegas eateries"
