Pasta PaneGreat Father's Day DinnerWe had a party of 6 and the food was great..... the service was great.... and they didn't push us out after dinner. We sat at the table for a good 20+ mins catching up and no one pushed us out the door.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMYou Will Love ItPasta Pane is a gem. You'll want to become a regular. Excellent food every time you dine here served by an energetic and knowledgeable staff. Served in an environment which caters to adults and to family and provides great value for each. Every experience here reminds us why we keep coming back even though it is not in our neighborhood and requires a bit of trek to get here.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMNever disappointed. We have celebrated a few birthdays here as well as had some romantic dinners. The food is fresh, innovative and classic. It's not always easy to please my Italian wife and family, but they love the food. Where else can you get true arancini (called suppli in her family). The menu pleases meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The staff is friendly and professional.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMvery good....my first timeOverall it was a great experience. The decor was appealing when I walked in, smelled heavenly! It was rather loud, but the staff was friendly and I noticed it was very kid and family friendly. The food was outstanding as was our service, overall. My only negative experience was we were seated next to a middle aged gentleman who was dining with his mother and her friend. He was loud and full of himself making it hard for my friends and I to hear our own conversation. The tables are rather close together and this table was rather high maintenance, thereby taking up a lot of the waiter's attention. While our waiter did a good job, we certainly did not get as much attention as our neighbors. I will definitely try Pasta Pane again.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMA surprising gem in Clifton Park!My husband and I had eaten at the other three restaurants in the DZ ownership and considered them delightful. I was thinking of Pasta Pane as the less sophisticated, little "brother" to the Saratoga restaurants. Boy was I wrong! Pasta Pane is every bit as sophisticated, delicious and amazing as it's Saratoga relatives! The ambiance was wonderful, service excellent and the food delicious! Love, love, love that you can order half servings of some of the pasta dishes!!!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat, but a little chillyGreat outdoor dining patio, but need to get those heaters working!!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoy going to pasta paneWe enjoy going to pasta pane whenever we have a special reason to go out...,whether it b bdays, anniversary, or just date nite. Outside dining was so nice although a little chilly the waiter was kind enough to light the burners to keep us warm. Food is great wine was awesome love it we haven't ever been disappointed :-)5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Local Choice! We had heard bad things about Pasta Pane when it first opened so we stayed away. We more recently heard that it had turned itself around so we decided to give it a try. VERY happy that we did! They had our table ready on-time, appetizer showed up piping hot - and they actually gave us time to eat it! Everything that we had was delicious save for possibly the bread. The rolls were quite small which resulted in an overabundance of crust in my opinion. But that's really a nit-pick. If you're been putting off trying Pasta Pane like we were - give it a chance. Just be aware that the interior is VERY loud. They really should put some sound-dampening material on the ceiling.
Next time we might try the deck.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have decided that thisWe have decided that this is now our favorite restaurant! We love the menu, atmosphere and great service!!5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMmothers dayDue to unemployment I have found myself not going to dinner or lunch for the last 6 months so I thought the flavors and the whole meal was fantastic - but a more realistic view , my daughter who is a pilot and eats out fairly often thought it was just ok. Probably a 2 star, but me it was definitely a 3. Thanks for a great meal with my family.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect! We made reservations on a busy Saturday night at 7:15 to catch up with old friends. The lobby was full of people waiting but we were shown to our table immediately! Our waiter gave us a list of specials but did not rush us. Service was amazing! He was
there when we needed but not obtrusive. We started with crusty bread and extra virgin olive oil full of flavor. The food was hot, plated beautifully and delicious! The manager/owner (?) stopped by to see how everything was and when we told him it was our first visit he returned with 2 bottles of olive oil for us to take home. We will be back!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner Great ! Other diners poor!Dinner and service were great as usual. Pork Shank and Daily Special Mahi MAhi were terrific. A large family next to us felt it was fine for children to be running, screaming, bumping into our table, and constantly in the way of the servers. I was quite surprised no one spoke to them. If hot food was spilled, it would be quite a liability. We were looking for a quiet Saturday dinner which was ruined by inconsiderate people. This is becoming more and more of an issue and restaurants need to adress how to kindly ask these folks to step outside for a few minutes. Another group that came in on the other side requested to be moved. It was quite annoying!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMJust moved from Saratoga toJust moved from Saratoga to Clifton Park so we were happy to see a sister restaurant of two of our favorites in Saratoga - Chianti's and Forno Bistro. We miss Saratoga downtown but Pasta Pane helped us forget that we aren't there. Great night! We will be back.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat eveningGreat meal-server was attentive and professional and friendly. Food portions good and filet and penne ala vodka flavorful. The owner engaged my 7 year old and sent over cappuccinos and a dessert tray after learning my husband just returned from Afghanistan. So thoughtful and engaging-great evening. Best restaurant in Clifton park!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were a group of five, celebratinWe were a group of five, celebrating my mother's 68th birthday. It was our second time at Pasta Penne. Again, the service went above and beyond what to normally expect. Customer service is outstanding. They knew from the beginning we were celebrating my mom's birthday and they made her feel extra special. Not only the Happy Birthday in Italian and tastefully done, but a free delicious tiramisu and a small bottle of olive oil for her. I love this place!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place, great foodWe always love the food we order here. We try to go early before the lively night scene kicks off, since we have young kids. The menu is great for our toddler, and we enjoy just about everything on the menu as well.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMthat was my first time atthat was my first time at the restaurant. very nice place and the prices were reasonable.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
