Pasta Panemothers dayDue to unemployment I have found myself not going to dinner or lunch for the last 6 months so I thought the flavors and the whole meal was fantastic - but a more realistic view , my daughter who is a pilot and eats out fairly often thought it was just ok. Probably a 2 star, but me it was definitely a 3. The lobby was full of people waiting but we were shown to our table immediately! Our waiter gave us a list of specials but did not rush us. Service was amazing! He was
there when we needed but not obtrusive. We started with crusty bread and extra virgin olive oil full of flavor. The food was hot, plated beautifully and delicious! The manager/owner (?) stopped by to see how everything was and when we told him it was our first visit he returned with 2 bottles of olive oil for us to take home. We miss Saratoga downtown but Pasta Pane helped us forget that we aren't there. Great night! The owner engaged my 7 year old and sent over cappuccinos and a dessert tray after learning my husband just returned from Afghanistan. So thoughtful and engaging-great evening. Again, the service went above and beyond what to normally expect. Customer service is outstanding. They knew from the beginning we were celebrating my mom's birthday and they made her feel extra special. Not only the Happy Birthday in Italian and tastefully done, but a free delicious tiramisu and a small bottle of olive oil for her.
