Diner Reviews
  • "The food was fine. A little heavy on the sauces, but good. Nothing outstanding, but solid. Don't plan on spending a lot of time here. They get you in and out quickly. Food came within minutes of our order. Convenient to theater district. The host was not very warm and friendly, but we were seated quickly on a Wednesday night."

  • "Took party of 9 for dinner before show on a Saturday night. Arrived at 5:30 and each enjoyed a delicious meal in a festive yet relaxed atmousphere, no feeling of being rushed out, portions were large and food prepared perfectly. Very reasonably priced. Our group ranged in age from 12-75 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Having eaten in dozens of italian restaurants all over NYC, I would count this as one of my new favorites. I will definitely come back!"

  • "Went to Pasta Lovers with my daughter on a Thursday night before going to see a Broadway show. The service was outstanding, but that might have had a lot to do with the fact that the place was practically empty. I had Chicken Scarpariello and my daughter had grilled lamb chops. She loved her chops. I enjoyed my meal, but it was a tiny bit overly spicy. We had crab cakes for appetizers and they were mushy. It was convenient to the theater and I would go back again, but would probably order pasta!"

  • "This is East of seventh and is a good find- both pricing and food quality. Can get lighter fare than is typical further west. Good for theater regulars tired of the normal scene."

  • "We stopped in here before a Saturday matinee. Super convenient location, and really good food...varied menu...the waitstaff was very friendly and accommodating, and the entire place was immaculate!"

  • "I've been here several times before heading to the theatre and this place has never disappointed! If you let the staff know you have a curtain to make they go out of their way to see it happens. The food has always been delicious and plenty of it. Definitely one of the better and more reasonably priced restaurants in the theatre district."

  • "My cousins and I ate at Pasta Lovers Trattoria on Saturday, March 15, 2014 after seeing a matinee. We were a party of five and were seated immediately. We were shown to a lovely banquette in the back of the restaurant. The staff was friendly and knowlegdeable. Our waiter made recommendations and was able to describe different dishes that we inquired about. Our food arrived quickly, was hot and very tasty. Three of us enjoyed the Chilean sea bass with risotto (the fish was fresh and the risotto was creamy and delicious) and the other two had pasta dishes. Two of us brought home a good sized portion our dinners. I had actually dined there a few years ago, and when I recognized the restaurant I knew that we had made a good choice."

  • "Have had meals here maybe 12 times over past 3 years. The food is average to poor, service slow and if not convienent for clients I would not dine here again. I say that every time I eat here but still return due to its location, only."

  • "Near my office menu offers decent well optioned fare. In a location that offers very expensive options or food trucks this local place is a gift."

  • "Found through Open Table App about 3 hours before Saturday evening dinner when some others were already booked. The staff was welcoming and attentive, the food was VERY good, and reasonable (considering Times Square location), and the restaurant was open, roomy, and more elegant than I expected. It's our new "go-to" in Times Square."

  • "We were a group of 14 looking for a place to eat near Times Square on a Saturday night. I'm so glad that we ended up here. The service was excellent. They accomodated us quickly, the food was wonderful and we felt very welcomed. It wa a lovely, quiet spot to regroup from the hustle and bustle of New York after our matinee. I would highly recommend Pasta Lovers Trattoria."

  • "Having been put off by the name, I was surprised by the very good pasta (lobster ravioli special) and cappuccino. All pastas were $19.95. The restaurant was pleasant and quiet in the back and there was a fairly lively bar scene in front for the younger set. Mostly for tourists, perhaps, but I'd go back because of decent food and good value"

  • "Great restaurant for family. Good food and reasonably priced. Very kid-friendly and many selections that most kids would enjoy. Wait staff very accommodating. Service can be a little slow if you are in a rush so relax."

  • "This is a great spot for lunch away from the crowds of Times Square. We opted for pizza to share . We decided to get the stuffed crust pizza -baked ziti. The small size is good for two. The baked ziti in the pizza was very delish. I would come back for the pizza and opt to try their pastas."

  • "We were a party of nine and we were all happy with the restaurant! The food was delicious, and the restaurant was decorated beautifully for the holidays. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. Desserts were worthwhile. We will be going back."

  • "Our family of 5 went before a show. It was a great location. The ages of our group ranged from 15-47. The menu had a lot of options and this is what we needed to please 5 picky kids. My son had stuffed pizza, a daughter had raviolis and another daughter had spaghetti and meatballs. My husband had salmon over chickpeas and cucumber salad and I had grilled lemon chicken over arugula. The salmon was delicious. All of the food was good. I would not say outstanding food, but for the purpose we needed, it was good and I would recommend it for families looking for an alternative to a fast food option. The restaurant also had a decent wine list to pick from."

  • "Had a group of 6 who went for lunch on a Wed prior to seeing the Xmas spectacular. Nice variety of house wines. Everyone liked their main entree. Main course came before we finished the apps but it seemed they just were use to having people who needed to eat and run. We had plenty of time so weren't in a hurry. Everyone said they would come back."

  • "This was a last minute reservation while sitting in traffic waiting to enter the QMT. The general consensus was italian and this was the closest to our Icon garage with availability. It was packed, but we were seated fairly quickly. Our waiter was overwhelmed with a very large and VERY NEEDY group behind us, which made our service lag. Our runner/busboy however was so very attentive and had deer in headlights eyes, I wanted to give him a hug. Granted it was a Friday night in December, but there should have been more help. The food was decent. They nicely offered my daughter a half portion which saves on the bill. We didn't stay for dessert because we knew it would be a while and we just wanted to get in, see the tree and go home."

  • "Enjoyed a great casual meal...calamari appetizer, ziti siciliano, whole wheat pasta dishes were awesome! Festive atmosphere and super friendly service helped kick off our holiday trip to see the tree and show at Radio City. My family (6 with 2 kids) loved the choice of restaurant! Will definitely go back!"

  • "We wanted a kid friendly place for lunch after seeing The Radio City Christmas Show. But we also wanted something nice for the adults. This restaurant was a perfect choice. Good selections for all of us, good service, and we never felt rushed. We would definitely come again!"

  • "The pasta was slightly under cooked, but the sauce was good. The pizza was also OK. I didn't get much of an italian vibe in the restaurant with all the french posters on the walls, but I still liked the ambiance. Pros, the localisation if you are going to a Broadway show is undeniably very convenient and the service was good and efficient. Overall, I won't go again because I'm sure I can find better Italian food in NYC."

  • "What a pleasant surprise! We were a party of 10 and the way the manager treated the staff and the service treated the customers was excellent! We were a group of 10 Italians from Jersey with children and we can't wait to go back! The sauce had amazing flavor, the raviolis were like clouds of goodness! The only negative was do not order the appetizer Clams Oreganata. Unfortunately the breading was not done right and the server was kind enough to offer to have it removed from the bill after he noticed I didn't eat it the appetizer. I have already recommended this restaurant."

  • "Interesting large space (needs paint color upgrade). Heaping dishes of predictable pasta and other entrées suitable for the whole family. The service was prompt and friendly."

  • "Food was very good. Service was a bit unorganized as they brought my wife's dish at least 10 minutes before bringing mine and before we were done with appetizers. Overall the experience was good and I would return to try other menu items. I would also like to know how to order some of the great looking and smelling breads visible as you come into the place. I could not find them on the menu provided in the restaurant."

  • "There were 9 of us. Ranging in age 18 to 50+. The dinning room was spacious and as a big group we were tucked away so we did not seem to be disturbing the other guests. Everyone found something without any fuss. The host, the servers and the bus boys could not have been more friendly. We reserved on line and we received several friendly reminders before our trip. The selections were plentiful and varied. Everyone had a different dish. All were more than generous portions and there were zero complaints. Oh...did I mention we were an all girl group and some of us can be very fussy. The prices too ranged from reasonable too erase for New York City. We do not get to the city often but when we do, we will return!"

  • "Looking for a restaurant in the theatre district this is a great one. Great location for Radio City Music Hall or top of the theatre district. Fast and friendly service. Can accommodate medium sized groups. Reasonably priced. Food was excellent. Would highly reccommend it to anyone."

  • "I was looking for an Italian restaurant with a diverse menu that was kid friendly. This was it. The menu had a wide variety - salads, pasta, pizza and entrees. The food was closer to a 3.5, but I really enjoyed their caprese salad and the chicken francese was tasty. The bread was great. It's an open restaurant. While there weren't a lot of kids, the place was loud enough that no one minded our group and the waiters were very attentive. They didn't cater to kids, per se, but were accommodative and friendly. It was a tad touristy, but it was just what we needed and the entire staff was warm and friendly. I would go back."

  • "We were looking for a family friendly Italian restaurant near Times Square that could accommodate our group of 16 on the night before the NYC marathon (a tall order). This restaurant hit the spot. We were seated comfortably and treated wonderfully by the staff. The staff was willing to bend over backwards to accommodate the special needs of my daughter who has numerous food allergies. The food was delicious."

  • "It was fine for a quick bite before the theater. Nothing special, but solid in its quality of food and prices. The waiters seemed to have trouble understanding us when we made requests. Since they were heavily accented, I can only imagine that it may have been a language barrier. I had noted on my Open Table reservation that this was a birthday dinner, but no one seemed to notice. In fact, we were not even asked if we had a reservation when we arrived. I would go back for a casual dinner. Extremely close to tho the Eugene O'Neill Theater. Very convenient."
