Pasta FreskaIt was so much fun to sitIt was so much fun to sit and just be served, one fantastic course after another. The chef had an uncanny ability to select the perfect food and wine, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. I can't wait to go back, and my sister definitely enjoyed her birthday surprise!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious SurprisesWhat a fun idea--to be served small bites of many delicious foods, that were created by the chef and prepared from what is fresh that day. The meal addressed our hunger and our sense of adventure, and we thought the price was reasonable for such a creative and varied meal.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMhad ta cancel this reservationhad ta cancel this reservation but had eaten there ths previous week. food was great. pricing structure was not explained prior to service. would have liked to know before the meal and would have liked to order from a wine list. i will go back . making and breaking the reservation was easy.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMA refreshing approach to dining!A refreshing approach to dining! They use the use of freshest simple ingredients and bring them together in culinary, non-pretentious perfection.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMostly wonderfulI enjoy Pasta Freska very much. It's always an experience dining there. The sauce was a bit to spicy for my 10 year old granddaughter so she didn't care for her dinner much, which was really disappointing. They may want to consider children a bit more when it comes to option of spiciness. Last time a different granddaughter LOVED everything about her meal. I guess that's the danger of a unique place that has no menu. I enjoyed my dinner very much and the owner made sure my vegan diet was honored.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was awesome but don'tThe food was awesome but don't expect to order anything. Just tell him what you don't like and enjoy!!!!!!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMLove this place and Chef MikeLove this place and Chef Mike Horri's attention to his guests.
I've been a dozen or so times, usually with out of town business guests, and it never fails to be a hit. it's relaxed without being noisy, it's sophisticated (with it's 'no menu' style) without being snobby. On every visit, everyone has enjoyed themselves.
If you're looking for upscale, trendy, this isn't the place. But if you want a quality meal, an interesting dining experience, and careful attention, definitely give this place a try.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThe setting is very dimlyThe setting is very dimly lit with candles on each table, so it seemed casual/romantic. The service was good: the chef would go around asking everyone at each table if they didn't eat anything, controlled amounts of food came around every so often so everyone would mostly be eating the same menu unless preferred otherwise, and plates were changed after every two or three courses. The food was delicious, the mussels had a delicious accompanying sauce, the serving of salmon was well-cooked. The dessert was not so pleasant as it was a plate of a variety of cakes that were very heavy with flavor and sugar and didn't go well together, let alone with the rum-infused ice cream on the side. The salad, spaghetti, and steak were not so memorable.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMBest ItalianThe food was excellent and the service was even better. I enjoyed eating and not knowing what was coming next. Thankyoufor a very lovely evening we will surely come back and recommend it to our friends. 17 years in service lets make it 17 more !!!!
Oh and by far the best Italian food in the Seattle area.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMI love the concept of thisI love the concept of this restaurant. There is no menu. The chef comes out to your table and chats with you about what you do and do not like. Then you are served some amazing food. :-)3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a Livingsocial couponWe had a Livingsocial coupon for a 7 course dinner for two and it was a great deal! We were in for a pleasant surprise! It was cozy and the energy was vibrant. The courses came in random order except for dessert at the end and the al a cartes were all off the hook and were as spontaneous as the chef himself. We had great interaction with the staff and really look forward to returning when we go to Seattle again!3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMEat here!Best restaurant in Seattle. Mike , the owner, makes you feel like family!3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful, fun, relaxing adventure. We've been there twice now and there was very little repetition from our first experience. The food is amazing! I'm not generally a big mussel fan but I could have eaten a bucket of the mussels. The sauces are superb. Eggplant parmesan outstanding. There are no menus which adds to the adventure as you don't know what you are getting and are not always sure what you just ate! (You can always ask -- after you try it!) It's a nice change of pace to walk in, sit down and be served without having to make any menu decisions. Some food feeds the body. Some food feeds the soul. Pasta Freska definitely falls into the latter category.3/8/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good place to eat. TheVery good place to eat. The food had excellent temperature. Service was excellent.3/2/2013 12:00:00 AMThis restaurant has a definiteThis restaurant has a definite Wow factor, and everyone who works there goes out of their way to make sure that the customer is happy. The food is plentiful and good, and the presentation is a lot of fun. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly. This is not a place for a quick bite, but it is the place to go for a treat. But make sure you're hungry when you go.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
