El restaurante Passionfish ofrece una experiencia culinaria californiana única con comida y vino auténticos en un ambiente divertido e informal. El menú, siempre diferente, cuenta con el marisco de pesca sostenible más fresco, carne cocinada a fuego lento, verduras ecológicas y postres deliciosos, todo ello acompañado por una carta de vinos galardonada con precios casi de venta al detalle, muy por debajo de lo que cabría esperar. Passionfish está gestionado por el chef Ted Walter y su esposa Cindy Walter, que son sus propietarios. Son arduos defensores de la educación en la pesca sostenible y el suyo fue el primer restaurante con el certificado oficial 'Green' (verde) del condado de Monterrey.

Eclectic food choices and very accommodating with adjustments for allergies. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the Brussel sprouts were bright green and had yummy ham mixed in. The mixed greens salad was really good. The albacore had a nice sear. Get the biscuits!!!. And the mint coffee ice cream covered in chocolate. Great food without the tourists. Would definitely go back again when in the area.

The appetizers and dessert were delicious. The wild rice served with the Trout was very bland. The lamb chop entree was done very well with the sauce. I was surprised that they were out of the wine we selected and was very surprised that a really nice place(ie expensive) was charging 3% for a credit card transaction.

My wife & I were super excited to try Passionfish, and overall we really enjoyed ourselves. The reason I dropped 1-Star for the food itself was it seemed like this particular Sunday they might have run out of some key ingredients from the menu descriptions (e.g. Labneh and Charmoula) and added pickled onions (which were tasty, but not in the menu description) instead. Our scallop over risotto cake starter was spot on, but both our rainbow trout dish & roasted veggie tagine were missing the key advertised ingredient that made the dishes interesting to us! Fortunately the brilliantly executed banana bread pudding (with housemade banana ice cream) ended our evening on the highest note! We definitely will visit Passionfish again next time we travel up to the Monterey Bay area, because the Service was awesome and the vibe was extremely welcoming!

My recent visit to Passion Fish was an absolutely delightful experience, especially as we were celebrating our anniversary. From the moment we stepped in, the special touches began. The host welcomed us warmly with a "Happy Anniversary" and then thoughtfully seated us in a quiet, romantic corner, away from the more bustling areas. The restaurant's ambiance itself was noteworthy, with all seating elegantly spaced out, creating a serene, warm, and welcoming atmosphere. Our server was equally friendly, extending their anniversary wishes, and these small details truly made us feel cherished. Even the special menu had a "Happy Anniversary" greeting, which was a lovely surprise. The food at Passion Fish was nothing short of incredible, with each dish clearly prepared with immense care and skill. We started by sharing the calamari appetizer, which was simply sublime. It was unlike any calamari I've had before, elevated to a different level, served on a bed of slightly spicy lemony arugula that added a fantastic zing. We also shared a perfectly prepared beet salad. My husband indulged in the biscuit with butter, which he found incredibly tasty. For our main courses, he thoroughly enjoyed his halibut, and my lamb was equally fantastic. To complement our meal, the appetizer and salad were perfectly paired with their "bubbly," and my lamb was expertly matched with a Spanish wine. Even after such a satisfying meal, we managed to make room for two delectable desserts: the bread pudding and the chocolate torte. Passion Fish truly offers a memorable dining experience, where exceptional service and thoughtful details combine with truly outstanding food to create a perfect evening. I highly recommend it for any special occasion or simply for a wonderfully prepared meal. I only regret that we have not been to Passion Fish before as we are locals and tend to head to Carmel. We are going to pay a bit more attention to the nice restaurants in Pacific Grove, we cannot wait to return!

Passion Fish is a wonderful restaurant. It caters to both seafood and meat eaters. The wine is fairly priced (and excellent!) And the service is friendly and professional. It is not a " fancy" restaurant, but we love it for special occasions because of the great menu and good food.

Meals were well prepared seasoned perfect. Many restaurants use way too much salt.. not her. The calimari appetizer set the tone… perfect cooked not breaded light flour with a wondeful sauce . Scallops were prepared perfect and the wine list was wide ranging and not overpriced. If in Paciific Grove and you like well prepared seafood. This is the place. One could have an actual conversation over dinner . waitstaff was informative about the option, attentive but not intrusive and did not rush guests. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants.

The food was very good, although appetizer/starter portions were very small. Entrées were expensive, but ample. The service was excellent, and the restaurant is comfortable.
