  • "My husband and I had been trying to get reservations for Passion8 for awhile but never made reservations early enough to get one during prime dinner hour (6-7pm). We were lucky to get one only a week ahead of the date, but have had difficulty finding an available reservation several weeks ahead at times. So definitely plan ahead. It was well worth the wait. The food was delicious. Our server was very attentive but not smothering. Our only complaint was the noise level was very high which made it hard to hear each other at times."

Amazing daily menus and a well informed staff makes for a real treat as you can never be steered wrong in choosing a meal that right for you. The pork chop cooked to medium perfection was amazingly satisfying and the scallops were cooked and seasoned well. I expected a great meal and they did not fail."

  • "We heard of this place from our real estate agent who recommended it for special occasions (read: expensive) We went for our Valentine's Day celebration and were very pleaed with the entire experience. Great, ever-changing menu with lots of European touches (eg, fois gras, sweetbreads, etc.). They are allegedly moving to a new location in uptown Charlotte this spring so recommend getting to the Fort Mill location before they move out of town."

Unfortunately I found that menu and creativity has stalled a bit, in my opinion. Food was still good but I was not wowed like earlier times."

  • "Went here during Queen's Feast. I believe the point for restaurants should be to offer food that will bring people back and I think they succeeded. Didn't have the beef cheek as listed but short rib was still great. Portions could be considered small but if you aren't used to 3 courses , were perfect for not feeling stuffed. Great flavors, presentation and unique concepts. A great place outside of uptown for high-end cuisine with a romantic/quaint setting."

  • "The food was exceptional, from first course through dessert. However, it took 3 times to get a martini right. First time it tasted like they used sweet vermouth, sent it back - Second time they said they ran out of dry varmouth - it was straight gin wih an olive. Then they came back with a third drink -" We found the dry vermouth, it was misplaced" Need to get their bar straightened out. The place is VERY noisey! Hard to carry on a conversation. Also on a cold night I would not recomend sitting near the door. The door opens directly into the dining area."

  • "I surprised my boyfriend with a reservation for our 1 year anniversary (ladies can orchestrate special occasion celebrations too!) am we absolutely LOVED it. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive- she even included a little surprise for us since I had given them the heads up about our special occasion. The atmosphere is inviting and intimate- love the low lights and deep warm colors. Whether you want to catch up with a dear friend or enjoy date night, this is your spot. The food was phenomenal and I love their commitment to "farm to table." Everything was fresh, hot, and mouthwateringly delicious!!! We had beef cheek and trout as our entrées... YUM. We will be back soon!!!"

  • "Even though the restaurant is small, the food quality and service knocked it out of the park! To start I had the "signature calamari" and then the 3 course for Queen-fest. I had the scallop dish as the appetizer, the Beef Cheek dish as the main course and chocolate dessert to finish the round, which all the 3 of the dishes were awesome! As a drink, I had a signature "fresh pineapple" martini, which was off the chain, as well. The only down side to the entire experience was it was a little tight and noisy (probably more than normal because of Queen fest). However, I definitely would will go back and would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something different and who enjoys different dishes using high quality foods!"

We were there for the Queen's Feast and the restaurant lived up to every thing I had heard about it. I had the trout and my fife had the chicken. Both were excellent. We will definitely go back and try the regular menu."

  • "Passion8 is one of our very favorite restaurants. The food is wonderful, different and delish! I get so tired of eating the same dishes so Passion 8 always has something original. I enjoy knowing that they source the food from local farmers. We enjoy the origina cocktails and wine too. The only critique i have and it happened two different times I was there was taking my cocktail away before I finished it. But the service is always friendly and professional. I am sad that they will be moving to Elizabeth as it will mean not being able to go as often and I hope the quality and comfortableness won't change."

  • "Damn it, how does this place just get better with each menu like it does? We just happened to dine two days after the new menu came out, talk about timing. Chef Luca, Matt, and Evan have do it again. I hope people do not fear some of the items not often seen in CLT. Order every app. The Monkfish liver was obscenely great, I felt sinful after eating it. The escargot was layers of complex goodness, skate (a fish I have always loved) place in ravioli was simple and great not to mention the rabbit trio. what a great way to have such good game. They seem to find regional cheese that are near what we have when in Europe and the fish preparations on our mains were inventive, yet not over powering to the delicate ocean taste."
