PascalouNeighborhood Gem!Pascalou has long been a neighborhood favorite, with a charming history and a casually elegant atmosphere that underplays its impressive credentials. The food, French at its core, well balanced and with a fine blend of other cuisines, never fails to please the eye and palate, . The location is perfect, the decor quaint yet witty, and the intimate space accommodates a lot of happy people.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMTheir food is always fabulousTheir food is always fabulous and so many choices!4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a very pleasant evening. We had a very pleasant evening. Three generations and we each enjoyed the food and ambiance. From the gracious welcome as we walked in to the relaxed atmosphere as we meandered through dinner, we felt unrushed and comfortable.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for a ladies lunch.Great for a ladies lunch. I was looking for a French restaurant in Upper ES. I've been there with my daughter and her husband and my son with his girlfriend (vegetarian). we all enjoyed very much the food, each plate was just great; the service was nice and all athmosphere was great. We definately will come again.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMdelightful sunday brunch ....gooddelightful sunday brunch ....good for museum visits and 92Y - great omelette and with salad!! maybe they should include coffee or tea PLUS starter drink ...3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time at this restaurant,First time at this restaurant, but it won't be our last! Really enjoyed the quaint atmosphere!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMI ate here for a brunch andI ate here for a brunch and a few weeks later for dinner. Both experiences were delightful.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMCarefully selected wine listCarefully selected wine list with unusual choices in a great range of prices; interesting menu with some unusual items such as sweetbreads and kidney. All four of the main courses chosen were delicious.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant is filled withThe restaurant is filled with interesting people and the Maitre'd is quite funny3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMA very intimate place bothA very intimate place both upstairs and down. You'll be dining with your neighbors. That being said, the food here picks you up and takes you away. Beginning with the pink grapefruit and feta salad (just the right combo of sweet, tart and salty) and moving on to the crispy roasted chicken (crispy outside and juicy inside) with truffle mashed potatoes and vegetables and then to the incredibly rich chocolate mousse my dinner was delicious. Every bite. Wine list is good and the price was very reasonable. I'm going back!3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMNeighborhood gemA very cozy restaurant in the french style (intimate and friendly, unassuming) with food that is a fusion of French and international influences. I brought two elderly friends to dinner here and we were given a quiet table upstairs where we could talk without straining to hear. The waitress was lovely, too.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMUnderstated + fabulous local bistroThis was perfect place for a quiet mid-afternoon Sunday brunch with a new friend. It's refreshing to find a quiet charming and understated neighborhood spot with an impressive menu and service to match. The service was efficient and friendly and didn't distract from our "getting to know you" conversation. I appreciated that no attempt was made to shoo us out when we lingered. We both had the egg-white white omelette with feta cheese, spinach and tomatos - wonderfully fluffy and tasty - and plenty of hearty coffee (they kept our cups topped off). The rest of the menu looks fantastic - including the Prix-Fixe brunch. I live nearby and will be returning soon.3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMMagnifique! Prix fixe isMagnifique! Prix fixe is delicious with many choices, all delicious. Charming, a bit of Paris on Madison Avenue2/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGood French foodConsistently good food. Seven of us from the Upper East Side, Upper West Side, Long Island and Forest Hills each had a great meal.2/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat little French restaurantWe got together with a couple very good friends of ours for Sunday brunch. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. The waiter offered us either a table at the ground floor or upstairs. we chose downstairs. The service was very good and attentive. The prix fixe brunch had enough choices for us. The food was very nicely done and well presented. they had a few desserts as part of the brunch. I had tiramisu and it was delicious.
We have been for dinner at this place before and it has always been very consistent with the quality of the food and the service.
We highly recommend this place.1/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAn old favoriteWe were a party of 7 for a friend's birthday and they did a great job.11/15/2012 12:00:00 AMHighly recommendFrom the moment we stepped in, we felt at home. The host's wicked sense of humor, the chef stopping by, the menu filled with choices to satisfy the most picky individual, everything was really great. We made a special request not to sit by the door so they placed us at a table above the others, it was really nice. From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was delicious. We all said we would go back for sure. Great prices for good wines!1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
