Was excited to try after reading reviews. However, this place fell far short of expectations. Overpriced for the quality and quantity of food. The french onion soup was disappointing and the autumn salad was good but tiny. It was served on a huge plate with the salad occupying a corner or the plate and the other 75% displaying nothing but honey. $17 for soup and salad that isn't even filling, no thanks.

I don't see how the space could be better laid out as the restaurant is a converted residential home. This means the bar spills into the dining area and can/did cause a noisy atmosphere when there are many bar patrons. And I would think the noise level is not so great as it was for us at the Friday night 7:30 busy timeframe. However, no level of noice could detract my husband nor I from the quality of the food. And considering they were two wait staff short, I was very surprised we still received excellent service and attention. We will be back to sample other menu items hopeful of the same outstanding quality.

Loved it. Had a great time; felt very welcomed. From the greeting at the sidewalk to the goodbye at the door after we dined, we enjoyed everything. Staff was friendly, smiley and knowledgeable. Chef came out to speak with us and found he and other staff members well informed about the food and wine preparation. Would definitely go again!

We dined at PoP on Sunday and it was excellent, from the appetizers to dessert. Delicious food, wonderful, helpful service. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and can't wait to return. The unique drinks before dinner were great. Our server was very helpful in answering questions and making suggestions.

Very good French inspired menu. Boeuf Bourguignon in a sherry based brown sauce, like it should be, with tender cuts of meat. Exceptional French Onion soup with great flavor, yet little salt. Delicious grilled pork chop over smashed potatoes with nice, interesting sides of cabbage and pickles. $15 corkage is very resonable, but the wine list is satisfactory. Exceptional service all around. Fine French find in Safety Harbor.

A modern update for French based food. Quaint neighborhood house made into a clean, fairly intimate, and exceptionally executed dining experience. Have had the pleasure of dining here several times and felt it would be doing the discerning dining public a great disservice not to share the overwhelmingly positive experience I have had while frequenting this restaurant. I will be back. Hopefully you will too.

We took my wife for her birthday after finding out about POP online. Quaint, remodeled home gives the restaurant a "Key West" feel. Has a great patio outdoors for cooler weather months. Service was top notch, they were always there when you needed something but we didn't feel like they were hovering. The food was the best part though; the four of us had different plates and appetizers ranging from steak to mussels to Amberjack. All the dishes were fantastic.

We really enjoyed the food and drink selection. They even had two selections of French beer which was surprising as I did not realize the French had beer. Would like to see a selection of French coffee though which they had none, but otherwise we will definitely be back. The service was wonderful too. I wish all restaurant staff were as attentive and friendly.

I want to give a good review but I can't. The bread was awful, the mussels where bland, the duck was pathetic. The salad was oily, and I like oil. I'm happy to pay for great food, but this place was overpriced, and disappointing. The service was just above average. I wanted to like this place, but it was really a dud.

No French Chef would serve food like what I had. French onion soup had no soup! The bread on top had sponged up all the broth! Taste mediocre. Nothing french about the Rib Eye. Beef Burgundy terrible. My husband overheard from nearby table, someone comment that the Creme Brûlée was dry; so we left without desert. Wine and cocktails were good. Staff was nice. Too bad poor cook.......

From start to finish, this place is top notch. Mandy was a fantastic server guiding us the entire time. Everything is prepared fresh and in house and you know they care about what they are doing (from the chef to the owner to all the staff). We felt like we were part of the inner circle and loved it! We had mussels (super fresh), charcuterie (even the pickles and jam are made in house--amazing), pork belly-delicious and plentiful, beef bourgogne (such rich flavors). The desserts were also top notch and we truly cannot wait to return. This is definitely an adult friendly environment where you will not be rushed. Worth the price, worth the time, we'll be back.

This restaurant does not serve "faux" French food, but the real thing. This chef really knows his stuff and all the dishes we have had here (we've been twice recently) have been outstanding. Try the duck and for dessert, be sure to have his "to die for" chocolate cake -- that must be one of the best we have ever tasted! The ambiance is lively and has a European feel, the staff is friendly and caring, the service fast. We have nothing but good to say about this restaurant and will most definitely be back.

Both times that I have taken friends to dinner the food and service was excellent. The servers were always engaging and very responsive to the needs of a wine enthusiast. Great place for a quiet high quality dinner.

My husband surprised me and took me the first time to this lovely restaurant for my birthday. We decided to bring our friends who live near the restaurant to introduce them to this restaurant. The restaurant definitely has a French feel to the decor and ambiance. The owner and wait staff are very attentive and let you linger. The food is French inspired but not traditional. However, everything we tried that evening was delicious. This restaurant is priced moderate to high for the Tampa Bay area. If you live in the area of Safety Harbor, you should definitely check this out. We live in Tampa and will be going back.

This was my first time, and I will be back. All courses were delicious, the service was good and it will be nice to dine on the front patio once the weather turns cooler. The memu has a small but varied selection. My friend and I both had the beet and goat cheese salad, which was quite large, and the pork chop entree. It was one of the best chops I've ever had, along with the creamiest polenta I've ever had. The chocolate tarte was also amazing - rich and creamy with an orange liquer in the crust. Highly recommend!

Enjoyed the feel of the converted old cottage with its dark wooden floors, white linens and ample table spacing. My wife's moules were the best she's ever tasted! My boef Bourgogne meat tasted dry and stringy with too strong bacon flavor. Salads were excellent! My wife ordered an inexpensive $6/glass wine, as is her norm. We were billed for $12 per glass wine. Upon inquiry, the waiter reported that he heard the name of and served the more expensive wine. The restaurant was willing to credit the difference, but we didn't take them up on their offer.

The Sunday brunch is extremely pleasing. The menu has choices for salad, soup, appetizer, crepe, omelette...The wait staff is attentive and casual simultaneously. The green salad is superb, just the right oil and vinegar combination. The summer salad and the venizen quiche aimed high but did not reach the peak, the first too liquid and the second requiring spice or vegetables to balance the meat and egg. Even so, it's a pleasure to eat here.

Warm reception from staff. Outstanding service; menu choices include traditional Parisian favorites such as Moules Frites, entrecôte du boef, also innovative touches with local foods; tradition with flair. I enjoyed whole deboned grilled trout with pink grapefruit segments instead of usual lemon. Desserts again included traditionals such as creme brûlée, as well as innovations as in blueberry bourbon cobbler which needs to become a tradition! The charming old Safety Harbor home of this place has a bit of a noise problem which we dismissed as others enjoying themselves as much as we did!

We found the perfect neighborhood restaurant, and happily it serves French bistro food. A house converted to a restaurant on a quiet street in Safety Harbor, is the perfect place to sit outside and enjoy the evening. With a well honed wait staff, very good food (try the mussels) and the lights from the neighboring houses, one feels at home, while being indulged. We saw so many items on the menu that peaked our interest, we will be going back.
