"This was my first time to the restaurant. I went with a group of friends. We liked the atmosphere and energy of the place, a great space. The food was very good, had a good variety, we all ordered the specals. The wait staff was friendly, he made suggestions on the menu. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to friends."

"Quite enjoyed the experience. Been meaning to try P&L for a while and it definitely met expectations.
Though it didnt blow my mind I'd be comfortable taking friends. Good time was had by all!

Service was pleasant and friendly although it took 60 minutes to serve 3 entrees and the restaurant was at about 50% capacity.
Points for serving the burger medium rare!

If I was in the neighborhood I'd absolutely go again but I live on the east side and I may or may not cross the city for another visit."

"After moving to the neighbourhood a few months ago, I have been systematically working my way through some of the more notable local restaurants. Parts & Labour was definitely on my radar. Glad I checked it out. The restaurant itself is interesting for its communal tables, novel interior design choices, and working wood burning stove in the waiting area. A friend and I started with dates stuffed with tellegio (sheep's milk) cheese and wrapped in bacon, called Devils on Horseback. Then we shared a KFC-inspired meal for two, a special that day: Fried chicken, creamed corn with ham, steamed baby potatoes, biscuits, with some hot sauce on the side. Food was very good. Service was prompt and helpful."

"The Parts fit; that is the food was good. We ordered Devils on Horseback, not knowing what they were - I won't ruin the surprise - suffice it to say that they were amusing and yummy.
My girl enjoyed the roast beef dinner - a juicy lump of meat nestled next to a cloud of mashed potato and decorated with cream cheese and chives. I'm not sure what was done to her carrots, but she absolutely loved them.
I made the poor choice with a very salty duck leg.
The Labour (a waitress from the 1950s and dudes in tight pants and checked shirts) gave friendly, low-key service.
They have huge banquet tables so we were somewhat in terror that someone might be seated next to us, but that didn't come to pass.
Enjoyable overall and the lighting is fun."

"Cool vibey space with towering servers who looked like a group of lumberjacks, flannel shirts, touques and all. My favourite was a new app which is corn dog made with house-made hotdogs and sauerkraut - yummy. Most excellent selection of cocktails. Worth a visit."
