They started us off with a blind wine tasting, testing our wine skills, and then served kobe beef sliders with red wine fries - delicious! Then, we capped off the experience with a delicious cheesecake with a salted caramel finish."

We don't usually drink white wines, but tasting the Sauvignon & Chardonnay wines with the dishes it was paired with, was an eye opener! Every dish with wine was so delicious, we just wanted more! My favorite was the lamb dish w/ the cab, just fabulous! Every course was fantastic, from the oysters to the delish "oatmeal" dessert! It was such a grand experience, we cannot wait to go back & take our friends!! The best thing too was being able to purchase a bottle of wine to take home & the Late Harvest Chardonnay is to die for! Kudos to the chef & fantastic employees who delivered excellent service & overall a fantastic experience for our first time visit.:-)"

Food: excellent combination of wine with each course of the meal, freshest ingredients, and perfect blend of textures, flavors, and even the right amount of salt! Service: servers knew everything about each item we inquired about from the menu, carefully described each wine, concisely explained the rationale for each pairing, and promptly tended to our needs. Ambience: clean, classy, and chic decor. Some kind of sound deadening material would be helpful, such as a few tapestries. DEFINITELY worth visiting on more than one occasion each quarter of the year!"

  • "a restaurant. Lunch was interesting and enjoyable. But the servings were meager in quantity so that one had to fill up on bread and french fries. In France, the dishes would be labeled as 'amuse gueule'. In Spain, they would be tapas. Partake is a nice place for a casual meeting place but not for a meal. It is not a restaurant in the strict sense of the word."

  • "Although Partake is designed around pairings, they got some off so far that we started to laugh. Some were spot on, as expected, but to have even one of five so ludicrously off is hard to imagine. In our case, it was a yoghurty dish called "oatmeal" with a bitter sweet young chardonnay. The clash made your mouth feel totally gross. My partner and I did the pairing at the same time, and we both looked up at each other with the same expression of shock and dismay."

  • "We had lunch at Partake with friends visiting from the East Coast. They are winery owners, looking for new ideas concerning winery event experience. They had visited and tasted at several wineries over the previous 3-4 days, from Monterey to the North Bay regions. Being an employee of Kendall Jackson, I suggested Partake for lunch to say good by. They commented several times on the excellence of the service and the knowledge of the young lady who took care of our needs. She explained each wine by varietal, region grown and described some of the terroir influence in the wines. The parings of wine to food were described by them as the Highlight of the Experience."

  • "This is definitely a foodie experience. K-J pairs wines they make in very small lots (200 cases or less) with small plates of food. While the small plate serving sizes could be larger (especially on the "garden" prix fixe selection), the balance and flavor of the dishes is incredible. Combine that with some very nice wines and a peaceful atmosphere and it makes for a lovely Wine Country experience. The pace is slow, so be sure to allow a couple of hours. You wouldn't want to rush through this type of food and wine pairing anyway."

  • "Kendall-Jackson has hit a homerun with Partake. This is a great wine-and-food experience. Chef Justin Wangler creates stunning small plates to compliment (and complement!) K-J's limited production wines. If you think of Kendall-Jackson as a supermarket wine, think again. Partake serves up K-J wines made in tiny lots available only at the winery--and Partake. You won't find better wines anywhere."

  • "I do understand it was Valentines Day, however, i felt incrediably RUSHED through what should have been a great dining experience. This is a resturant that pairs wine with food. I shouldn't have to chug my wine because i was told "we need you to be done at 8:00 we have another party coming in." I would like to go again on a non holiday. Perhaps i would have a more relaxed experience. The food and wine were wonderful!"

  • "My husband and I have been here twice and had a fantastic time each visit. The service is outstanding and the food is delicious. They have a wide variety of wines to taste and foods to pair if you are interested. We tried many different items but the pork buns, heirloom tomato risotto, and Kobe beef with butternut squash are a few of the standouts. It is really worth a visit."

If you like being a bit adventurous, definitely do the Bites instead of the Flights. You can get all the items off the Flights in the Bites, plus a few extra items which we found more to our taste than items listed in the Flights. The service was excellent, with our servers delivering items in a timely manner so we felt neither rushed nor waiting. They knew their wines well, giving us great information on each wine and how it would pair with each dish. There were even several dishes in which several of their wines paired well. I'd highly recommend."

  • "This is an excellent place to dine even if you don't drink wine. Their focus is on wine pairings, be it a chefs' prix fixe or small plates a la carte. We did both in our party of four and either way you go you will have outstanding food and wine, ( either a 2 oz or 5 oz pour). The presentation and pairings were well thought out and the food itself was creative and tasty. Our server knew his wines and clearly enjoyed his job, and paced everything very well."

  • "We live in Sonoma county and are pretty much snobs about our local restaurants. So many of them are overhyped. We had heard good things about Partake, but were dubious that a restaurant extension of a winery could really be super great. (We have a few winery restaurants that are very very good, but not super.) Are we thrilled to be wrong! Partake is absolutely in the top echelon. The room is open and light. Wide separation of tables make for a surprisingly small capacity - and a feeling of personal space. The staff is unobtrusively, pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable. The menu is entirely small plates each with a suggested list of three wines for accompaniment. We chose 6 pairings. Every item was truly special. $ = moderate."

  • "We didn't know exactly what to expect but thought it would be a "nice restaurant with good food and wine." What we found was an attractive restaurant with well thought out menu choices with terrific wine pairings. Some of us enjoyed the meat flight and others the vegetarian flight but all of us thoroughly enjoyed every bite and sip. The choices for each flight were original, delicious and attractively served. We were pleasantly surprised with each course and the wine pairings were outstanding. Overall, a very enjoyable lunch with friends in a newly found restaurant that we will visit again and again when we visit Healdsburg."

  • "Partake's idea of offering small plates with an appropriate wine is great! And offering a blind taste of wine at the outset was generous and classy. The plates were VERY small and the food, while quite good, should not be named something it is not. Bagna cauda is hot and a dip, not a cold drop on the plate. Coq au vin is really whole pieces of chicken, not little shreds. Call the food something else or have even slightly larger plates and offer the real thing. That said, the servers were great and we will return."

  • "I was really impressed by this restaurant. I knew the whole concept is to pair wine with food. Obviously I was expecting great quality of wine (which I got), what really surprised me was the GREAT inventive food! I tried the chef menu which is 5 courses for 45$ with the wine pairing (impressive price!). The menu a la carte is also great, you choose the wine and you can pick between 3-4 option for the food paring. I had a great experience and I was shocked by the bill! It was so cheap for a testing menu! I would highly recommend this restaurant! The interior design is very warm and modern at the same time, I loved everything about this experience!"

If you enjoy wine, and appreciate a quality dining experience, don't miss the chance to visit this gem. It exceeded my expectations like no other restaurant I can recall. The food is fantastic, the service is professional but friendly, the wines were perfect with every course. I fear there won't be a table for me next time I stop by."
