My husband and I have had some wonderful meals in the past and Partake is among the best! My husband usually doesn't like mushrooms, but he was fighting me for the miatake mushrooms. The food was all delicious from the heirloom tomato salad to the duck three ways. The wine parings were great, and it was interesting to taste the differences in the wine in relation to the food. I can't say enough about the service, it was outstanding. We will definitely go back on our next visit to CA. We also made sure to tell our west coast family and friends to treat themselves to a terrific experience.

We come to Healdsburg in the summer every year. We were hesitant to go to Partake because we thought it might be too commercial. We were wrong. The food was excellent, the wine pairing was wonderful. The tasting was 2 oz, but Earl slipped us an extra (hope I don'g get Earl in trouble) Earl was very knowledgeable and informative with the wine and food pairings. Justin, the chef, came out and spoke to us and even gave us his card, encouraged us to visit the KJ winery for the wine tasting. On the downside it was a little noisy and hard for us to hear, hope they can change that somehow.

We went to Partake for a light anniversary dinner and to taste some KJ wines. The room looks out to Healdsburg Avenue so you can see the people traffic in the quiet of the room. The service was excellent and helpful as there are many choices of both food and wine. We are locals so are quite familiar with many of the Sonoma County wineries. KJ has consistently good wines and many are in the more affordable price range. We are members of seven local wine clubs but after these tastings we made it eight. The food was very good and went well with our wine selections. I will definitely go back.

Each bite was just sensational. Service was friendly and attentive and the menu was very creative and expertly presented. Chicken wings and maitake mushrooms were among my favorite finds but each of the 10 or so small plates we sampled was delicious. Highly recommended for the wine pairings.

The wait staff is great, although I do think they are understaffed when the place is busy. When new patrons come, the servers have very long spiels to give regarding the various wines lined up to pair with food. They are all extremely knowledgeable but get so tied up with explaining things that us folks that have been there many times and know the drill end up waiting quite awhile to order. Once ordered, the food pops out quickly though. We do love the place, prefer when they aren't swamped of course, but we went at a busy time on a Saturday night, our bad!

We had a party of seven and dined in the tasting area - it was great, basically a private dining room! Service was great and they made ever effort to make sure that everyone got what they wanted. My wife and I did 2 tasting menus and they were terrific- great pairings and the food was fabulous. I would highly recommend Partake to anyone, especially a first time visitor to Wine Country.

My wife and I dined at Partake during our recent trip to Sonoma Valley and absolutely enjoyed it! We both chose the food and wine pairing. It was outstanding! Each of the wines chosen absolutely enhanced each food course. Moreover, our server, Earl, did an outstanding job in explaining each food and wine course while exhibiting a warm, personal demeanor. I would, without hesitation, recommend "Partake" for anyone looking for a marvelous food and wine experience that provides "value" in Healdsburg, California.

The noise in this restaurant is overwhelming. There was a fairly large group next to us having a normal, lively conversation, not loud or obnoxious at all, but it was so loud that my daughter and I had to lean in to hear each other talk. I don't know how a space can be made quieter, but they really need to work on that. The waiter even apologized for the noise level. The service was very good. The wait staff were all attentive and very pleasant. We picked five dishes to share with the wine pairings, which was a perfect amount of food for us. The lamb sliders and the beef were really exceptional. The calamari dish was not bad, but it's certainly nothing I would ever order again.

Awful... Healdsburg has much better food to offer at gems like Chalkboard and Bravas. This food was mediocre at best, and each serving came with copious amounts of horrible Kendall Jackson wine. We left several glasses of it untouched on the table when we left.

  • TASTING MENU - KENDALL JACKSON WINE

I booked this not realizing it was a quasi tasting room for Kendall Jackson wines. However, we were not disappointed. The food stood on its own, and paired very well with the KJ wines. One of our party ordered the cheese plate and the rest of us ordered the Chef's vegetarian tasting menu. Although items can be ordered a la carte, the Tasting Menus are the way to go. Overall, we had a very nice lunch and everyone was happy. This place is good for everyone from a casual diner up to a serious foodie.

Be prepared for unique dining/wine tasting experience. The concept is wine paired with small food plates. The food is delicious but it is not allowed to shine because it plays second fiddle to the wine. Great for a snack or a light lunch; not so great for dinner.

This is an outstanding restaurant! The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. You have no problem leaving wine choices to their recommendations. It is upscale but not stuffy. Any table you are at, you feel like you are the only ones in the restaurant. The staff makes it a very personal experience. Our favorites were the coriander brined chicken wings and the tempura Maitake Mushrooms!...oh, and then there was the red wine fries, the Tomato Risotto....and last but not least, the Kobe Sliders. We will be back!

I appreciated how different the menu is set up and liked that decisions were made for me. The mystery glass was a fun twist. The wines and pairings were great. The service great - not pretentious or snobby wine people, very friendly. We didn't have one server, but many including the manager who came by to check on us and ask us where we were from. And the price was right - $45 each and we were definitely sated with enough food and wine.

My husband & I were so impressed with the wine & food pairing. We don't usually drink white wines, but tasting the Sauvignon & Chardonnay wines with the dishes it was paired with, was an eye opener! Every dish with wine was so delicious, we just wanted more! My favorite was the lamb dish w/ the cab, just fabulous! Every course was fantastic, from the oysters to the delish "oatmeal" dessert! It was such a grand experience, we cannot wait to go back & take our friends!! The best thing too was being able to purchase a bottle of wine to take home & the Late Harvest Chardonnay is to die for! Kudos to the chef & fantastic employees who delivered excellent service & overall a fantastic experience for our first time visit.:-)

One of the BEST dining experiences I have ever had. Nothing short of Outstanding, overall. Food: excellent combination of wine with each course of the meal, freshest ingredients, and perfect blend of textures, flavors, and even the right amount of salt! Service: servers knew everything about each item we inquired about from the menu, carefully described each wine, concisely explained the rationale for each pairing, and promptly tended to our needs. Ambience: clean, classy, and chic decor. Some kind of sound deadening material would be helpful, such as a few tapestries. DEFINITELY worth visiting on more than one occasion each quarter of the year!

a restaurant. Lunch was interesting and enjoyable. But the servings were meager in quantity so that one had to fill up on bread and french fries. In France, the dishes would be labeled as 'amuse gueule'. In Spain, they would be tapas. Partake is a nice place for a casual meeting place but not for a meal. It is not a restaurant in the strict sense of the word.
