I was delighted to find the menu at Parma 8200 features an elegant approach to Italian offerings. I enjoyed a clam (perfectly cooked) linguine in simple olive oil and garlic with just a touch of dried red pepper. Unlike so many pasta dishes it didn't weigh heavily in my stomach and the spring green salad with an excellent vinaigrette was a perfect start. I also enjoyed my pear caiparhina (sp.) and the Great Tuscan wine was a welcome change from the usual Chiantis.
My friend had a Panini sandwich with grilled chicken which she devoured with joy. We finished with a wonderful butterscotch brulee.

Starting on the patio with drinks and appetizers and going inside after was a perfect idea.

A great pinot grigio at a reasonable $7.50 a glass was really nice too. Will keep coming back to the restaurant. The bar area had live jazz, great crowd, although the bartender seemed distracted and busy despite the fact that there were maybe 4 couples total sitting at the bar. The Benny Weinbeck Trio is a phenomenal association of top players who really enjoy their virtuosic, jazzy interplay. The food turned out to be memorable as well, and the cocktails were quite entertaining. The waiter was having an off night, but that didn't spoil a wonderful evening.
