PARMA 8200 is a moderately priced Italian eatery evoking the city of Parma, in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna famous for its architecture, countryside, dining, agriculture—whose artisan ingredients are a culinary staple used throughout Italy and features classic and traditional Italian dishes from all parts of the country.

The restaurant’s spectacular, foodie-friendly antipasti bar featuring salads, appetizers, Italian meats and cheeses, fresh fruits, vegetables and crudo—where diners can enjoy front row seating as Chefs prepare food. PARMA 8200 showcases Richard D’Amico’s signature interior and exterior design highlighted by a strong dark-wood design motif which is casually sophisticated and elegant – evocative of a martini bar you’d find in Milan or Rome and has a unique outdoor patio features dining, lounging and an outdoor pool table. Parma is located in the 8200 Tower, in the Normandale Lake Office Park in Bloomington, Minn.

  • "Usually I enjoy my Parma meals but tonight was a bit different. My salad had way too much red onion. I had to remove a lot of it. My dinner, a favorite, was still great. But my warm almond Frangipane crepe, was a disapointment. I remember the crepes from the original rest. in downtown Minnespolis, but this one was not the soft and wonderful crepe I remembered. It was hard and wasn’t as pleasing. I was dissapointed. But that was not enough to turn my opinion of Parma 8200, I still love it. It’s always my first choice."

  • "We heard good things about this restaurant and since it is so close to our home, we gave it a try. I made a reservation on Open Table and noted that it was a special occasion, my wife and my 17th wedding anniversary. From the minute we stepped up to the hostess stand, we were disappointed. The hostesses were not friendly (no smiles, no welcome), the table we were sat at was in a terrible location, lopsided, and our wine spilled on the table. The waitress was knowledgeable but too busy and not genuinely friendly. She recommended two main courses, which we ordered, both were mediocre. Worst of all - there was no acknowledgement of our anniversary - not one word, desert, or nice table. We frequent Caio Bella and will continue to do so."

  • "The service was amazing. I've worked at several restaurants and know how to spot an up-charge when they're dished out. I can honestly say our server was sincere when offering dishes and wines and was not just trying to increase the bill and thus his tip. The atmosphere was romantic and energetic without being stuffy or having absurd price points like other nice restaurants. The jazz band was very talented and played at just the right decibel level. Loud enough to easily hear, but I by no means had to intentionally speak louder for my fiance to hear what I was saying. Long story short, it's certainly worth a try."

  • "We visited Parma 8200 on a Friday night. As others have said - we did find it hard to find even after doing the research and reading reviews. Once there we were greeted and seated in a nice both in the rear of the restaurant. Our server Maggie was excellent. Right after ordering, it occurred to me that we were sitting next to an empty 12 top table. I wondered about it but figured it was a large group of adults. Boy was I wrong. Inbound from the front was 3 couples and 6 young kids. And what did they act like - go figure - kids. I gave Parma five stars for food and service - but I blame the breeders next to us for ruining a nice dining experience. Maggie even had to yell the dessert choices - it was too painful - we left early."

  • "My visit to Parma 8200 was great. The staff was friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. The food was excellent. We both ordered pasta. The taste was fantastic. Here's a positive that struck both my date and myself as odd. We loved the water. It tasted so pure and crisp. The only "negative" I have is the parking. Once you understand where to park, it's fine. It was very clear at first. You need to park in the ramp. I wish that was a little more clearly pointed out. That didn't ruin anything though."

  • "Our waiter was very skilled at connecting with us and making the evening special. He recommended a very nice bottle of wine and described items on the menu, but what made him stand out was that in a few short exchanges he demonstrated that he cared. I don't usually feel that way at the end of a nice meal. All the other usual attributes of a high end place we're there too, lots of professional wait staff, great wine and good food. We will be back."

  • "I hadn't been to Parma 8200 in awhile, & was happy to return. The restaurant was empty when we arrived at 6 on Monday, but filled up a bit by the time we left. There have been a few changes at Parma - the cheese-garlic bread has been replaced by a nice crusty bread with very silky butter. Unfortunately, the burrata is gone, too. With it's short shelf life, that's not entirely a surprise. Started with the apple salad--delicious, although heavily overdressed. Then delightful pasta. I had Bucatini Limone, a dish I've had many times. Good, but very sour. I'm not sure if it was the sauce or the capers, which were very intense and plentiful (perhaps too plentiful) in the dish. Bustterscotch Panna Cotta completed the meal. Yum. I will be back!"

  • "Went with a group of eight and had a great time. The food was delicious - especially the sea bass and the pork oso bucco. With one notable exception, the service was truly top notch. The one exception was that the waitress failed to put in the entrée order for one member of our party, so we had to wait (but only another five minutes) for that to arrive. When the check was presented, the missing order was not on the bill and the lady who was missing her entrée told the waitress about it. Instead of apologizing and declining to charge for it, the waitress added it to the bill - at full price. That's just not OK. While that didn't ruin an otherwise magnificent evening for us, it certainly is a great disappointment."

It disappointed on many levels, but when every person in your party is disappointed in their entree and you've ordered the special, pasta and entree type meals, you know you have a problem. Salads and desserts were good, not outstanding. The ambiance was dull, save for the strange lounge singing act. Would not spend my money to eat here ever again."

Service was somewhat negligent, with promised drink refills forgotten, and no spoons provided with after-dinner coffee. The coffee was luke-warm."

  • "I had family visiting from out of town and we chose Parma as the online menu looked good with nice variety. We were seated in a back room where there was only one other table. But...the other table had kids, noisy screaming kids. Should have known why there was no one else seated back there. I thought to ask to be moved but since it was getting late we thought they were finishing up. But they were just getting their food. The food we had was great, service was excellent. But I felt that a reservation with adults only should have been given a table with similar patrons."

  • "The night started out slowly as the waitress explained the menu and then comes back while we are still studying the menu. I order a glass of wine. We order. She forgot to bring out my wine and stupidly ask if I would like it now. My wife's pasta is not hot and my beef tenderloin is covered in some cheese (it was not mentioned in the menu) and mushy. It was the worst steak I eaten in many years. I was glad to leave and will never return."

  • "We ended up at Parma on a Saturday night sort of by accident. A snowstorm had left the roads snow-packed and icy. We intended to have dinner elsewhere and just go to Parma for an after dinner drink and music. But to minimize driving, we decided to spend the whole evening there. Good decision. The wine list offers many choices to suit personal preferences. At our table, we ended up with a bottle of white wine, a glass of chianti, and a glass of California Cabernet. The dinner menu offers a similar variety. You can choose a full-course Italian meal, with antipasti, salad, pasta primi, and entrée. We opted for salads and entrées. After dinner, we took the remaining wine into the bar and enjoyed the jazz trio for the rest of the evening."

  • "We had a nice dinner. We have dined here several times and taken friends here. There are three down sides to this restaurant: It is very cold if you sit on the edges of the restaurant--to the point I had to put my feet up under me. It gets to be noisy when fully booked, though pleasant when 60%. Each time we have a hard time finding something we really want to order. It takes us forever to find something to settle on. There's not anything on the menu that just jumps out and says 'That's it!'. Food is often too salty."
