PARMA 8200 is a moderately priced Italian eatery evoking the city of Parma, in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna famous for its architecture, countryside, dining, agriculture—whose artisan ingredients are a culinary staple used throughout Italy and features classic and traditional Italian dishes from all parts of the country.

The restaurant’s spectacular, foodie-friendly antipasti bar featuring salads, appetizers, Italian meats and cheeses, fresh fruits, vegetables and crudo—where diners can enjoy front row seating as Chefs prepare food. PARMA 8200 showcases Richard D’Amico’s signature interior and exterior design highlighted by a strong dark-wood design motif which is casually sophisticated and elegant – evocative of a martini bar you’d find in Milan or Rome and has a unique outdoor patio features dining, lounging and an outdoor pool table. Parma is located in the 8200 Tower, in the Normandale Lake Office Park in Bloomington, Minn.

Then the apple salad and finally the linguine and clams and the ravioli. All of the food was prepared perfectly, and the nice bottle of Arneis completed the meal. The staff was courteous and attentive and made us feel comfotable yet well taken care of. Another great time at parma."

Though water glasses were filled promptly, it took way too long (~15 minutes) to clear finished plates, when it was obvious that everyone had finished their meals. The risotto with the osso bucco was soupy and undefined. The jazz combo was excellent, and though their sound carried into the main dining area, it was not too intrusive."

Great service, nice atmosphere, and good food with a wide variety of options. We thought it a bit pricey but were still very pleased with our evening. We will go back again and have told others about it. It is off the beat and path and we were lucky to have found it."

(Not a comfortable place to eat.) Also someone must have spilled a glass of water as my feet had no where to go but in the rather large puddle."

  • "The lunch with a friend, enjoyed on the outdoor patio was delicious, well-timed and helpfully served. The server pointed out the daily lunch special, and also answered many questions about other menu items. My friend chose a lemony pasta that earned a "mmmm". I had a perfectly-prepared classic chicken parmesean that was a large portion (half got boxed and taken with me) Sliced bread appetizer - a small baguette - came before the meal and was refilled at our request to accompany our pastas. Water glasses were refilled promptly. The charming plant-filled patio is quite sunny, and we were fortunate to get the last shaded table. We did not feel rushed, had plenty of uninterupted conversation time, and still were done within an hour."

They used to have a $10 pick two type of lunch menu....but that option is no longer available. While they do still offer a daily lunch special, it consists of just one item.   • "Was intrigued by the menu chosen by Parma for Restaurant Week, which is typically an opportunity for restaurants to showcase their top dishes. The beef and polenta were very salty. My friend ordered the chicken parm and said the same thing. Our server said she would send her supervisor out to speak to us, but no one stopped by to discuss. I did not eat the polenta. It may have been a bad day. I understand, but I will not return for dinner. Prices were high and there are so many great restaurants in the SW metro that do merit my time and wallet. Parking is inconvenient."

  • "Dined here On July 12, and it was a beautiful evening on the patio. The food was generally very good; however, I ordered a small portion of the linguine with clams. I was a bit surprised when they brought me my food as the pasta in the dish was extremely skimpy even for a smaller portion. I could actually see the bottom of the plate in a few places, and the dish was very small. Pasta itself is reasonably cheap and should not be skimped on. The service was a little bit slower due to a large party that was seated elsewhere in the restaurant, but otherwise the server was pleasant. The amount of pasta for the price makes me less enthusiastic to go back again in the near future."
