Diner Reviews
  • "Very courteous, helpful, and attentive servers. The food made my taste buds dance...a tango."
    Dined on 7/26/2014
  • "Parma 8200 is the BEST restaurant to dine during restaurant week. We've been to most of the restaurants that participate and Parma has always stood out as the gold standard for food, wine and service. Not only do we always dine at Parma during restaurant week, but also we come at least once a month to enjoy the array of interesting foods Parma offers."

  • "Was intrigued by the menu chosen by Parma for Restaurant Week, which is typically an opportunity for restaurants to showcase their top dishes. The beef and polenta were very salty. My friend ordered the chicken parm and said the same thing. Our server said she would send her supervisor out to speak to us, but no one stopped by to discuss. I did not eat the polenta. It may have been a bad day. I understand, but I will not return for dinner. Prices were high and there are so many great restaurants in the SW metro that do merit my time and wallet. Parking is inconvenient."

  • "the watermelon salad and the Brassato was excellent."

  • "Had the pesto lunch special which included a salad. The salad was really good but the pasta was dry and bland. Fairly disappointing. The sandwiches my co-workers got looked pretty good so I would suggest getting those if you have to eat there."
    Dined on 7/24/2014
  • "Our group of 4 was disappointed with the food and service. Our waiter rushed us through our meal, bringing the salads at the same time as the main course without asking us what we preferred. We asked for bread twice before he brought it, also waited for refills on iced tea. The pasta and sandwiches we ordered were mediocre at best. I would not go back."

  • "I have not had great food in the past so now just order cocktails in the lounge. Love the lounge on Sat. nights with Benny at the piano. I have had over cooked shrimp. Too salty sea bass, too salty chicken. One of my favorites was the meatball sandwich which has been removed from the menu. The desserts are wonderful. I also enjoy the watermelon salad."

  • "Dined here On July 12, and it was a beautiful evening on the patio. The food was generally very good; however, I ordered a small portion of the linguine with clams. I was a bit surprised when they brought me my food as the pasta in the dish was extremely skimpy even for a smaller portion. I could actually see the bottom of the plate in a few places, and the dish was very small. Pasta itself is reasonably cheap and should not be skimped on. The service was a little bit slower due to a large party that was seated elsewhere in the restaurant, but otherwise the server was pleasant. The amount of pasta for the price makes me less enthusiastic to go back again in the near future."

  • "Once again, Parma was outstanding! We had guests in town from California and we wanted to bring them to dinner. They were very impressed. The patio dining area ranks near the top of my list. its a beautiful patio, no street noise, just very comfortable. It's the type place you can get all dressed up for or go pretty casual. We have also rented the private dining room for a special occasion and that was also great!"

  • "Lunch in the side room next to the patio was so loud I had to nearly shout to be heard, as we were placed next to a large table of 12. However, the gluten free lemon flavored pasta with capers and spinach was delicious. I'd go back just for that!"

  • "We did not know it was Sunday date night, but enjoyed a wonderful 3 course meal and a bottle wine for $50 a couple. Highly recommend"

  • "Food was very good as was the serice. The wine was excellent. for $ 50.00 it was a ery good deal. Will recommend to freinds."

  • "I often go out by myself and always feel very comfortable at Parma. I have always been given good service and the food selections are of enough variety to be interesting I particularly enjoy the Jazz music."
    Dined on 7/4/2014
  • "We had a very nice round table for the five of us in a quiet part of the restaurant. We started with a great salad. The entree was so salty most of us could not eat it. Never knew pasta could be salty. They did cover our bill but don't think we will be returning."

  • "Three friends gathered for lunch not having been here before. All said we'd return as food, drink, service and ambiance were wonderful! All of us frequent nicest restaurants in Twin Cities and this ranks with most of them, certainly near the top."
    Dined on 6/30/2014
  • "Noisy! Good above average. Diligent staff but we kept looking for our waiter. Allows large parties. Makes it difficult and not enjoyable by others. Loved the jazz group !"

  • "Came to hear the jazz on Friday night. First visit to the restaurant. Lovely, comfortable bar area . Nice, intimate place for music. Ordered drinks and dinner. Very creative cocktail menu. Everything looked delicious, but I ended choosing wine with my dinner. Bar menu or dinner menu available. We chose a couple of a pasta entrees, which come in 2 sizes, and shared a salad. The large pasta entrees are very large. A smaller one with an app or salad is perfect . Food was beautifully prepared, tasted very fresh and delicious.service was friendly, attentive and relaxed. Very enjoyable evening. Loved the singer (Arne Fogel) and jazz combo. Will definitely go back for more music and to try other menu items"

  • "My first visit was a pleasant experience at Parma. One quickly forgets the location is on the ground level of an office complex. Contemporary decor and relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent and left me looking forward to a return visit to try other menu items. Service was prompt and attentive."

  • "The food, the wine, the service - all impeccable. Who could ask for anything more?? We have celebrated anniversaries, birthdays, Mother's and Father's Days with you. Parma has become our new favorite restaurant. And we're coming again for restaurant week. Maybe sooner too!"

  • "Love Parma, great food, friendly staff--good wine--who could ask for anything more."
    Dined on 6/14/2014
  • "Our company hosts dinners for clients at least once a month, and Parma is a frequently requested favorite. Whether we have dinner for 4 or 10, the experiences there have been just awesome. The flavor of the foods, the variety of cocktails and wine, and the awesome dessert menu make this a great place for variety - something for everyone!"

  • "The beautiful planters and room-like arrangement make a relaxing patio setting for lunch. There's little/no shade, so I was glad I'd put on sunscreen and had my sunglasses. An updated lunch menu features a single entree daily special with choice of salad in place of last year's mix/match options. Neither of us wanted the featured lasagna. One chose a mis-named "chop salad" - all components large sliced and unmixed, so it was actually a delicious version of Cobb salad with creamy dressing. The other chose a generously-portioned turkey sandwich with house-made potato chips. Service was excellent and non-intrusive with offers of menu discussion, frequent beverage refills, confirmation of meal quality, and timely handling of check request."

  • "My wife and I went for date night and had never been here before. The menu looked fun and authentic italian. We tried some new fun things and everything was good. I wasn't blown away by anything, but everything was very good. The staff is awesome! Our waitress was very knowledgable about the menu and was very helpful in us making our decisions."

  • "Our waitress could not have been more helpful in describing dishes and based on her recommendations our lunch was outstanding. We were not rushed and had a long and enjoyable lunch at Parama's. Highly recommend."

  • "Service was slow. Too much time between courses. Liked the outdoor dining."
    Dined on 5/29/2014
  • "Parma's food is consistently good, but the lunch menu options have taken a turn for the worse. Gone are the calorie-conscious but delicious grilled chicken and fish options. Gone, too, is the versatile lunch option, previously offering a choice of appetizer and entrée. You can still choose among appetizers, but depending on the day, your entrée is fixed - e.g. a fried chicken sandwich IS the entrée for one day of the week. There is no day a vegetarian diner can choose the lunch special menu. This is as of 05/30/14. Slowly, like the delicious, once-signature, cheese bread, the lunch menu that made Parma special has bitten the dust."

  • "I like this restaurant and their attention to customer service. At the same time, please don't have 4 people come over at 4 different times to ask "how is everything." It was very disrruptive to our business lunch. "
    Dined on 5/27/2014
  • "Regularly go to Parma, because of its location we never have a problem just going and getting a table. Food is excellent and outdoor patio is very nice."
    Dined on 5/24/2014
  • "The food was great however the server never brought our side dish of asparagus, even after acknowledging it when I ordered. As it turned out, the rest of the dishes were terrific and filling so it was not missed and I never brought it up.That said, this type of mistake is not acceptable in this level of restaurant."

  • "We love the DATE Night opportunity this restaurant provides, it's the best deal in town! "
    Dined on 5/11/2014
  • "This restaurant is a true gem -- great food, service, decor and one of the more beautiful outdoor dining spots in the metro. The Sunday Date Night special is a steal at $50 per couple. "

  • "Another D'Amico date night. It used to be the date night was a GREAT deal. Seems they caught on and dropped the quality of the meals. The service however at 8200 was classy as usual. Everyone who came to the table was top notch. We struggle to understand how this completely out of the way, middle of nowhere, restaurant survives, but have concluded that it must be the staff."

  • "We've always enjoyed Sunday date night, great value, lovely surroundings and the staff are very attentive. We invited friends for the Mother's Day brunch, and it couldn't have been nicer. Tasty selection, thought the family style was just the way to go, champagne , the timing was perfect and we all went home full, but not stuffed, and exceptionally happy. Well done Parma!"

  • "Celebrated Mother's Day with Brunch at Parma 8200. Service was excellent from welcome at check-in through table side attention and concluding with a fresh rose for my wife and daughter. Menu selections were nicely put together and served family style. Only disappointment was the add-on charge for coffee on top of a higher cost per person price for Sunday Brunch. The restaurant was full, but service flowed very well and the ambiance encouraged great family conversations. Would definitely recommend for special occasion brunch. "

  • "Have been to Parma a few times for dinners or after work happy hours but this was the first time for brunch. The set and seated brunch menu was good, had a great table placement to enjoy Mother's Day with our two younger children, and our server was great...friendly, prompt and was very kind and engaging to our 7 and 9 year old. Will certainly look to Parma next time a special occasion comes up."
