Lunch was excellent the lobster club with garlic fries was delicious as well as the chicken sandwich. The creme brulee napolean was a great dessert too. Great service.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent all around....My mom, 2 sisters & I went for dinner. It was wonderful! food was excellent. The lobster crepe was to die for, yummy! We were taken to a corner table way in the back but had a view of the whole place. It was private yet open. It was a wonderful setting for us to just enjoy each others company. I can see this. What really started the evening for us was the integrity shown by the valets and the manager. My sister lost a very sentimental ring. Apparently it had fallen out of her lap when she left the car. She went outside to see if perhaps someone had found it. The valet turned it in to the mgr. When she found him, he was wearing it on his finger so as not to lose it. Integrity means more than anything & they showed it. The service was impeccable and eager to assist with menu choices. The main dining hall of the restaurant is well polished andd spacious (i.e., you do not feel like you are sitting on top of everyone as you do with many LA eateries). The food was very good, if not excellent, the highlight being the dessert course, where we selected a Banana's Foster that was particularly scrumptious. I ordered something special ahead of time and they knew exactly who I a was when I arrived and were already "on the ball" and it was made to PERFECTION- I am extremely picky and I have zero complaints. The only small thing is that some of the bread in the basket of goodies could have been warmed up - but that's the only thing I'd change- everything else fantastic. It was as great as I remember. Food was fantastic, atmosphere was moody and sophisticated, but not pretentious. Sam was our server and he was outstanding. Best service I have had in a long time. Apparently there were a few large parties which delayed our dinner, but he was super attentive and made sure we were taken care of and not left to feel forgotten. We were having such a nice time, that we didn't' even feel the delay. Amazing wine list, great recommendations!! My steak was superb and cooked exactly as I wanted. It's quiet, you can hear your companions without shouting but there's a nice hum about the room. I had requested a quiet table and shared that we both had birthdays. We were welcomed warmly and seated on their enclosed patio where there are just a few tables. Two birthday cards were placed with our menus. Our lunch was outstanding. Afterwards we were brought two candle-lit cupcakes and presented with sprigs of orchids.
