The food was fantastic and the service was excellent! We would come back in a heartbeat! Francesco was our waiter and he took care of our every need, sometimes before we even knew we needed it done! His food recommendations were wonderful and all the food was prepared to perfection. I can't wait to go back for again!

For a traveler like me good sevice almost is as important as the food. This place has a lot of history... If these walls could only talk. Food was a bit pricey but the preshow menu was perfect for me. Steak. Real anchovies on the Caesar and warm yeast rolls. Delicious but what I would expect for the price.

The parker house was old fashioned dining at its best. The dishes they are "known" for all lived up to expectation - Parker House rolls, clam chowder, Boston Cream Pie. My nephew was meeting us and had to be in and out quickly because he was in a play later -- I let them know that and they managed to get him in and out in the time allotted without making him or us feel rushed. The scallops were some of the best ever and the salmon and wild rice were perfectly prepared. The wait staff was friendly and professional and very attentive. We liked it so much we went back for breakfast the next morning. We chose to do the buffet - everything was fresh and delicious and a great assortment - for any taste and any age.

The restaurant is very nice with great seating as well as clean and professional. The food is exceptional. I had salmon, and it was cooked to perfection. The rolls were delicious as well as the boston cream pie. I would highly recommend this restaurant in Boston. The prices were better than some of the other restaurants in town.

We needed a place quiet, elegant, and attentive for my parents, who are elderly, to enjoy an evening catching up with their granddaughter, and the Omni Parker fit the bill perfectly. It was an early reservation, so it wasn't too crowded. Francesco, our waiter, was gracious and provided just the right level of recommendations. The food was excellent, and we were not rushed. The dining room is a wonderful old world, elegant setting that you forget is here when you spend all of your usual dining experiences in new, modern restaurants. I'm very happy we did this.

You can't beat the classic menu items that the Parker House is famous for. My boyfriend and I went for an early dinner before a BSO concert, and the wait staff did a good job of making sure we made it out in time for the show. Don't skip the rolls, they are soft and buttery and known even outside of Boston as Parker Rolls. The clam chowder was good, although not discernible from every other restaurant in the city. Don't miss the Scrod, its been on the menu for ages and you'll never think of ritz crackers the same way again :) For dessert, Boston Cream Pie. It's spongy yet moist, the cream has great subtle vanilla flavor and the perfect amount of chocolate ganache to round it all out. Great pick for old Boston.

Beautiful restaurant. Service was hit and miss which was strange since there were only 7 diners to 4 waiters. My waiter said he would be right back a few times and seemed to forget about us. When you pay that much money I expect more. Food was good but not seasoned well. If I'm adding salt at a restaurant know it's bad. Beautiful place with ok good and service. Not worth the price if you ask me.

This restaurant is a must. We dined here on our first night in Boston as we were staying in the Omni Parker Hotel. Dinner was amazing. From the wine list to the most succulent lobster, it was a true treat. The staff are friendly, attentive and aim to please. The clam chowder was the best I have ever had and the lobster was so tender and fresh that no butter was needed. If I had saved room for dessert I would have had the Boston Crème Pie but others around us did have it and said how wonderful it was. We will definitely dine here again!

It's rare that I write a poor review, but this experience merits it. We had a terrible brunch experience on 9/27/14 at Parker's. We had a Travelzoo voucher, and were excited to finally use it, but truthfully, I'm sorry I paid even the $35 for the experience we had. We ordered about three minutes after we sat down, as we were with our two children, and wanted to make sure the order was put in- their meals were simple-- pancakes, eggs, etc. Our meals were also easy breakfast entrees. The entire order arrived 1 hour and twenty minutes after sitting down. I tried to summon the manager, and he literally turned the other way. The server was apologetic about the delays, but seemingly could not do much about it. We will never return.

We made a reservation with the recent TravelZoo. The brunch itself was very good and the server was great, even though we had a TravelZoo (often times they are less attentive). The crab cakes were especially delicious. The room itself didn't have a lot of ambiance -- it was a bit noisy and the beautiful paintings were only visible on half the room. It was also fairly expensive considering that you weren't paying for park or sea views ($5.00 for a plain tea!). I'm not sure I would return without the TravelZoo as there are better places to brunch with better views.

In celebration of my parents visiting Boston, my husband and I took them to the Parker House Restaurant. The food was outstanding, the ambiance elegant and the service was superb. Our waiter regaled us with stories of the Parker House, including anecdotes about Malcolm X, Ho Chi Minh, Julia Chiles, JFK and others. My parents chose from the pre-Theatre menu, which offered a starter, an entree and a dessert for a reasonable price. Our meals consisted of New England Clam Chowder, French Onion Soup, Sweet Pea Ravioli, Sirloin Steak, Surf 'N Turf, Shrimp Cocktail, Boston Creme Pie and I had the adult Boston Creme Pie - a Martini. All were prepared beautifully; exactly as ordered. The interior is elegantly furnished carved wood. Lovely!

My wife and I went to Parker's Restaurant to celebrate our 1st Year Wedding Anniversary. The service was spectacular, from the maitre d' to the entire serving staff. It was a truly wonderful night. The entrees were absolutely delicious. We expected more from the desserts - the Key Lime did not offer any tastes of lime or graham cracker, while the Boston Cream Pie was more corn-bready and lacked any sort of cream what-so-ever. The hotel is gorgeous, the space is quiet and peaceful, the service is outstanding - so is the food...just don't save room for dessert.

Beautifully decorated dinning room. Server was okay, a little slow. Brought me the wrong salad. Portions were small but good. The cost was within the norm for Boston. It was not outragous like some places. It was a nice experience, but there are so many other places to dine at that I'd probably not return.

I purchased a $35. Travelzoo coupon entitling you to two brunches for the price of one. The food, service, decor and cordial staff were excellent. It was an additional $35. by the time the tax, tip & 2 Bloody Marys were added, so I'd recommend it for a special occasion. I can still smell those warm, delicious Parker House rolls.

I visited Boston a few years ago and have wanted to return and visit the Omni Parker House for dinner. It's a historic hotel and it's the home of the Boston Cream Pie -- how could I resist? Dinner was wonderful (tomato salad, sirloin with black peppered sauce, scalloped potatoes, asparagus, and the famous Parker House rolls) and the service was top-notch. My server said he has worked there for the past 15 years. He helped me select a delicious wine and he and other staff were very attentive. The Boston Cream Pie was very good but not what I expected. This was the original and what I've been eating all this time have been interpretations on the original. Nonetheless it was very flavorful and I truly enjoyed my meal and the ambience.

My wife's reason for going here was because they were the originators of the Boston Cream Pie. I'm not a dessert person, so I didn't try it. However, she said it was really good (but for those with nut allergies: the outside is crusted with almonds). I ordered the Surf & Turf for dinner. My fillet was cooked to perfection and my lobster tasted pretty good but was slightly over-cooked. My wife ordered the scrod. She said it tasted very good but was slightly under-cooked in the middle. The staff was very attentive and we had a very pleasant meal.

This was our first time at Parker's. The food and service was outstanding. We added the clam chowder to our meal and it was the best I have ever had! The crispy rock shrimp was amazing and my meal was just as incredible. The sirloin was cooked perfectly and the lyonnaise potatoes and asparagus were done nicely. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the Boston Cream Pie. To be fair, I am not a huge dessert person, so that was fine. It was a great find for restaurant week and I would definitely come back.

You can tell that this restaurant and hotel was once a beautiful place. It's sad, however, that now it feels like an outdated tourist trap that is barely keeping it together. Additionally, the Boston Cream Pie tasted like it was previously frozen. I will not be returning, nor will I be bringing out of town guests with me to visit.

Our experience at Parker's was sensational! It's so refreshing to spend time in a beautiful restaurant where service, food and atmosphere are clearly more valued than the latest "trends". This is a romantic room where you can actually have real conversations. Service was impeccable. The maitre'd Michael was gracious and welcoming. Our waitperson, Lillian was extraordinary; she was warm and attentive without hovering, and it obviously mattered to her that we have a special evening. Everything that we ordered was delicious, beautifully presented and completely without pretense. If you are looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or just dine in an atmosphere of grace and elegance, Parker's is the place to go!

Upon entering the elegant dining room, where countless notable celebrities, writers, and politicians have once dined, you are completely taken back to a glamorous time, as the breathtaking setting has not been altered. The breakfast buffet food was good, but could have used more variety for the price tag. I expected that we would receive fantastic service, but we had to constantly ask for something to be refilled or for simple items that should be given without question. I would go back again, perhaps just for their Boston Cream Pie, but other than that, I don't believe I would order a meal, given the service was lackluster for the incredible price that we ended up paying.

Our party of three arrived about ten minutes early for our 6:30 reservation but were able to get seated promptly as the restaurant was quiet at the time. Parker's offers a 3-course prix-fixe pre-theater dinner menu priced at $39 for reservations in the 5:30 - 6:30 time period, and we all ordered from that menu. There is a choice of four starters, four entrees, and three deserts. The food was plated nicely, cooked to perfection, plus the portions were not skimpy at all. The service was excellent. Overall, it was a very fine dining experience.

I chose this place for a date lunch with my husband, even though the reviews were just average. I decided that we'd go for the ambience of a nice restaurant that would hopefully allow us a long, leisurely lunch with menu options that are a bit out of the ordinary. The service was great, the noise level was a bit high (lots of women chatting loudly), and the food was okay. It looked beautiful, but it lacked flavor. Overall, the restaurant has beautiful woodwork and you can feel the history, but they should work harder to serve excellent food in order to attract more than just tourists wanting to check out the Boston Crème Pie.
