"The meal I was prepared to order from the menu online was no longer available. I'm a very finicky eater, so i like to know my meal ahead of time to avoid annoying the waiter. There was nothing else on the menu i was excited about. The crab cakes were just ok. The scallops were good and so was the NY strip steak. My companion complained the clam chowder was too creamy. i guess my overall review is that the restaurant was JUST ok...It was blah. Nothing stood out."

"Pre-theatre dinner special is a great deal. Three course meal for $36.00. The portions are very generous.

The restaurant definitely has that "old Boston" feel to it. It's not an extensive menu, but what they do, they do very well."

"The overall experience was OK. The service we had was great. Our waitress and everyone that we had contact with were very friendly and helpful. The food came out quicklu which was nice.

I had the oysters for an appetizer and really enjoyed them. For my meal I had the lobster risotto which was good, not great. My boyfriend had the filet, which was way under cooked. The potatoes that came with the meal were also not very good. The desserts were both pretty good.

So overall, great service, and alright food."

"This was our first trip to Boston and obviously there are a lot of restaurants to choose from and this was an outstanding choice. Everything was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience."

"Dined at the Parker House Sat. night. half of the room was set up for Sunday Easter brunch which was unappealing. The service was non-existant, server did not introduce herself or check back with us. Food was average, crab cakes were dry and looked like they were reheated one to many times. Limited wine selection."
