Bread was configured with tje skill of a sishi chef, and heirloom beet salad with walnuts and quinoa... so yum. Aesthetics pleasing to the eye and tastethrilled the palate. Atmosphere is a good mix of formal yet comfortable. The dining room was about half full despite our early dining time of 5:30. Service was efficient, friendly and respectful. Server knowledgable about wine list and I enjoyed his suggestions. We started with shrimp cocktail; 9 yr old daughter passed on the kid menu (regular selections) and went with lobster Mac & cheese (loved); 11 yr old son loved the swordfish; my husband and I had the pork chop and lampchops, respectfully. Everyone cleaned their plates! We had the semi-private room in the back with the round table and had 3 children with us under the age of 6 so this space is perfect for a more casual setting and the children really enjoyed their ability to move around while the grown ups ate and had some good conversation. The food was outstanding and we even saved room for dessert! You could actually taste New England in the clam chowder, lobster bisque and the halibut. The clam chowder was not over the top with cream but instead had a nice slightly creamy broth. The gentleman who waited on us was super nice, knowledgeable of the menu and had a perpetual smile that was contageous. Live piano made the environment high energy but not too noisy. The restaurant is more expansive and could be both family friendly and romantic depending on seating.

Answered all our questions, had great suggestions, and never rushed us. The food was amazing! The cedar planked salmon was cooked to perfection. My husband had the scallops which were wonderful and my mom had the pork chop which was also delicious. However, can I give Parker's 6 stars? Amazing! Service was impeccable; all the waiters were very professional and attentive. Food & drinks arrived so timely. Entrees were prepared wonderfully; absolutely delicious - from fabulous burgers to comfort foods turned spectacular (like short ribs) to delectable seafood (multiple types of fish uniquely prepared). The shrimp and lobster fritters were something special! I was already thinking of when I'll be coming back even before dinner was over. The wine list was great; offering good Italian wines and even black muscat (way to to go Parkers!). We started with a couple of appetizers. The crab cakes are delicious, full of large pieces of crab. And we had the shrimp....delicious! We followed with some salads, I especially like the salad with beets. My husband ordered the scallops, they were outstanding. They were perfectly cooked, and nice color and caramelization on them, and the flavor was wonderful. They were on a bed of butternut squash risotto that was excellent in flavor and preparation. I had the chicken. It was on a bed of mashed potatoes with some root vegetables. I don't know what brine and sauce they use, but it's unbelievably outstanding! A delicious meal!2/8/2013 12:00:00 AM
