Diner Reviews
  • "I always enjoy delicious fare offered by Park. Today I had the chef's special sushi/maki plate and it didn't disappoint."

  • "The food was delicious, very fresh and came out quickly. I was glad to see they offer desserts now. A neighborhood gem indeed."

  • "The Omakase never disappoints. A simple broth is intense in flavour. No one does fish, cooked or raw better than Park. Still my favourite in Montreal."

  • "My friend and I ordered the same thing but when it arrived, we were told the chef had substituted one of the orders because he thought we should try different things. Really?!? We were charged more than expected because the waiter omitted to tell us the price of the "chef's special" so we thought it was the same price as the seasonal maki dish on the menu. It was $10 more. So, after sharing a big salad, 16 maki rolls, sake and one glass of wine, out bill came to $179. It was "good" but for THAT price, I would have preferred something "fantastic"."

  • "My husband and I went to this restaurant for our 13th wedding anniversary and hate the best sushi ever! However, to my opinion, it is a bit overpriced but since it was for a special occasion, it was OK. Very happy we tried it, but don't think we will come back because of the price....but overall nice experience and will recommend this restaurant to others for special times only! Regards, Cg"

  • "I work in Westmount since 2001 and I have never found a spot I really enjoyed going to eat out for lunch. In my mind, Westmount was not really a destination for any food other than sandwich spots, which, as a teacher, I try to avoid. Not only am I excited that there is a sushi restaurant in Westmount, but I am excited that I can have great Korean dishes and I can have a bento box, and there is enough variety to really satisfy my Asian cravings when i get them."

  • "Went to park for my birthday and had the most fresh and creative food. Beautiful interior and excellent service. Otoro melted in my mouth. Very fresh sashimi. Salad had wonderful flavor. And dessert was yummy. Wish I lived closer I would go every week."

  • "We reserved a Saturday lunch after having seen the restaurant on Guide Resto Voir channel evasion. Everything looked fantastic, varied menu and reasonable lunch time prices. We were surprised when we arrived and the Saturday lunch menu consists of rice bowl, noodle bowl or BLT. The special was nice. My girlfriend had a cocktail, we had a small sake, 2 coffees, 1 special and one noodle bowl. Total, .... 112.00$ including taxes. A very expensive lunch indeed. Sorry, but for these prices and limited choices, we can't recommend this establishment to anyone."

  • "Most impressive waiters in the city ... break down your meal's prep and ingredients... and in doing so show lots of passion! Lots of fun"

  • "I came to this restaurant for a birthday dinner. It was my first time here. We ate the Asian salad and deconstructed salad for two. The flavours were very savory and there were elements of the deconstructed salad that were new to us. The salmon bibimbap was smokey flavour, the salmon was crispy on the outside and the texture on the inside was soft and plump. We enjoyed the different varieties of fresh fish that we cannot find here in Montreal. The staff were very friendly, sociable and explained all out dishes and the different a sauces to use with the variety of fish. I will definitely come back, the food is palatable and delicious."

  • "This was truly an amazing Experience! Top 50 restaurant in the world."

  • "Loved my brunch at Park. It was different and creative. They have some traditional brunch dishes with a twist - A Kim Chee BLT and their French toast with what I can guess is a maple/soy glaze. (apparently they don't always make the french toast but they should!) Heavenly. You can also usually get a sashimi dish-du-jour or the traditional Korean dish Bimbimbap. I will definitely go back. Also I recommend you visit their fine-foods store next door which also has delicious warm and cold take-out. in addition to their favorite fine-food products (marmalades, sauces, cheeses, drinks) coffee-bar, fresh sandwiches. Loved it."

  • "During our last visit at Park we ordered the tasting menu which was excellent, but it took 3 hours to get from the first dish of miso soup to the final desert. I know that long dinners are the norm in Montreal, but 3 hours for a meal was too much."

  • "Chef Antonio Park is an artist! From the spicy kimchi soup to the main course, it was an amazing experience. Complex flavors, rich textures, the fish was incredibly fresh. Service was very good although a bit distant. I highly recommend this restaurant, the sashimi is a must-try."

  • "Best sashimis I ever hat. Sushis are complexe and diferent. The service was exceptionnal. Thanks to your teamfor this great evening!"

  • "Lunch is affordable, make sure to reserve. A bit loud, service not as perfect as the food but worth it to try. Great sake and beer selection."

  • "My husband & I ate yet another absolutely delicious lunch at Park. I make a point of doing lunch here once a month as it is both affordable and at the top end of quality. My favourite is the Park lunch that starts with Miso soup followed by a long platter of 8-10 makis and 6 sushis of 3 different varieties of the freshest melt-in-your-mouth fish - always Antonio's choice. Definitely fills you without that I-ate-too-much feeling. The service is prompt - wait staff seem to appear only when you need them. since the restaurant is small, it is imperative that a reservation is made. Enjoy!"

  • "By far the best sushi in town - and one of Canada's best restaurants. You will love it."

  • "Great place to go with friends, the atmosphere is open but cozy, the food is NOT your run of the mill and the service is fast and friendly. We shared a sushi plate and an asian fusion "bol" and both were amazing! Will definitely return to try some of their other dishes."

  • "Food was amazing, service was great. I love the fact that Antonio Park himself is still always there to prepare the food."

  • "Service was excellent for the most part except for a busgirl in training that was absolutely dreadful. Some staff don't speak French, so -1 for that. The food was excellent, however sometimes the dishes were piled up even when the tastes didn't mesh together well (example: sweet garlic sauce with mushrooms and jalapenos on top delicate sushi rolls), but once "unpiled" were very good. Portions were huge, presentations spectacular. Ended up costing way too much, though, gotta be careful what you order."

  • "Healthy & delicious but huge problem with 2 doors all the tables near the front are subjected to freezing drafts."
    Dined on 1/24/2014
  • "Delicious, über fresh & creative sushi. The only downside is that all dishes, including sushi and sashimi, are the chef's choice only, so you need to be "adventurous.""

  • "We went for lunch, but we found it was very expensive for a lunch meal. We had two Park dejeuner, which is 10 makis and 6 nigiris. The meal was delicious, but we would have prefered to taste more kinds of makis, instead of 10 of the same flavor. Although they were very good. We had one drink and a beer and two deserts, which made the bill over 100$ including taxes and tip. If I returned to the Park, I would try the tasting menu for sure. All the plates we have seen on tables looked great and seems to be very good."

  • "Went to Park on Friday evening. We were concerned that the hype built up from friends and family could not be attained -but there was no reason to be concerned. It was amazing! Service in general was excellent. Our server, Allison was extremely helpful and the two assistant waiters were very attentive as well. We had oysters on the half shell, sashimi (amazingly fresh; melt in your mouth delicious -best in town) and the chef's special maki rolls (very creative and delicious).Presentation was exquisite. We will definitely be going back.."

  • "Park is probably the best sushi restaurant in Montreal. The chef is outstanding. If you can get a seat at the sushi bar go for it and ask the chef to make you something special. My only complaint are the waitresses, there a few there that just a bit too snooty for my liking."

  • "Outings on New Year's Eve always carry heightened expectations. We've never been disappointed at Park. How wonderful it feels when your high expectations are so easily exceeded. The sushi was incredibly fresh and diverse. The dishes were all tantalizing to the eyes as well as to the palate. Dessert was sublime and a delight for chocolate lovers. Service was so friendly, they always make you feel welcomed. Amazing culinary evening and perfect celebration onto the new year. Can't wait for our next meal there. Compliments to Antonio and his whole team!!! Best sushi in town!!!"

  • "After reading the great reviews of this restaurant, my expectations for an above average dinner was set especially since the set menu dinner was quite pricey. The fish for the sashimi was fresh and presented with some nice flavours. The lobster tail was bland. The dessert was poorly presented and it looked like the slice had been cut by a 2 year old and I noticed that the presentation of the dish changed for other patrons after a few had been served. When leaving we had to pick up our jackets. We were shown to the entrance where all our jackets were hanging and we were told to find our own jackets."

  • "We decided to ring in the new year in sushi nirvana and we weren't disappointed. The restaurant was packed, the staff was very gracious (and very generous with champagne and oysters) and the food was even better than the first time we went. A great experience all around, from the first sip of bubbly to Antonio Park himself helping us get out of the underground parking."

  • "The food is so fresh, so tasty, so original. Every piece of sushi is a discovery. The service could not be better, polite, funny and with very good advice. For the quality of the food, i do not find this restaurant pricey at all. I highly recommend it."

  • "Fantastic food. So original, fresh and tasty. Service was impeccable. The only negative note (but nothing to spoil the experience) is that we were seated next to one of the doors leading in the restaurant and it was so cold outside that each time a new customer came in, we shivered. But outside of that, we will be back for sure!!!"

  • "I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for a while now. The decor is very avant garde with clean lines. It was a bit cold inside since it was a particularly cold day. the music was eclectic; some was my taste, some was not. Once the place filled up, it was so loud one did not hear the music and had difficulty having an intimate conversation. We sat at the bar to be able to watch and chat with the sushi chefs. We both ordered the lunch special sushi plate. This means you get the chef's choice. I was thrilled with the selection; nothing too "out there" but wonderful, innovative combinations. We had to ask for more tea instead of them catching the open pot sign of more tea request. I would go back to try another variation."
