Diner Reviews
  • "It being a holiday weekend we really didn't know how busy the place would be - turns out really quiet! Not a problem for our group. Even if busy, I still think the atmosphere would be just lovely. Think rich leathers, dark paints and antique-y decor. Great playlist of classics and recent stuff. Eric Clapton, Bon Iver etc. But this a food review place so I'll park environment. Great brunch cocktails - the plum one was delish. For $3 get the grapefruit - just scrumptious. I then had the New England Bennie. Delish again. Would go again and recommend to all. We were happy with the last minute booking."

  • "Several things put us off with the restaurant. One, timing on serving courses. Our entrees came whilst still having our appetizers. The server STILL placed the dishes after being informed that we were not done yet with the first courses. And he even sounded annoyed. Second, staff we're hanging out in the corner chatting away like there were no guests in the dining room. It look very unprofessional. Third, staff looks like they have no clue about their job (proper serving etiquettes). Food was mediocre. I don't think I'll be coming back again."

  • "Our son always recommends different restaurants to try and we all found that the food, service and atmosphere was excellent! I had the Hake (which I have never tried before) it was cooked with smoked tomatoes, fresh vegetables and diced potatoes. Best meal I have had at a restaurant in a long time! Everyone tried something different and enjoyed theirs too. I would highly recommend this restaurant."

  • "You gave me zero points on opentable. We were there!"

  • "We've been to Park for dinner and drinks before and were never disappointed -- until this time. The redfish was overcooked and dry and the bulgar came cold. While I've had good experiences there before, my dining mate said she will never come back. :("

  • "I've always been very happy with the food at PARK. The fish is delicious and very reasonably priced."

  • "Nice Dinner spot, but my only contemplate is that it was a little bit way to noisy. Dinner was good, the Beat Salads are the best! We will return, but the noise level was a little to much for us"

  • "This is very good design at work. There are four different rooms, and all are well done, but my fave is the Den. Food is a bit inconsistent, but good enough. Perfect for a Harvard hangout."

  • "I had been meaning to try this place for a while, and was pretty disappointed. Probably won't be back for a while. Place was pretty empty but then they sat a group of three (dirty joke telling') old men next to me and my boyfriend, and they kept turning on the flashlight feature on their phones to look at the menu"

  • "Food was just okay but the drink menu was fun and the bar scene lively. Probably wouldn't go back for dinner but would certainly stop by for drinks and appetizers."

  • "Great food and affordable, service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place"

  • "Very tasty food at a reasonable price. Cozy feel like an old tavern, with dark wood ceilings. Bustling and noisy on a Saturday night. Good beer selection."

  • "Great food. Great service. I will defiantly be returning again!"

  • "Park would be a great place to meet with friends after work. The atmosphere is cozy with an old-fashioned feel, and the menu offers traditional dishes with a 21st-Century twist. Beer lovers note: they have a great list of craft brews and on Thursdays - a cask offering. We shared the Salt & Pepper shrimp appetizer, served with a nice cabbage slaw. The shrimp are not fried, as they would be elsewhere. The Clam Chowder, which I kept to myself, had also been tweaked above and beyond what you'd expect. It was not thick with flour, and that might have been pancetta, not bacon, in there. My Beef Brisket had that long, slow-cooked taste, and the white bean cassoulet was a perfect accompaniment. Meat Pie of the day, lamb burger, choices galore!"

  • "We ate here on Saturday night. It was a very lively bar / restaurant. We had a reservation, but had to wait about half an hour. They were very apologetic, and even took our appetizers off the bill. I think this restaurant would be better for drinks with friends, rather than a sit down dinner. Our food though, was terrific."

  • "food was ok. I had chicken with peas and potatoes. Prefer my veggies cooked and these were not fully cooked. Two desserts on the menu. I don't believe I've ever seen just two desserts on any menu. Noise was deafening and totally interfered with my experience. I will not be going back."

  • "Saturday night was my second visit to PARK. The first was a late lunch at the bar with friends. This time, a dinner date - one I was nervous and excited for - everything had to go well and it did! Our reservation was for 9pm. We met at 8pm to do drinks at the bar first. The place was packed, the energy was great...and there were no seats at the bar, but all was good. The bar staff was fast, friendly and attentive. We got beers and talked on the sidelines for a bit. Our table was ready 30 mins. early. (SCORE!) We split the Lobster and Crab Dip appetizer, then we each got the Slow Roasted Brisket for entrees. The app was unctuous and the brisket, fork tender. Fantastic meal! Great price. Energetic vibe and beautiful space! Total fan here!!"

  • "Dining at this bar is easy. They give you a discount on parking in "The garage" which is just on the other side of the restaurant in Harvard Square and your reservation will ensure you won't be waiting in the huge lines with the rest of the Harvard Square evening crowd. The pricing is reasonable and the food is excellent."

  • "I can't get enough of Park! The sweet potato and duck cakes are crazy delicious. Try the asparagus with romanesco and a Scotch egg on top. Heaven. Sip on the Fireside Poet and walk away happy."

  • "Had an early brunch for 3 this past Sunday. The food and service were fantastic. The restaurant was quiet, I assume due to the fact that we were on the earlier side but it made for a really nice experience. I would go back in a heartbeat. Bonus: they will validate parking for the garage above the building."

  • "Now that Upstairs is gone (and Chez Henri up the road), I was happy to find this place. The ambience is great - kind of upscale cozy (and very clean) Pub. If you want quiet, ask for the back room because the bar is very crowded and loud. The food is excellent - everything I've had here is really delicious. And the service is also wonderful Highly recommend."

  • "Definitely a bit crowded in the evening, but even when it was, the service was still very good. Solid beer list and good cocktails."

  • "Great ambiance, interesting decor and attention to detail, service was excellent as well. Only disappointment was in the duck confit hash with sweet potatoes and two eggs.interesting pairing and had read earlier review raving about dish, trouble was it was primarily cubed sweet potatoes with the eggs, with traces of duck. Did they run out of duck confit? A hash is more than some strands of duck that you can barely locate, key ingredient missing from dish. We did inform staff, but no one came out to discuss with us. M husband was happy with his dish and we liked the overall experience, just disappointed in my choice."

  • "I found this place during Dining Out Boston and was so very happy with my choice. The food is exquisite, the service is stellar. The cheese board brought in lieu of a bread or roll basket was a very pleasant surprise. You are approached at the proper time by the server, who is never pushy or ever present, and any suggestion feels like just that: a suggestion, not an upsell. The vibe in the place is upscale casual and fun. I truly enjoyed my time."

  • "I was here for Dine Out Boston. The menu had an option to had beer or wine pairings. We decided to go with the beer because we felt that beer pairings would be more of a challenge with the menu items and we were curious as to see how it worked out. Well, the food was fantastic and the beers held their own but didn't overwhelm the food we had. We had a grilled calamari and frisee salad and the chicken entree. The beer with the entree was fantastic and definitely improved the meal. I hope they continue to do similar menus with beer pairings in the future."

  • "This was my second time at Park. I came with my daughter for dinner before a show. Timing was perfect - we were seated right away and served quickly, but we weren't rushed at all. We were able to enjoy a cocktail, eat our multicourse dinner, pay our check, and get to the theater in plenty of time. The food was excellent - the crispy mussels with preserved lemon are unique, my lamb burger was delicious, my daughter loved her beef stew pie, and the flourless chocolate cake for dessert is beyond words. The service is impeccable - the servers are knowledgeable, efficient, pleasant and seem to enjoy their job, making for a happy vibe and very enjoyable evening. The portions are huge, so be prepared. Superb drinks menu."

  • "Went here with a coworker right after work and were seated right away. It definitely got a lot busier as we ate. We tried the tasting of toast, which was kind of fun but I don't think we would get it again. Wasn't much for the price. I had the Salt and Pepper Shrimp, which were definitely enough for a meal for me. Delicious and a bit spicy. She had the Crispy Mussels, which were very tasty but there were A LOT of them, and it got too monotonous. Would be better to share those among 3 or 4 people as the appetizer. I also had the Confit Duck Leg, but that was definitely too much food on top of the shrimp. Both were tasty but I was full post-shrimp. I think next time we would try the puffy furniture seating area instead of the pub."

  • "Went for restaurant week, it was very good. got to try everything on the menu because there was three of us! I had the hugest crush on my waiter Malcolm! He was so very nice and attentive. I really want to go back for a meat pie..with mushy peas!"

  • "We went as a group of 4 (two couples). When we arrived early there was no seating at the bar, but eventually two seats opened up. It was much louder at the bar area than the booth we sat in. The food was excellent, loved the cheese board. They have some vegetarian options, which is important for two of us. The drink selection was good. I would definitely go back and I would always make a reservation because they appear to get busy."

  • "This is a compliment. It's quite loud at 6:30 on a Wednesday, but by 8 it's settled down nicely. Fairly hearty winter food, menu choices my mother will eat but not too boring/old school for me, large-ish portions. Good wines still under $10. Service was very good, for Harvard Square (where it is generally terrible). The waiter looked like a lumberjack, but he knew his stuff. It's a pricey and ironical-hunting-lodge location for an after-work drink. (Innovative drinks, good appetizers, but pricey and the decor is... a leetle bit OTT.) For dinner, I liked it a lot better, actually! The booths/tables are much less festooned with plaid and mustaches. Not literally."
