Diner Reviews
  • "Saturday night was my second visit to PARK. The first was a late lunch at the bar with friends. This time, a dinner date - one I was nervous and excited for - everything had to go well and it did! Our reservation was for 9pm. We met at 8pm to do drinks at the bar first. The place was packed, the energy was great...and there were no seats at the bar, but all was good. The bar staff was fast, friendly and attentive. We got beers and talked on the sidelines for a bit. Our table was ready 30 mins. early. (SCORE!) We split the Lobster and Crab Dip appetizer, then we each got the Slow Roasted Brisket for entrees. The app was unctuous and the brisket, fork tender. Fantastic meal! Great price. Energetic vibe and beautiful space! Total fan here!!"

  • "Not bad, not great. Wish the food was a little better. Staff was very friendly. "

  • "Dining at this bar is easy. They give you a discount on parking in "The garage" which is just on the other side of the restaurant in Harvard Square and your reservation will ensure you won't be waiting in the huge lines with the rest of the Harvard Square evening crowd. The pricing is reasonable and the food is excellent."

  • "I can't get enough of Park! The sweet potato and duck cakes are crazy delicious. Try the asparagus with romanesco and a Scotch egg on top. Heaven. Sip on the Fireside Poet and walk away happy."

  • "Had an early brunch for 3 this past Sunday. The food and service were fantastic. The restaurant was quiet, I assume due to the fact that we were on the earlier side but it made for a really nice experience. I would go back in a heartbeat. Bonus: they will validate parking for the garage above the building."

  • "Now that Upstairs is gone (and Chez Henri up the road), I was happy to find this place. The ambience is great - kind of upscale cozy (and very clean) Pub. If you want quiet, ask for the back room because the bar is very crowded and loud. The food is excellent - everything I've had here is really delicious. And the service is also wonderful Highly recommend."

  • "Definitely a bit crowded in the evening, but even when it was, the service was still very good. Solid beer list and good cocktails."

  • "Great ambiance, interesting decor and attention to detail, service was excellent as well. Only disappointment was in the duck confit hash with sweet potatoes and two eggs.interesting pairing and had read earlier review raving about dish, trouble was it was primarily cubed sweet potatoes with the eggs, with traces of duck. Did they run out of duck confit? A hash is more than some strands of duck that you can barely locate, key ingredient missing from dish. We did inform staff, but no one came out to discuss with us. M husband was happy with his dish and we liked the overall experience, just disappointed in my choice."

  • "I found this place during Dining Out Boston and was so very happy with my choice. The food is exquisite, the service is stellar. The cheese board brought in lieu of a bread or roll basket was a very pleasant surprise. You are approached at the proper time by the server, who is never pushy or ever present, and any suggestion feels like just that: a suggestion, not an upsell. The vibe in the place is upscale casual and fun. I truly enjoyed my time."

  • "I was here for Dine Out Boston. The menu had an option to had beer or wine pairings. We decided to go with the beer because we felt that beer pairings would be more of a challenge with the menu items and we were curious as to see how it worked out. Well, the food was fantastic and the beers held their own but didn't overwhelm the food we had. We had a grilled calamari and frisee salad and the chicken entree. The beer with the entree was fantastic and definitely improved the meal. I hope they continue to do similar menus with beer pairings in the future."

  • "This was my second time at Park. I came with my daughter for dinner before a show. Timing was perfect - we were seated right away and served quickly, but we weren't rushed at all. We were able to enjoy a cocktail, eat our multicourse dinner, pay our check, and get to the theater in plenty of time. The food was excellent - the crispy mussels with preserved lemon are unique, my lamb burger was delicious, my daughter loved her beef stew pie, and the flourless chocolate cake for dessert is beyond words. The service is impeccable - the servers are knowledgeable, efficient, pleasant and seem to enjoy their job, making for a happy vibe and very enjoyable evening. The portions are huge, so be prepared. Superb drinks menu."

  • "Went here with a coworker right after work and were seated right away. It definitely got a lot busier as we ate. We tried the tasting of toast, which was kind of fun but I don't think we would get it again. Wasn't much for the price. I had the Salt and Pepper Shrimp, which were definitely enough for a meal for me. Delicious and a bit spicy. She had the Crispy Mussels, which were very tasty but there were A LOT of them, and it got too monotonous. Would be better to share those among 3 or 4 people as the appetizer. I also had the Confit Duck Leg, but that was definitely too much food on top of the shrimp. Both were tasty but I was full post-shrimp. I think next time we would try the puffy furniture seating area instead of the pub."

  • "Went for restaurant week, it was very good. got to try everything on the menu because there was three of us! I had the hugest crush on my waiter Malcolm! He was so very nice and attentive. I really want to go back for a meat pie..with mushy peas!"

  • "We went as a group of 4 (two couples). When we arrived early there was no seating at the bar, but eventually two seats opened up. It was much louder at the bar area than the booth we sat in. The food was excellent, loved the cheese board. They have some vegetarian options, which is important for two of us. The drink selection was good. I would definitely go back and I would always make a reservation because they appear to get busy."

  • "This is a compliment. It's quite loud at 6:30 on a Wednesday, but by 8 it's settled down nicely. Fairly hearty winter food, menu choices my mother will eat but not too boring/old school for me, large-ish portions. Good wines still under $10. Service was very good, for Harvard Square (where it is generally terrible). The waiter looked like a lumberjack, but he knew his stuff. It's a pricey and ironical-hunting-lodge location for an after-work drink. (Innovative drinks, good appetizers, but pricey and the decor is... a leetle bit OTT.) For dinner, I liked it a lot better, actually! The booths/tables are much less festooned with plaid and mustaches. Not literally."

  • "This was our first time at PARK and it won't be our last. We got there about 20 minutes before our reservation and enjoyed a drink at the bar, and our table was ready very close to our reservation time - impressive on a busy Friday night! Food was good, interesting without being fussy, and VERY affordable. Service was attentive and relaxed, did not rush us through, so refreshing. We don't go out often (3 kids at home) but this was a really fun evening out for my husband's birthday - thank you!"

  • "I feel like with brunch, some places can be a bit boring because they just serve the same items as everyone else. At the same time, everyone wants to have certain items for brunch. Then there's Park - they have a good mix of traditional items and yummy new creations, and they were able to give a new twist to old favorites (like pancakes). We had the crabcakes, duck confit, and the flapjacks (smaller, thicker pancakes). We were in brunch heaven!"

  • "A late morning arrival on 2/23/14 found the place uncrowded and quiet. We had a reservation, but it didn't seem that it was necessary. However, it did get busier in a relatively short time, though plenty of seating remained. We were seated in a smaller of their four rooms, with a fireplace adding to the pleasant ambiance. It was perfect for friends meeting to catch up and converse. The ample menu offered interesting selections both in food and beverages. The Park Platter, the Duck Confit and Sweet Potato Hash, and the Classic Omlette were all good. And there were several other choices that we'll try next visit."

  • "My wife and I came here for Valentine's Day because we were going to a nearby theater. We were really surprised. We were taken to a great table that was at the corner of a leather couch and the wait staff couldn't of been more attentive! The food and drinks were wonderful, cooked just right and the timing of everything was just so that we didn't worry about being late for our movie. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helped us with the menu. You need to go here!"

  • "The food was great, and the space is beautiful. We were very comfortable in low (but not too low!) leather armchairs around a small (but not too small!) round table. The bar area was energetic but certainly not too loud to talk comfortably. We will definitely be back."

  • "The food at PARK Restaurant in Cambridge is nothing short of phenomenal. It was so good in fact, we went back a few days later hoping to get lunch, but unfortunately they weren't open. PARK is definitely on my repeat list the next time I am in Boston. I highly recommend the Salt and Pepper Shrimp Appetizer... we seriously debated abandoning our entree choices and just ordering a couple more Salt and Pepper Shrimp!! My family also loved the Bar Steak, and the Roasted Half Chicken."

  • "Every bite at Park is a piece of heaven. Fried mussels, lobster and crab dip, lamb osso bucco, sweet potato bread pudding. I can't get enough! Mark Goldberg and Jesse Perrin are amazing. It's important to note the stellar service we received. Our server was passionate, knowledgeable, prompt and all together fantastic."

  • "Great tavern with fireplace. Very good food. Apps are better than entrees. Excellent cocktail and bourbon/rye selection"
    Dined on 2/17/2014
  • "Servings were large. Too bad they were just mediocre. Both our appetizer and main course were under cooked (raw, actually). Food was under seasoned and needed salt badly. The brussel sprouts were grainy, like they hadn't been washed properly."

  • "Only negative for me was the music, while very well-chosen, was a bit loud as a background for people trying to talk at brunch."
    Dined on 2/9/2014
  • "The server was excellent. The brisket was a bit too salty, and a bit dry, but the white bean side dish was awesome. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their dinner."

  • "I was very impressed by the restaurant as soon as I walked in. The service was excellent. Our server Katie was extremely knowledgable and friendly. The food was fantastic, especially the lamb burger. I would highly recommend Park to anyone looking for a reasonably priced restaurant with great food and a great atmosphere. Had such a great experience and I can't wait to come back!"

  • "I love coming here to drink after work. As far as food goes, I came here last year with my fiance's boss and a number of other people, and everyone remarked on the delicious pie of the day, the veggie burger, every meal was received with pleasant surprise. Something has happened. I bought 8 or 9 people here for my birthday, and while the appetizers and cocktails and excellent spirits remain, the food is sub-par. The same veggie burger was dry as plaster (several people ordered it, no one finished it), the shepherd's pie had no flavor or discernible spices, the "mushy peas" were nothing like mushy peas from the British Isles (which I assume was the target, or perhaps an inspired reinvention that failed). I'll still drink here."
