Ordered an excellent Caesar salad, which is served in a rather unusual way -- rather than croutons, it's topped with a square of bread with egg (still runny) in middle. Loved it. The not-up-to-par dish was the hamburger, which was rather small and overwhelmed by onions. Will continue to visit this restaurant but plan to select something other than hamburger next time. Our server was attentive and informed. The place itself is cool. It's dark and cavernous. Good for a hot summer day or a cold winter day. (Or anytime in between). The food was decent. We went for a small family dinner. There was something for everyone on the menu, vegetarians and not vegetarians. Noise was very quiet because we were there for an early Sunday dinner. However, the music they were playing was gerat- chill alt-folk. Blown away by the liquor list, particularly the bourbons and ryes, but the others were impressive, too. Food was very good. Salmon won raves and my game hen was done perfectly. My sons burger was particularly good on toast. Appetizers of lobster dip, bacon three ways (peppers were hot!), and frisée salad were also hits. I've probably walked past PARK several times and never noticed it was there until I found it on Yelp. The service is very good, from the hostess to the waiter. The menu is vegetarian friendly which is a huge plus and the food came out fast. They have a diverse drink menu and the layout provides intimate nooks for dining, however the noise level gets a bit loud and the lighting is very dim. Make reservations. The place is two blocks away from Harvard square, it is beautifully decorated, and caters to a nice and somewhat upscale crowd. They have an extensive beer list on draft and they greet you with a very good spread and crostinis. We ordered the crab and lobster dip as an appetizier, which was delicious, and after that I had the beef brisket, which was also great. My friend had the turkey sandwich, and he was really happy with the pick. Our server was good, and they offer complimentary still water. Admittedly, Dad can be pretty picky about his dining experiences--but he could not stop raving about his meal. In fact, he was so taken with the cider collard greens, he asked the waitress how they were made! In 24 years, I have never seen this happen. Delicious, straight-forward food, excellent and creative cocktails, and always a fun neighborhood vibe.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMBacon three waysThat review title should have caught your eye; it's one of their appetizers, and it's awesome. The food is delicious, but the portions aren't overpowered, the cocktails are wonderfully crafted & presented, the beer list is excellent, and the wine list is no slouch either. The bar is pretty happenin', so it can get a bit noisy, but not so badly that you can't hear each other.

The atmosphere was lovely and the wait staff catered to my every need. Also, the noise level was excellent. I could actually hear myself think. I ordered the Beef Brisket which while flavorful was a little too "fatty". The bean casserole as the side dish was dry and flat. I added salt but it didn't help. I ordered the spice cake for dessert which was also dry, saved only by some great vanilla ice cream. I had high hopes for this restaurant, especially since we need good moderately priced restaurants in Cambridge. The ambiance is great - really fun and energetic vibe. The service was a bit on the slow side, but the server was very accommodating and nice. They were busy, and it was a Saturday night at 8pm, but our reservation was ready when we arrived and we did not have to wait. The food had very good flavor, but we chose the fixed menu from the restaurant week offering and it came out warm, but not hot. Restaurant week is a great way to experience new places at a reasonable price, but I do get the sense that it is a bit of an assembly line in the kitchen as a result. The wait staff was friendly and very attentive, knowledgeable and patient enough to discuss the beer and cocktail offerings as well as some questions about the menu. The food was FANTASTIC! Each of our meals were cooked to perfection and non of us ordered anything too complicated: the veggie burger, the patty melt and a caesar salad with salmon. It was the best caesar salad with salmon that I've ever had, hands down.
