  • "I have nothing to complain about with the food, is was to DIE for, the atmosphere? You can't do better, endless mimosas? I had to request more orange juice haha it was great. However, I was FURIATED with the attitude of the wait staff towards my friend and I. I understand a nice restaurant is expensive, and when 2 younger girls come in - staff might not see a huge tip on the table. However, I am a huge tipperand gave the man 25% even though I wanted to give him 5%. Reason I didn't was the attitude he had was that he expected us to tip poor and so served us poorly, but I watned to prove him wrong. Zacory. I will make sure to request sitting outside next time, I spoke to some locals and they said that's where the good service is."

  • "I love the fact that the inside dining area feels as if it is outside with, all of the greenery coving the ceiling (but needs to cover more so that you don't see all of the leaves,etc.)mGalette was very good; Benedict had 2 eggs that were almost hard boiled and had to be sent back; chicken/waffles good,but didn't know chicken would be tenders. Mimosas good, BUT they can't call thier sparkling wine champagne (not from France) If Bloody Mary is unlimited, don't charge for refills w/o saying. if advertisement says choice of vodka for the price, don't then say it is a particular type of vodka. I brought these to the server's attention, and while she understood and was gracious, this to me is false advertising and I would not return. Principle"

It was our first time there and our server wasn't very familiar or helpful with suggestions and favorite items on the menu. I wish the cocktail menu had better choices but the food menu is absolutely amazing."

  • "I had dined at this restaurant back in the day when it was the classiest restaurant in Winter Park. I took my wife there recently hoping to at least have some great food and service. Sadly, at present the restaurant is not even a ghost of its former self. The waitstaff tried really hard to cover the details, but to no avail. The food coming out of the kitchen and its presentation was mediocre at best. Perhaps it had just reopened with new chefs, waitstaff and management, I really don't know, but they all thought they were doing wonderfully well. They were not. We wish them well, but my wife and I will likely not be returning."

  • "This place has it all. The front of the restaurant has a pretty popular and busy bar. We started with a drink there before our reservation. After our drink we go to the back where the dining area is, completely different. The dining area is elegant, quiet and peacefull with a very old world feel. The level of service was great, friendly and knowledgable. I had the double pork chop and my wife had the seared Tuna, both very good. I highly recommend this restaurant for a nice romantic night out. "

  • "Service was great. Our entrees were served very quickly. All of the items we ordered were very good. The breakfast potatoes were very tasty without being greasy. The salmon breakfast dish and the omelets were very good. The French toast was good but was a little too much. I probably would not order the French toast again. We enjoyed the endless mimosas and the build your own Bloody Mary bar. The only slight disappointment was that there was only one tomato base for the Bloody Mary (I believe that a choice of a few different tomato bases were advertised) and the horseradish was not put out for the bloody Mary's until we were about to leave. Otherwise, a very enjoyable Sunday brunch to celebrate our anniversary. "

  • "dinner here was very, very tasty. good menu choices that would fit most any type of taste. they had my favorite wine. it was a little pricey but very nice for the 'priceyness'. made reservations by email and they sent a coupon for $15 off the next bill of $50. or more. spent it a few days later and i had the same experience."

  • "The food was always good for lunch. Now substandard. Lettuce on a sandwich room temp very wilted and old. They brought me new lettuce and said sorry. Oh well. Their A/C was down and not enough fans. I live in the area very disappointed in Park Plaza Gardens today! Portions are smaller. I have eaten here at least 6 times in the last year. This was my last time. The staff is always very good. The kitchen needs help. "

  • "Service was slow, we sat for 30 minutes before we received our salads. Drinks took just as long. I got the tuna entree which was under seasoned and had no flavor. My husband ordered the filet and it was over cooked. Once we finished our dinner we sat for at least 20 minutes before our server cleared our table. Maybe if the restaurant was packed I would expect less, but it wasn't we were the only table there. The only good part about my experience at park plaza garden was the company we had with us. "

  • "We have always enjoyed Park Plaza over the years. Years of many good meals mostly evening. Recently have started going to Sunday brunch. The menu has something for everyone. The atmosphere seems fun and cheerful. Dining room feels right for Sunday family meal. Our food has been consistently good. The wait staff helps make the meal. Overall an easy to recommend choice anytime but fun Sunday meal."

  • "I had a groupon and didn't expect much. We waled into the hotel part and the guy couldn't even get out from behind the desk in back to show us what dooes he was referring toto get to the restaurant. Ambiance nice except for the plastic ceiling and bunches of exposed wires. Food and service was outstanding however and we were pleasantly suprised. My only suggestion would be to install a door between bar and restaurant and the cigaratte smoke was choking near entrance. We will go back but to another table."

  • "One of the things that struck me the most about this restaurant is that the kitchen did not look stressed and hurried---when my food came out and I tasted it, I knew why---we had jumbo scallops and the sea bass, and both dishes were prepared perfectly, with amazing taste! Thank you for paying attention to what really matters---the taste of the food!"

  • "Needed a fast dinner before going to an event at Rollins. We had the King Crab legs that were sliced, fresh, easy to eat and tasty. We started with the carpaccio. The twiced baked potato was awesome. Jason was friendly and prompt but a little chatty for our taste. He definitely knew the menu and was a very good server. Just not sure everyone enjoys the additional effort to inform or relate personal experiences with food. Would recommend Park Plaza Gardens to anyone anytime."

  • "We requested a seat in the gardens because we have been there in the past, and it was a lovely setting. Unfortunately, due to daylight savings time, if you are seated in there before dark, you are looking at a nasty roof with stained plexiglass inserts and wires hanging everywhere. The calamari appetizer was like eating jerky. The chicken was rock hard and couldn't even cut through it. The seafood salad was a bunch of lettuce with no vision of seafood (sprinkles of pieces of unrecognizable bits) The waiter was very upbeat and positive, so that would perhaps have been the highlight of the entire experience. So I'd say, go for drinks, but leave before you consider eating anything in the restaurant!"

  • "Service was very slow and there restaurant was nearly empty, so no obvious reason for the drawn-out service. Took at least 15 minutes before the bread was served. Chopped Salad plate included small shrimp that were cut in half; very under-whelming presentation; insufficient dressing. I requested no onions on the salad, and I could still taste them, even though it appears they removed them. Lovely setting, as always, but not worth the check."

Appetizers were a bit pricey for the size (lobster escargot was delicious! and the burrata tomato salad was nicely split for the two of us. Entrees were fantastic - lamb mix grill was three parts of perfect and the Gulf Shrimp with grits was divine. Will be back!!!"

  • "John was an excellent server. Recommended wines, even wines not on the menu and was very attentive to our needs. Had two appetizers, Calimari and Lobster Escargot style both delicious. Entrees were Giant Scallops (huge) and Crab stuffed Grouper, both very tasty and melt in your mouth good. Dessert was awesome! Atmosphere was very outdoor garden like. Had a self playing piano and the lighting was perfect. Was not very busy because it was Monday, but I like quiet intimate anyway. It was an early Valentine dining opportunity and the perfect setting for a romantic evening."

  • "My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here the other night. We started out with the crispy calamari appetizer - this was awesome, the calamari were mixed with greens and a sweet pepper sauce, very tasty. I had a New York strip, which was cooked to perfection, and my wife had the crab-stuffed grouper, also excellent. For sides, the truffle mac and cheese is not be missed. Overall great experience!"

  • "Food was good. Order a filet minion medium rare but was closer to rare and one side was not cooked as much as the other. Had it been then would most likely been on medium rare side. Wife had shrimp and grits and was very good. We had a side of Brussels Spouts that were very good and a large quantity. Service was good but slow/jumpy. Maybe the server was new. Took extended time for drinks to be served and bread to be served. Server was very pleasant and cordial. Very low noise level and easy to carry on a conversation."

Don't know, however, preparation, taste, display completely a miss. ---It was a special occassion, Or waiter was good, hostess/wait staff needed polishing, Lob Bisque beefy? no cream" Replacement fish Chowder/better but also brown gravy. Main course, My Steak, missing ingredients, steak good but would have been better with the goat cheese. Desserts/call Annie Pies, Your menu features a three layer cake from Miss. We ended up with choc. ck. with syrup like Hershey's and Mart. pudding Banana no taste, missing liquor? Something is really wrong! Please fix it. *Old Fashion from the bar/very good waiter."

  • "Our experience started off rough. After being seated we noticed that 3 tables that were seated after us had been greeted, etc & we were still just sitting there. It was close to 10 minutes when I got the managers attention: Joe & he did his best to set everything in motion quickly. We appreciated that, but wondered how long we woulve just sat there without anyone noticing. That left a bad taste in my mouth especially because it was a birthday dinner for my husband & by this point he was aggravated. The good: our food was amazing. Our waitress & Joe made great suggestions on food/drinks. It's a super cute restaurant, decorated well and feels upscale, but not stuffy. Overall, I'd recommend it...as long as you don't get the "forgotten table""

  • "We had a lovely birthday meal for a friend. We each used a groupon coupon that was $69 - included 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 glasses of wine and 2 desserts per coupon. They gave us a $20 credit on the wine towards a bottle so each couple got a bottle. My meal was exceptionally good - a sunflower crusted tuna over some sort of eggplant saute and it had wonderful seasonings. The tuna was a tad over cooked but still amazing flavors and I almost licked the plate. My dessert was also great - a coconut cake that was extremely moist. My friend had the over the top chocolate cake. My husband had the lamb served three ways and he liked that.My only surprise was that they removed all the lovely banquettes that lined the wall and were so lovely."
