Diner Reviews
  • "Park Place is by far one of my favorite restaurants! The sangria is my go to drink. As for food you have to try the lobster mac and cheese, shrimp and oyster po boy, salmon, and pretty much anything on the menu or offered as a special. I have never eaten anything I haven't loved. Dessert try the fried Oreos! The staff is wonderful, accommodating and friendly. They provide a great overall dining experience."

  • "Small Town ambience with warmth and charm. A bit pricey, however well worth the visit as everyone treats you special, from the bartenders to the water server's you are made to feel at home. Great fresh clams and oysters, (bring your own oysterettes for topping off your clams) All in All a very nice place to enjoy yourself."

  • "We had dinner this past Sunday night at Park Place. The restaurant was moderately busy during our dinner, but the staff was very friendly and efficient. After being seated, our waitress soon took our orders. Dinner arrived shortly after- we shared a Caesar salad before that which was very fresh and tasty. I had the Crispy Salmon with mashed potatoes and spinach; my friend ordered Pappardelle Bolognese. Both dinners were excellent! We also enjoyed a desert- I had chocolate ice cream and my friend chose the apple strudel. Would definitely like to return to try some additional entrees."

  • "I was pleasantly greeted by the hostess and was offered a choice of seating. As I did not want to be by the door, I chose to be seated in the back. The ambiance of the restaurant was good. Dimly lit but perfect for a romantic date, family dinner, or a meal to catch up with old friends (which is what I was there to do). The ambiance, service, and overall feel of the restaurant was good, however the food was nothing to write home about. The linguine in clams sauce is what I ordered and it did not have any flavor I repeatedly had to add salt and pepper to the meal as there was no flavor at all. The Brussel sprouts also lacked any flavor and there was no bacon in it as it had said in the menu. The salmon was a good size but also underwhelming. "

  • "Had driven by this restaurant numerous times and wondered what it was like. Finally got a chance to visit when we were invited to a private graduation party one Saturday afternoon. I could not get over how good all the food. Three weeks later we went back for dinner with friends and our experience was just as good. The wait staff were all pleasant and very attentive to our dining needs. The menu is much better then any Pub type restaurant I have been to. Overall I found Park Place to be a excellent spot for dinner with friends or that special someone. Looking forward to going back in the very near future."

  • "Took my mom here for her birthday. There were 7 of us and the waitstaff was friendly, helpful and plated a nice combo of desserts for her birthday candle plate. We were an hour late due to snow but the table was saved for our early Saturday dinner. Meals were delicious. I had the pork chop; flavorful, a bit fatty (good thing!) and appropriate size. The beet risotto special was excellent as well. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. Great place and we'll definitely be back!"

  • "Park Place is a good neighborhood spot, kid friendly, but also suitable fro special occasions. The food is consistently good with signature dishes such as lobster mac n' cheese, short ribs and file of sole."

  • "I usually go to Park Place for Dinner. This time I had some clients who wanted to meet for lunch. I explained what we needed and were given a quiet table in the back. We had the time we needed to go through a detailed presentation. The wait staff was respectful of our priviacy and need to not be interupted every few minutes. As usuall the food was outstanding and the lunch menue was very diverse. Thanks guy's for the great atmosphere and time to conduct some business and have a truly enjoyable lunch."

  • "My girlfriend, her brother, his fiancé and I went there and it was horrible.I would have to believe that it would actually take a lot of skill to make these dishes as bland as they were. At the prices they charged, I would at least expect them to be on par with a steak from Applebee's. We ordered two skirt steaks, country fried chicken and a bison burger. There was no flavor to these at all. Aside from the food being a near disaster and having to pay for each additional refill of my drink that was 3/4 ice, the service and decor was nice. I'm going to have to say I can guarantee I will never return. If you visit here for anything more than over priced bar food, I can almost guarantee you will be disappointed."

  • "Waitperson was very good one flaw though we ordered a bottle of Santa Margherita pinot gricio finished and ordered another when she came over and opened the second bottle she did not bring a tasting glass. Which she had done on the first bottle. She just poured the second bottle in the glasses from the first bottle . The waitress was very good and I am not complaining but I think it is important if this would offend another client"

  • "We went to Park Place Restaurant on Sat. night for dinner. Upon arriving we were immediately seated at our table and our orders for beverages and dinner were taken. Both of us had the Sole Meunière, which was excellent, served with potatoes and spinach. For dessert we chose two homemade selections- Funnel Oreos and Smores Bake. Really delicious!! We would definitely like to return sometime- the menu offers many varied choices. Also the restaurant seemed popular with locals and energetically busy. One suggestion is to have more available parking nearby."

  • "This is not the first time I've been here, but the first time I used OT to make a reservation. The food is consistently fabulous, and the service is always excellent. Without a reservation, the wait can be long, but well worth it. Have a drink at the bar, they always have something different on tap or mixed. I have even had a private party here and they bend over backwards to insure everything is perfect. Try the Appetizers, the Tuna Tacos or Short rib rolls are great. My wife likes the Sherry Lobster Bisque. Any of the main courses are outstanding, but I really like the Fried Chicken. Lobster Mac & Cheese is great."

  • "Park Place is relatively small and busy local restaurant. The food is what to focus on - it's really exceptionally good! (The short ribs roll appetizer is the best!) The environment is super clean. Food is delicious and presented beautifully. Service is friendly and efficient. Generous mixed drinks are another plus. It's a favorite restaurant. (Come earlier to find parking.)"

  • "Despite the Friday night crowd, the service was attentive, the food was great. I had the organic chicken, which was excellent. My husband had the pork chop which he raved about. Positive experience and would definitely recommend it. BTW - drinks were excellent!!!"

  • "A pleasure to find a local restaurant that is so good. Except for the noise level from the bar, everything was well done. The service was excellent. The portions were large but they were very compliant with sharing. We will definitely put it on our go list."

  • "This is a very pretty place, with excellent service. I was very disappointed in my choice for dinner. The sauce was spicy as described, but for $23, it was largely spaghetti with a small amount of seafood. The service however was extremely pleasant and helpful. For the price, would probably not return for dinner. The bar area was very crowded and looked like a great place to go to for drinks and appetizers."

  • "Waited over 30 min to sit even though I had reservations. And then when we sat, it took over 10 min just to have the waitress come to our table to order drinks. The menu is fairly small, and they were out of three entrees, and the wine we chose. It just seemed like anything we wanted they didn't have. The food we did end up choosing was good, so maybe it was just an overly busy night. I'd possibly try this place again"

  • "I think I have found my new favorite restaurant. I made a reservation on open tabe and we were seated immediately. The food was just beyond delicious. I had the salmon which was just perfectly cooked and my husband raved about the steak. They had several nice choices for our 7 year old. Often a restaurant like this would only have a couple of choices for the little ones. Service was excellent and the waitress was very pleasant. Delicious food, great decor and friendly staff. Loved it and would highly recommend it."

  • "Good friends gathered for Park Place's prix fix lunch offering. The menu offered salads and soup, pasta, salmon, chicken dishes as well as ice cream and funnel cake. How could we go wrong. Excellent hot bread with super friendly service...we will be back."

  • "As usual the food was terrific and it was a very nice place to spend Valentines Day with my girlfriend. When we arrived for our 8:30pm reservation our table was not ready and so we got a drink at the bar. Surprisingly two mixed drinks (a Cosmo and a Hendricks G&T) cost only $14. After being seated (in somewhat tight quarters - which is to be expected as the restaurant is not large) we ordered and service was, quick. A little too quick for my taste, however it was Valentines Day and I assume that their reservation book was full and they were trying to maximize the number of guests they could serve. Giving my girlfriend a rose at the end of the evening was a nice touch."

  • "Waitress was welcoming and friendly. Warmed bread w. butter great opener. Lentil soup was served at the right temperature and wonderfully seasoned. Seafood with risotto was exquisite. You know it is a savory flavor when you have to take a slice of bread and "dunk" into the last amount of sauce. Pasta special with peas and bacon ... yummy!"

  • "Maybe the best restaurant in all of Queens. The lobster Mac is some of the best I have ever had and the ahi tacos are to die for. Love returning to see Chef Anthony and his creations."
