Diner Reviews
  • "Fabulous food, knowledgeable and professional waitress!! Best food in Atlanta!"
    Dined on 4/12/2014
  • "The service was outstanding! We ordered an appetizer and did not notice that it had bacon in the recipe. The server offered, without prompting by us, to prepare another version of the appetizer without the bacon. He wanted to ensure that we had a wonderful dining experience."

  • "Park Cafe continues to be one of the best restaurants in Duluth. This time my wife had dinner with two co-workers and they had a delightful dinner, with excellent service. Especially noteworthy was the shrimp dinner salad my wife had and the white bordeaux wine that the sommelier recommended."

  • "Great little intimate spot just north of the city. Great service and friendly staff. Southern food with a French culinary flair - and a fantastic wine list to boot! Highly recommend this spot!"

  • "Thank you guys for an excellent dinner prior to joining Anthony Papamichael at the Red Clay Theater; what a treat! The food was excellent; your recommendations much appreciated and right on target. Lisa and I look forward to joining you again!"

  • "Excellent choices and very attractive pricing make for a fine experience on Thursdays right now. Choice of 3 starters, 3 entrees, and 2 desserts (sorry, no substitutions) for $25 combined with great service and ambiance makes for a truly special experience. I opted for the duck confit flatbread, marinated flanks teak entree, and the Oreo chocolate truffle dessert while the wife had the tomato bisque, shrimp and pasta, and peach cobbler. Each item was carefully prepared, cooked to perfection and plated in fine style. Not over the top with a lot of decorative greens, but very stylish. Park Cafe is a favorite since we have sworn off downtown ATL and Buckhead due to the crime and threatening atmosphere there. Try it, you'll like it too!"

  • "The overall ambience of the place is wonderful. A bit southern charm with the beautiful hardwood floors. The food was made from scratch . It was fresh and delectable. I would definitely return. We say outside and saw the beautiful sunset and the weather was gorgeous."

  • "The Park Cafe never disappoints! Great food and the atmosphere is fantastic."

  • "Atmosphere was wrong the moment we drove up. Restaurant's front door was shared with another business, so the entrance was confusing. Dining room was small and dark. Food was very good. Waitress was very busy and forgot our four coffees after the meal. The food is the only thing I would recommend about this restaurant. I will not go back."

  • "Well the menu has changed recently and this starter is a winner! My husband and I really liked the fried pita chips it is served with. However it is very filling for just 2 people. Ambience is somewhat homey but tends to get noisy with large groups."

  • "Park cafe is one of my favorite places to go and have a romantic dinner with my husband. Food is great!"

  • "We were looking for a smaller, locally-owned restaurant when I found this on Open Table. With limited opportunities to go out, we like it to matter. This place was a gem. A small home converted to a restaurant. The food was terrific. We started with the trio of dips. The Spinach dip and house-made pimento were tremendous. I had shepherd's pie and it was also spectacular. Hubby had the pork loin and loved it. We split the bread pudding which was so perfumed with cinnamon it was a great way to end the meal. The staff was friendly and we met the owner afterward and chatted for quite a while. We will definitely be back."

  • "Great date night dinner before catching a show at the theater down the street. Very friendly, great food, great service!"
    Dined on 3/7/2014
  • "It's a house converted to a restaurant so the indoor rooms are private with about 4 tables. Duck Confit pasta rocks! Good multi protein offerings with fish, beef, etc. Recommend the fried green tomatoes with a bacon balsamic to start things off. Staff was pleasant, knew when to interrupt and when to just let the table conversation proceed."

  • "Food and service were all good. More then a few things on the menu I wanted to try. Fried green tomatoes were good. Vegetable risotto also. They were out of the beer I ordered from the menu. Will return to try again."

  • "We were seated at our table immediately. The server was very attentive without being overbearing. Food was very good. It was not too noisy, although our neighbours' voices were a little loud at times. We had a very pleasant evening."

  • "Did not have as good of a time as we did few months back. Duck confit was ok nothing special same with Steak. Server could have been trained about their offerings better."

  • "Park Cafe is a great find...a Southern bistro, It's elegant casual with beautiful ambiance at the historic Knox House, and great service! Great romantic spot and do not miss their gourmet lunch specials...to die for!"

  • "It was Valentine's day and the restaurant accommodated us since we were late because of our delayed flight. I wanted the crab bisque but it was more of a bell pepper bisque with that being the overwhelming taste with tri colored minced bell pepper-yuck. But everything else-scallops, smoked salmon appetizer, pork belly as well as the dessert bar were excellent. The wine list is underwhelming but we are from CA so I just happened to have a bottle of reserve Peacock Chardonnay packed-readily available for a $15 corkage. My hubby ate the bisque-heartburn/acid reflux from the bell pepper- the bell pepper was overwhelming it made me gag. The server was too busy to ask if we enjoyed the meal being served-not noting that my soup wasn't eaten."

  • "Intimate dining experience. Great, great food. A bit lengthy between courses though."
    Dined on 2/18/2014
  • "This is a real gem. It took a few mins to seat us, but there ends the negativity. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the wines available and also of the food being served. The wait for food was just about right, so that we didn't get impatient for it, but neither did it feel rushed. The quality of food was very noteworthy indeed - right up there with the likes of Pampas, Vinny's and Canoe - good company to be spoken in. If there was one slight blemish, it was that with the Valentine menu the deserts weren't all that to write home about. However the fritters as a starter and duck as a main course really hit the spot. Extremely well balanced flavors, excellent food temperature and polite and efficient service. We shall return..."

  • "It was the perfect spot for a perfect Valentine's Day dinner. The food was fantastic (pork tenderloin and scallops), the service was excellent, the staff was very attentive, and we never felt rushed. The only thing missing was a full bar. However, it was a wonderful evening and we'll definitely be back."

  • "We went for their valentine's 4 course dinner. They had some new items on the menu for the occasion. Excellent food and service!!"

  • "We were just traveling through and googled and found this gem! A delightful surprise and lovely evening spent relaxing with great food. The risotto was outstanding!"

  • "The food here is fabulous. I could not choose, so I asked the server to choose. I was surprised with the lamb cooked to perfection. The service was attentive but not overwhelming. And the dining room was cozy. I was visiting from out of town; otherwise, this would be my new favorite dining room. I am looking forward to visiting the area again just to try the next menu item. This place is a GEM. One of my favorite dining experiences of all time."

  • "Although we had not eaten at Park Cafe in several months, my wife and I consider it to be one of our favorite local restaurants. Our latest meal there did not disappoint us. We started with a delicious flatbread appetizer, accompanied with a nice bottle of French Chardonnay (Louis Letour?). My wife had the Shrimp and Spinach dinner salad, while I opted for the dinner special Mussels with Basmati rice and vegetables. While my wife's dinner was well prepared, there was nothing unique about it. However, my mussels entree was prepared exceptionally well prepared and I hope to see it on the menu again. We finished our meal with two freshly-brewed cups of coffee and the bread pudding "bananas Foster." Our server, Patrick, was outstanding!"

  • "I invited friends for Dinner at Park Cafe, we arrived a little earlier than our reservation and we sat on the leather couch while Tiffany served us drinks. I love the new sitting area,it's very relaxing and great to sit back with friends to have a few drinks The restaurant was full and Tiffany found a way to sit us even though we arrived early, the food was amazing as usual. Thank you again for another wonderful night !"

  • "This restaurant use to have great food and service. Not sure what changed but the menu is nothing special, the food is so-so and the service is lacking. Such a disappointment."

  • "Great restaurant close to home. We arrived 45 minutes early, didn't have to drive to downtown Atlanta. We thought we would be spending time at the bar, but the friendly wait staff found us a nice table. Started with a good glass of wine and some fried green tomatoes which may be the best I've had! Got to try the duck pasta because the taste will surprise you."

  • "Went for lunch and had a delightful meal with a good waiter. Wide variety of choices from appetizers, to soups, sandwiches, salads and entrees. No room for dessert, but the selection sounded fantastico!"

  • "great place to walk in and have a spinach salad and a glass of red wine for lunch. Fantastic place to take out of town friends & relatives to show of lovely view, good and interesting food, reliable service. A talk with the owner is great since he knows a lot about food & wine around the USA- specially in New Orleans."

  • "We arrived a few minutes late, but we were not chastised for doing so. Everyone was so welcoming. Even though I chose a red wine, our waiter still brought me two glasses to taste test. The food was well proportioned, and oh so palatable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone."

  • "It was a cool evening but the warmth of this cute little house took off the chill. Greeted at the door & was offered beverages while we waited for our table (we were early). We were seated quickly in a small, intimate room with about 3 other tables. The only thing that was annoying was that the floor sagged every time someone walked behind my chair! A got a ride throughout the evening! The house salad was huge and the dressing delightfully light & tasty. We had trout, lamb chops & pork tenderloin. Each of us commented on how delicious the entrée was. Being on a diet, we avoided any drinks or dessert, but left full and satisfied. Our waiter was very helpful & friendly, however, was not always around when we needed him. Enjoyable time"
