The service is spot on too!6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome!Everything was truly amazing. I read reviews and decided to take a chance. We were impressed with everything. The food was amazing. The chef recommended the trout dish and I loved it. Others had bacon wrapped meatloaf and lamb chops. Everyone enjoyed it all. The fried green tomatoes as an appetizer are not to be missed. There is a lot of southern charm in this little place and downtown Duluth.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMQuaint, small and goodVery small place. we eat outside witch was very nice. I liked everything about this place. The duck was very good, wife had the salmon and it was also very good. Niece had steak and fries. down side is they only have beer and wine. I hope to visit again when visiting family.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful night to sit outsideWe went to dinner with friends. The pod was really good. We nhad the trout and the pork tenderloin, both were really good.
We ordered fried pickles and vadalia onion spread also really good.
The waitress made ure we had the best red wine.
We will be back.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful experience!Had a great time for our anniversary dinner. Weather was not too hot so eating outside was the perfect option -- and we were glad we we did. The outside section had great ambiance and delivered a nice romantic backdrop to our special occasion. The food was spectacular and original. What made our experience that much better was the top-notch service. Our server was friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. Add it all together and you get an awesome restaurant that I would definitely revisit, and would recommend to friends!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMPark Café is a gem in downtownPark Café is a gem in downtown Duluth! The food is an eclectic combination of southern cuisine and American favorites. The wine list is great as well as the service. If weather permits, request outdoor seating. The views of the Duluth courtyard are a great backdrop. I highly recommend this spot!6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMNIcely SurprisedI had heard and read a lot of great things about this place, and with that being said, my experience still exceeded my expectations. We had gone there for a work group birthday dinner and dined outside. The food was fabulous. All 8 members of the party were raving about their dish. I will definitely go back for more.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMI love the New Menu itemsTry their trout on their new menu , outstanding ! ! That's all I need to say !5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat lunch spotA friend an I had both had the Shrimp and Grits At Park Cafe. This dis was one of the better versions. I especially like the generous garnish of fresh spinach. I hope to go back again, soon..5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food in a nice atmosphereI've dined at Park Cafe twice now - both times I was in Atlanta...Food was great both times, the atmosphere is nice (set in a restored old home). I'd recommend it - would go back again.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMCheck out the outdoor PatioOnce again a wonderful lunch experience, I sat on their outdoor patio overlooking town green, I felt like I was on vacation.
Great food, great service, great ambiance, can't beat this for a $10.00 lunch, Soup, Salad and half sandwich, why go for fast food ? As you can tell I love this place ! Try it out it's the best outdoor patio around5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for Special OccasionsWe have been to Park Cafe a couple of times and it has been fabulous food every time. I can personally attest to the deliciousness of the lamb and steak. The daily specials sound delectable but we went with friends who tried the sausage and pepper risotto only to find it extremely hot without any warning and the waitress refilled my friend's half full wine glass with mineral water. We had great service the first time and kind of passable service the second time. However, the food is definitely worth it.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMDestination DuluthGood House, Great Food, Impeccable Service. Enough Said, for this Chef Driven Upscale Southern Bistro Gem.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous Dinner ExperienceI had dined once at Park Cafe prior to my visit on 5/10/13. My husband and I went for his birthday dinner (his first time at Park Cafe). We have been raving about the food since. From the appetizer to dessert, everything was fantastic. Our server was Kyle, and he was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and wines. We dined on the patio, which had a nice view of downtown Duluth. The next night, we dined at The Optimist in Atlanta, which is supposed to be one of the best restaurants in the city, but I was not impressed whatsoever and told my husband multiple times, "Park Cafe was so much better than this." Anyway, we loved it, and will be back again soon. Highly recommend. Everything is made to order.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMIntimate SettingThe Park Cafe is quaint and very small so book ahead. The service is friendly and the food good. Portion sizes are larger than similar style restaurants.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMCharming and Fabulous! What an absolutely adorable place in a quaint old house. I was told they had a great wine menu but this was not the case but got over that quickly and settled on what ended up being a very nice bottle of Syrah. Our server couldn't have been any nicer or more helpful. The Crispy Pickles were just OK and the Trio Tasting of Dips was more than enough for 2. I would save my appetite next time for the REAL food. My husband ordered the Duck Confit Pasta which could be the best tasting dish we have had in years. I had to refrain myself from stealing it from him - luckily my Tilapia was amazing and had me distracted with fabulous Sweet Corn Risotto. We are only in Atlanta for the week but I will try my hardest to get back here once more.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have come to Park CafeWe have come to Park Cafe for many years now and love how good the food and service are. Great spot for date night or with the kids, especially sitting outside on the porch during warm weather.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMcozy/yummythis is my go to special occasion spot. They have great made from scratch food that you will not find on a typical menu. I love the old house smell and sounds. I don't like crowds when I'm on a date night with my husband, nor do I want children. this is perfect, no kids, quiet table, nice neighborhood environment.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and serviceExcellent food and service in the heart of historic Duluth.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMI took my mom for her 87thI took my mom for her 87th birthday along with her sister and my children. Everything we had was delicious. They all loved everything. My mom and her sister are Italian grandma types and are very picky with food. They loved it all and can't wait to go back! Our server was wonderful and they loved her too!4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was excellent as always.Food was excellent as always. Nice wine list. The girlfriend and I go here for a romantic night.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMReally enjoy this restaurant.Really enjoy this restaurant. They always seem to have affordable wine selections that are not your run of the day wines. The food is great also. I have yet to have a bad meal.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWOW! The Park Cafe iOutstanding! The food at the Park Cafe was fabulous. I ordered the night's 'special' and it was absolutely delicious.
My wife and I really enjoyed our visit.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMI give the restaurant a 7 of 1-10We had a great 1st time at the Park. We found the food prices to be reasonable, and the food great..but at $9. per glass of wine we found that to be much overboard....especially for a 1/2 glass of wine. The server constantly forgot our our needs and we had to remind her several times what we ordered, and even then the response was very slow. It took 10 minutes to get our check after asking for it. However she did keep the table clear of used dishes which was very important to us, and she was pleasant. We would return for a second try in the future.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a very enjoyable timeHad a very enjoyable time celebrating my husband's birthday. We started with the crispy pickles, which were to die for.
Husband had the duck confit and I had the shrimp and grits with garlic spinach. The spinach was too salty, but the shrimp and grits were great. I did have a bit of food jealousy though, while my meal was delicious, my husband's was handsdown the winner. The duck was tender, the sauce had a bit of sweetness to it and the pasta was al dente.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food and outstanding serviceThis was our 4th visit to the restaurant and, probably, our best. Our server (Natalie) was very attentive and accommodating (as well as personable) without being obtrusive. I had mentioned in a previous review that the food preparation can be uneven and it occurred again when two of us ordered the salmon done medium. One entree came out a perfect medium; the other was on the well done side. Additionally, the more well done piece was almost devoid of sauce while the other had the appropriate portion. That being said, both were pleased with the flavor of the fish. The 3rd diner had the lamb which arrived with three generous portions of meat, which was also very tasty. I had the shepherd's pie in a burgundy sauce-also very tasty4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMUpscale, relaxed neighborhood gemDon't judge a book by its cover. The exterior of this old house on Duluth's historic main street (Hwy 120) may look modest, but the interior has been tastefully decorated in pleasant, if minimalist style. There are cozy corners for an excellent lunch or a romantic, candle-lit, gourmet dinner. We're very glad it's in the neighborhood.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Patio in TownI try new restaurants all the time and I must say this is my favorite, now that the warmer weather is here it's even better, sit on the patio over looking Town Green it's great.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMA Great Evening Out in DuluthDelicious foods...fried green tomatoes are excellent. We had the specials of the evening, scallops and quinoa in a lime extraction, absolutely perfect blend of flavors, textures, and colors. This is a great place and would highly recommend for an evening out or a nice dinner before a Red Clay Theatre show. Service was great, cheerful and very descriptive. Was nonintrusive but attentive. Can't say enough good.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFood, ambiance unparalleledPark Cafe is unparalleled compared to any restaurant within a 15 mile radius and could easily compete with "big city" trend spots. We have eaten there many times, and the service is always outstanding. Unfortunately, this past visit, we had a waitress who was a little brisk and cold. However, all of the other staff was warm and helpful, per usual. The food, especially the risotto of the day (that night it was barbecue shrimp), was perfectly prepared with a great balance of favors. The ambiance in the restaurant is lovely and intimate, and the wine selection may not be extensive, but the wines are excellent. I encourage you to try out Park Cafe!3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThe staff was very friendlyThe staff was very friendly and professional. The horseradish potato salmon dish was cooked to perfection and was very tasty. The BBQ pork tenderloin was also well preared and a nice flavor. We would definitley return.3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMCute, Quaint, & DeliciousI really enjoyed myself! The food was fantastic and the service as well. We had a toddler with us. I would not recommend that on a normal basis, but he loved the food too.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMI was very surprised to findI was very surprised to find an Atlanta calibur resturant in the heart of Duluth. The food and the service was wonderful. The menu was very creative and all the staff were extremely friendly. Park Cafe is in a historic house which makes the experience all the better. Its a great place to go for dinner with friends or for that special occasion. I hope to be back soon.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMI took a friend for a firstI took a friend for a first time visit and she was totally impressed as well. A first class establishment.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a nice little restaurant. What a nice little restaurant. A converted historic house with dining spread in separate rooms allows for a quiet, intimate setting. The food portions were generous, the prices moderate and all in the party of 6 was very please with the quality of the meal. The same restaurant concept in Buckhead would have left me hungry (the plate presentation was fine dining but the portions were more of a home-cooking style) and considerally lighter of wallet. We'll be back.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMJackie was great. ExcellentJackie was great. Excellent service and the best duck I've had in years. Can't wait to go back.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Pre-concert Dinner SpotIt was a beautiful evening and they were able to seat us outside. There were 6 of us having dinner before going to the Red Clay Theater down the street for a concert. This was a great pre-concert dinner spot as we only had to park once. The food was excellent. I had the Tilapia, others at the table tried the special, which was a risotto with duck. All were in agreement that it was a fantastic meal with a great view of the Duluth Town Green. The tables on the covered patio were spaced well apart and it was quiet enough to easily hear one another. Our server was very friendly and helpful.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional!Park Cafe has become our favorite restaurant. The food is consistently exceptional, and the service is great. Highly recommended!2/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGo for LunchI've been here quite a few times for diner and always left thinking I must come back.
I came back to have Lunch, it was amazing, the food was excellent, the service was quick, I was in and out in less than 40 minutes, here's the best part.
Their Lunch special changes daily, soup, salad, large half sandwich for only $10.00.
You can't beat this.1/22/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Kept Secret North of AtlantaI had diner here a few weeks ago and was very impressed ( For some reason my feedback was never listed ) I rated everything as Outstanding. I'm not sure if Open table does not list Outstanding reviews, but this place truly is amazing.1/11/2013 12:00:00 AMHidden JewelI have always known this place as the best patio in town.
Going back in the winter was a new experience, as I walked in the host greeted me by name like I was an old friend ( OK I was right on time, that helps ) walked me to my table moments later the waitress greeted me and took my drink order.
The ambiance was excellent; the staffs made me feel like they were all there just for me even though the restaurant was full. Once the food arrived it was exactly what I ordered, it was even better than I remembered, I was told it’s because Chef Tiffany came back a few months ago, it was amazing.
Overall a great experience, I’ll be back often.1/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
