Diner Reviews
  • "We enjoyed a great meal in a beautiful restaurant. Great menu and excellent service."

  • "I have NEVER had a "bad" anything at Park Cafe...even the service is exceptional. Can not recommend this place highly enough!"
    Dined on 7/22/2014
  • "Food was excellent. Service and ambiance superb. Prices were high. Very old building, not soundproofed very well, making it difficult to talk, especially if it is for a special date night."
    Dined on 7/19/2014
  • "Charming spot in the park, great service and wonderful food. Very nice sitting outside, seemed a littel cramped inside but probably nice on a rainy winter day. Go on Thirsty Thursday and enjoy the price fix menu."
    Dined on 7/17/2014
  • "Park Cafe is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always hot and delicious! This evening the service was quite slow and it was almost a half hour before our appetizers arrived. They were worth the wait! As we were outside and it was 8:15pm when we got there (yes, we had reservations), it seemed odd that it took so long to get our food. It was at least 9:30pm before we actually ate our dinner, so next time we'll definitely come earlier!"

  • "Went here after seeing a movie. Service was fantastic and the food, delicious. Definitely glad I found this place on Yelp and made a reservation here."

  • "Food & service were outstanding & particularly liked the fried Green Tomatos appetizer. Small quaint rooms make for intimacy but noisy when full. All & All we had a very good dining experience & would recommend it to others."
    Dined on 7/12/2014
  • "the restaurant is not fancy but the food was very good .We had a great server, Jackie, and had an enjoyable evening The food is overpriced in my opinion e.g. $9.00 for small bowl of soup and $11.00 for fancy fried green tomatos Nevertheless our food was very good and we may return if we have another coupon or restaurant. com certificate"
    Dined on 7/11/2014
  • "We ordered two appetizers each as our dinners since the entrees all seemed too heavy and no vegetarian alternative was offered. The dishes were beautifully presented and combined interesting flavors."
    Dined on 7/11/2014
  • "Pricey, but nice. The meatloaf was okay, but lacking flavor. It's close to a venue I frequent was the ony reason we tried it. Would go back for only for appetizer and drinks."
    Dined on 7/11/2014
  • "Thanks for a great time. Group of friends got together for lunch, dined outside and spent the afternoon enjoying ourselves. Good amazing. We will come back again and again"

  • "We came here once without a reservation but managed to get a spot. This time we made reservations for our wedding anniversary and could not have asked for a better choice. Service and food was great. We got to dine outside and it was very romantic. Will definely dine with you all again."

  • "I had forgotten just how wonderful the fried green tomatoes are! The lunch special, with soup, sandwich and salad, was excellent in both taste and price ($10). Great place for small groups of 5 - 10 people. Nice place to celebrate any special occasion."
    Dined on 6/28/2014
  • "This was our first visit and we completely enjoyed the evening. The food was creatve, fresh, upscale yet completely "comforting". The menu is not overwhelming, which made the whole decision making process easy, but if you are looking for a huge variety this is not the place for you. My husbands risotto was great and my chicken was cooked perfectly! The service was great. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We loved the character and charm of the restaurant. Our only suggestion for improvement is that the wood back chairs were a little uncomfortable. We may try the patio when we return, but we will definitely go back."

  • "Park Café presented an unique atmosphere for early evening dining. The balanced wine list nicely complimented the exceptionally delicious entrees."
    Dined on 6/19/2014
  • "The food was very good. I would not have ordered slaw as a side if I had known the sandwich came with a small salad - menu could be more detailed about what comes with the sandwiches. Service was good until time to pay and then was very slow. Many people are on their lunch hour so please be more cognoscente of that."

  • "Food was very good but service was slow and not what I expected "

  • "This is by far my favorite restaurant, I love the new menu, we sat on the outdoor patio overlooking the fountain on town green, it felt like we were on vacation. The food was amazing as always. Love this place ! "

  • "This is one of our favorite spots. They have added some new menu items and we tried several of them. The boiled peanut hummus was to die for. I have to say, just Wow! The food is so good and we had excellent service. Definitely a place to try if you haven't already!!"

  • "Great place to eat lunch. Great menu. Jacqueline (sp?) and Carlos are great servers. I'll keep coming back and will bring my wife to dinner."
    Dined on 5/22/2014
  • "Having been here many times the food is consistently very good. The prices are a tad the high having recently spent $60+ at lunch for three people and we only just shared a few things. Forget the lunch combo (a cup of soup, a salad, and a half a sandwich for $10). The half a sandwich has literally one bite of the main ingredient (whether it's lamb, chicken, beef, etc.). The salad and soup is nice, though. It is definitely a foodie type of place. The outdoor patio is terrific in the spring or fall and the restaurant has a very intimate feel to it. The seasoned pita chips that are served with the dips are fabulous and addicting. The manager, Tiffany, aims to please, oversees the menu and she is a super chef herself so that is a good thing."

  • "Nice diverse menu. Outstanding, knowledgeable service. A little pricey, but for the atmosphere and quality, a great local buy and good special occasion location. Highly recommended."

  • "Great food, great service. We had the salmon filet, awesome!! We went there for my birthday celebration."

  • "I picked this spot for Mother's Day lunch. Unfortunately, we were all very dissapointed. The food took atleast 40 minutes to arrive and when it did both mine and my mother's salmon were overcooked. My grandmother ordered the crab cake sandwhich, which looked good but she said it was only fair. Our waiter Carlos, was very pleasant but we saw him only intermittently as he was clearly very occupied. I don't mind waiting for delicious food...but this was just not the case. Also, the ambience was lacking...we chose to sit inside one of the dining rooms because it looked like it might rain...and it just seemed poorly lit and sparsely decorated. This place had potential to be so charming but it lacked thoughtful decoration."

  • "The food was average. We didn't realize that it was wine & beer only. We felt rushed by the server to place our order. We probably wouldn't go there again."
    Dined on 5/9/2014
  • "Restaurant is in a great location but was mostly empty on a Sat night at 8pm when we arrived .. hmmm. No one at the hostess stand, bartender just looked at us, called no one over & so we waited a full 5 minutes before the hostess finally saw us & asked how could she help! We were seated in a nice room & then waited a full 10 minutes before the waiter finally arrived & tried to launch directly into the specials - before introducing himself, before bringing water or asking about our cocktail/wine orders. We consciously decided to stay, even after waiting another 10 minutes for the water & or wine order to arrive. Lamb & trout were good, not great though & the wine list needs major work. For $175 for 3 people, the service must improve."

  • "We travel to Duluth once a yr and found this gem last year. Fried pickles are a must. The duck pasta is super rich and yum. I would suggest to them to maybe add a few more good wines to their list however. I remember last year that was my only issue and still is. We will try again next year. Overall great quaint spot with good food and service. "

  • "Fabulous food, knowledgeable and professional waitress!! Best food in Atlanta!"
    Dined on 4/12/2014
  • "The service was outstanding! We ordered an appetizer and did not notice that it had bacon in the recipe. The server offered, without prompting by us, to prepare another version of the appetizer without the bacon. He wanted to ensure that we had a wonderful dining experience."

  • "Park Cafe continues to be one of the best restaurants in Duluth. This time my wife had dinner with two co-workers and they had a delightful dinner, with excellent service. Especially noteworthy was the shrimp dinner salad my wife had and the white bordeaux wine that the sommelier recommended."

  • "Great little intimate spot just north of the city. Great service and friendly staff. Southern food with a French culinary flair - and a fantastic wine list to boot! Highly recommend this spot!"

  • "Thank you guys for an excellent dinner prior to joining Anthony Papamichael at the Red Clay Theater; what a treat! The food was excellent; your recommendations much appreciated and right on target. Lisa and I look forward to joining you again!"

  • "Excellent choices and very attractive pricing make for a fine experience on Thursdays right now. Choice of 3 starters, 3 entrees, and 2 desserts (sorry, no substitutions) for $25 combined with great service and ambiance makes for a truly special experience. I opted for the duck confit flatbread, marinated flanks teak entree, and the Oreo chocolate truffle dessert while the wife had the tomato bisque, shrimp and pasta, and peach cobbler. Each item was carefully prepared, cooked to perfection and plated in fine style. Not over the top with a lot of decorative greens, but very stylish. Park Cafe is a favorite since we have sworn off downtown ATL and Buckhead due to the crime and threatening atmosphere there. Try it, you'll like it too!"

  • "The overall ambience of the place is wonderful. A bit southern charm with the beautiful hardwood floors. The food was made from scratch . It was fresh and delectable. I would definitely return. We say outside and saw the beautiful sunset and the weather was gorgeous."

  • "Well the menu has changed recently and this starter is a winner! My husband and I really liked the fried pita chips it is served with. However it is very filling for just 2 people. Ambience is somewhat homey but tends to get noisy with large groups."
