First of all we booked through open table - which told us a table for 6 was only available at 5:30 or 9 PM we took the 5:30 but the restaurant wasn't even close to being full when we left at 8:30. So was there a computer glitch - I may not use open table in the future. Overall the food was okay but not worth the hour drive.

My father came in from out of town and I brought him to this gem of a restaurant. We were greeted warmly and seated in a charming dining room. Our service was excellent and Server knowledgable about the wine and beer pairings with our dinner. I had the chicken and pimento Mac and cheese-divine! My father had the crab bisque and crusted trout. He loved every bite. I recommend the boiled peanut hummus too! Overall I gave this restaurant 5-stars because from start to finish everything was perfect and a warm accompaniment to my father's visit. The staff was professional and attentive, and our dinners were full of delicate flavor profiles befitting of a big city menu. We were not disappointed. Park Cafe is on the short list for OTP dining!

This was our first visit to Park Cafe. I loved that the location was a converted old historic house. The bar is located on the enclosed front porch! We got the pork belly and crab cake appetizers, which were both delicious (the pork belly was a particularly big hit). The bottle of Fritz Sauvignon Blanc was good, though I advise you to look at the wine list ahead of time, as I only had knowledge of a few wines listed, making my choice a bit harder. Everyone enjoyed their entree choice (shepherds pie, steak, roasted chicken). I will caution you that, at least where we were seated, this is not a restaurant conducive to a raucous party atmosphere. It was very subdued, quiet, and romantic (at least the Thursday night we were there).

Hello, We received very poor service and had to stop waiters going by the table. The Steak my husband had was tough and lacked flavor the potatoes were good. The chicken I had also lacked flavor but the rice was good. The restaurant was very hot like they did not have air conditioning I asked if it was always hot they advised it is an old house with not much ventilation.

The food and service was good. Went on a Friday night at 6pm, so fairly empty. Server was good and attentive. Food was good, but not quite 5 stars. Fried pita chips are good; but the warm onion dip was lacking flavor. One diner had the BBQ pork tenderloin with whipped sweet potatoes, which was very good. Another had the risotto special, also a good-sized piece or pork tenderloin. Good, but not great. Had the maple creme brulee. Not quite as smooth as we are used to. Also, the custard portion was very warm and would have tasted better cold. Understand it may get not as cold due to melting of the sugar for the glaze, but with the very thick glaze, it warmed up the custard too much for our taste.

Setting is just cute. Old house sits on the village green. Dined outside on the lovely patio. I allowed my server to make recommendations for starter, entree and wine. Fried green tomatoes were crispy and delicious but a bit overwhelmed by a heavy balsamic sauce. Pork tenderloin was perfectly cooked and very tender. Topped with green apples and resting on a bed of mashed sweets and some fresh veggies - excellent preparation but again, overwhelmed by the pool of maple syrup under the potatoes that just made it overly sweet. Chocolate ganache tart appeared to be topped with table salt instead of shaved sea salt as the menu suggested. Wine recommendation was a home run, lots of great moderately priced bottles.

I go to this restaurant often, and usually order the same thing, the salmon filet, which is awesome. This time however, the server, who was very nice, got the order wrong, I don't like cooked spinach, so I asked for something else, but I got the spinach. And I didn't remember the salmon having so much of the sauce on it, I should have had them put it on the side. Then they accidentally threw my friends leftovers away, after she asked for a to go container. They did replace it, but we felt odd asking them to. I will be back though, it's still a great place. Can't always be perfect.

We have been here before and it was better. The trout dish was really on the oily side and too much bacon. Yup, it is possible to have too much bacon. The bacon overpowered the fish. The warm pita chips served with any of the dips are outrageous. The service here is always incredibly slow. Make sure you have 2 hours for dinner because it will take that long and that is not having dessert. Also, this is an old building and the AC doesn't work that great. We were HOT. I would go when it is cooler and sit on the porch. Also, the lunch looks more affordable.

Lunches & Dinners are fantastic time after time. Noise level can be a bit high at time, but that is the nature of the restaurant - converted old home with high ceilings. But that has never caused us to regret our choice. Lovely outside dining as well on the wrap around porch. Quality of food and the service never disappoints. Fantastic wine list. Best if you don't have schedule to keep. The pace is wonderfully leisurely.

We can always count on getting great food at the Park Cafe and when you bring guests to a dinner spot you don't want to be embarrassed. You will never be embarrassed here. Generous portions and delectable food. Excellent wines but a less notable beer list. Service is great and the waitresses KNOW the dishes, what is in them and how they taste which is great when trying to get a good recommendation. My husband always judges a restaurant by this knowledge and the first thing he asks is - what are your 2 favorite entrees on the menu!! The staff here knows the food and has good recommendations! Thank you for another notable dining experience

Our group of 4 ladies enjoyed a nice leisurely lunch after shopping in the vicinity. Leisurely...don't be in a hurry, because the service is relaxed! The food was delicious, the outdoor seating had a nice breeze and our server was delightful! He had great recommendations which was necessary because the menu has many excellent choices. We will definitely return to the Park Cafe so we can sample something else on the menu. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and fries. The fries are scrumptious, get the fries - don't be healthy and order fruit.

I and my friend both got the shrimp and grits... We were expecting creamy grits but instead the grit squares (?) were dry and not enjoyable. I recommend changing the menu to have "creamy" grits.....The shrimp had a bad fishy aftertaste too but didn't notice it til the last few shrimp. That's my only complaint! Good service! This was my first time at Park Cafe and I was seated promptly. The appetizer duck confit flatbread was very good but portion was small. The spinach salad appetizer was large in comparison to the flatbread so I would suggest talking to your server if you plan to share an appetizer. The pork tenderloin entree was perfectly prepared and just the right portion. The shrimp pasta was well prepared and delicious and was large enough to have some leftover. Make sure to check with server though since portion sizes do seem to vary here.

Park Cafe is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always hot and delicious! This evening the service was quite slow and it was almost a half hour before our appetizers arrived. They were worth the wait! As we were outside and it was 8:15pm when we got there (yes, we had reservations), it seemed odd that it took so long to get our food. It was at least 9:30pm before we actually ate our dinner, so next time we'll definitely come earlier!
