We had a really nice dinner. We sat outside which was beautiful except for the Mosquitos - the restaurant needs to spray cutter.

Lunches & Dinners are fantastic time after time. Noise level can be a bit high at time, but that is the nature of the restaurant - converted old home with high ceilings. But that has never caused us to regret our choice. Lovely outside dining as well on the wrap around porch. Quality of food and the service never disappoints. Fantastic wine list. Best if you don't have schedule to keep. The pace is wonderfully leisurely.

We can always count on getting great food at the Park Cafe and when you bring guests to a dinner spot you don't want to be embarrassed. You will never be embarrassed here. Generous portions and delectable food. Excellent wines but a less notable beer list. Service is great and the waitresses KNOW the dishes, what is in them and how they taste which is great when trying to get a good recommendation. My husband always judges a restaurant by this knowledge and the first thing he asks is - what are your 2 favorite entrees on the menu!! The staff here knows the food and has good recommendations! Thank you for another notable dining experience

  • Leisurely Lunch with the Ladies

Our group of 4 ladies enjoyed a nice leisurely lunch after shopping in the vicinity. Leisurely...don't be in a hurry, because the service is relaxed! The food was delicious, the outdoor seating had a nice breeze and our server was delightful! He had great recommendations which was necessary because the menu has many excellent choices. We will definitely return to the Park Cafe so we can sample something else on the menu. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and fries. The fries are scrumptious, get the fries - don't be healthy and order fruit.

Made a reservation for 3. We were put on the hot patio with all the gnats. Had a 92 yr old in our group!!! Food is acceptable. Inside is very small, crowded, and LOUD. I won't be back unless I eat on the patio in ideal weather...like a perfect fall day.

I and my friend both got the shrimp and grits... We were expecting creamy grits but instead the grit squares (?) were dry and not enjoyable. I recommend changing the menu to have "creamy" grits.....The shrimp had a bad fishy aftertaste too but didn't notice it til the last few shrimp. That's my only complaint! Good service! Love the atmosphere.

Absolutely wonderful! The food was fantastic and the atmosphere is delightful. We were able to sit outside on the covered patio. The service was flawless. They also have an excellent wine selection. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion. The pricing is very reasonable. The downtown Duluth area is perfect for an after dinner stroll. Definitely a must!

This was my first time at Park Cafe and I was seated promptly. The appetizer duck confit flatbread was very good but portion was small. The spinach salad appetizer was large in comparison to the flatbread so I would suggest talking to your server if you plan to share an appetizer. The pork tenderloin entree was perfectly prepared and just the right portion. The shrimp pasta was well prepared and delicious and was large enough to have some leftover. Make sure to check with server though since portion sizes do seem to vary here.

Park Cafe is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always hot and delicious! This evening the service was quite slow and it was almost a half hour before our appetizers arrived. They were worth the wait! As we were outside and it was 8:15pm when we got there (yes, we had reservations), it seemed odd that it took so long to get our food. It was at least 9:30pm before we actually ate our dinner, so next time we'll definitely come earlier!

the restaurant is not fancy but the food was very good .We had a great server, Jackie, and had an enjoyable evening The food is overpriced in my opinion e.g. $9.00 for small bowl of soup and $11.00 for fancy fried green tomatos Nevertheless our food was very good and we may return if we have another coupon or restaurant. com certificate

This was our first visit and we completely enjoyed the evening. The food was creatve, fresh, upscale yet completely "comforting". The menu is not overwhelming, which made the whole decision making process easy, but if you are looking for a huge variety this is not the place for you. My husbands risotto was great and my chicken was cooked perfectly! The service was great. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We loved the character and charm of the restaurant. Our only suggestion for improvement is that the wood back chairs were a little uncomfortable. We may try the patio when we return, but we will definitely go back.

The food was very good. I would not have ordered slaw as a side if I had known the sandwich came with a small salad - menu could be more detailed about what comes with the sandwiches. Having been here many times the food is consistently very good. The prices are a tad the high having recently spent $60+ at lunch for three people and we only just shared a few things. Forget the lunch combo (a cup of soup, a salad, and a half a sandwich for $10). The half a sandwich has literally one bite of the main ingredient (whether it's lamb, chicken, beef, etc.). The salad and soup is nice, though. It is definitely a foodie type of place. The outdoor patio is terrific in the spring or fall and the restaurant has a very intimate feel to it. The seasoned pita chips that are served with the dips are fabulous and addicting. The manager, Tiffany, aims to please, oversees the menu and she is a super chef herself so that is a good thing.

I picked this spot for Mother's Day lunch. Unfortunately, we were all very dissapointed. The food took atleast 40 minutes to arrive and when it did both mine and my mother's salmon were overcooked. My grandmother ordered the crab cake sandwhich, which looked good but she said it was only fair. Our waiter Carlos, was very pleasant but we saw him only intermittently as he was clearly very occupied. I don't mind waiting for delicious food...but this was just not the case. Also, the ambience was lacking...we chose to sit inside one of the dining rooms because it looked like it might rain...and it just seemed poorly lit and sparsely decorated. This place had potential to be so charming but it lacked thoughtful decoration.

Restaurant is in a great location but was mostly empty on a Sat night at 8pm when we arrived .. hmmm. No one at the hostess stand, bartender just looked at us, called no one over & so we waited a full 5 minutes before the hostess finally saw us & asked how could she help! We were seated in a nice room & then waited a full 10 minutes before the waiter finally arrived & tried to launch directly into the specials - before introducing himself, before bringing water or asking about our cocktail/wine orders. We consciously decided to stay, even after waiting another 10 minutes for the water & or wine order to arrive. Lamb & trout were good, not great though & the wine list needs major work. For $175 for 3 people, the service must improve.
