Park Avenue SpringFood was beyond wonderful!Food was beyond wonderful! Everything was great fresh, beautifully served. Fresh Snap pea soup was the epiotomie of spring!!!!so fresh, flavor was incrdible. I would go back everyday for the soup.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing breakfast risotto!Brunch was a real treat. Terrific all around, food, service and great atmosphere. The breakfast risotto is amazing!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMCannot go wrong hereThis restaurant never disappoints-it remains consistently reliable in the food/service and ambience arena.
It is a perfect place to take friends for a first-time outing. One of the few dining halls where the noise level, considering elements of the decor, stays at a low level. Extremely pleasant, always from my many times eating here!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of my favorites! One of the true gems in New York. We've been here for every season and they have all been spectacular!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful RestaurantThis restaurant was recommended by a friend who said that it was a must while in NYC. She was so right! I loved the concept of changing decor and menus with the seasons. It looked lovely on the website but was even more beautiful in person. The food was amazing; particularly the chicken liver appetizer. The servers were all very pleasant and even though it was busy, they took the time to chat with us. The Wine Steward/Manager was wonderful! Thanks everyone for making my husband's birthday extra special with the cake!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful setting; lovely brunchThis is gorgeous small dining room. (Restaurant also has 3 other specialized group dining rooms that sound quite interesting.).
We went for brunch. There is good selection and food was delicious....I had spring pea soup that was rich but light.....great flavor.
Fruit appetizer was plain (for once) but perfect fruit ...ripe and delicious. Ricotta pancakes were again light and most interesting.
While we (a couple in their 60s) were eating...a group came in with 6 small children (under 5).....they seemed to accommodate this group quite well......without disturbing other diners which I found quite good......it is generally not a restaurant for families but certainly well done. Décor was lovely spring colors.....modern and sleek.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had an early dinner soWe had an early dinner so it was very quiet when we arrived, but towards the middle of the meal when other people started to sit down there was a nice noise level. The kind of noise that tells you everyone is enjoying their company and dining experience.
I thought the menu contained items for anyone's liking and the decor was delicate, tasteful and pretty.
The food was fantastic. It was seasoned well, nice to look and portioned well.
The desert we had, angel food cake with Basel ice cream, which was recommended by the staff was ok.
Flavors where good, but it was deconstructed, which I never like in a dessert.
Regarding service I will say that they were very attentive, considerate and friendly, which is all that you can ask for.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent all-around. LookingExcellent all-around. Looking forward to Park Avenue Summer5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMUpper East Side GetawayI generally don't eat out anymore on the upper east side but when I do I always try to make it happen at Park Avenue Sping/Summer/Fall/Winter. The restaurant always looks different and the wait staff bends over backwards to make you feel special. Clients love it and get excited about trying the chef's new and unusual twists. The portions are defintely small (for my husband) but perfect for me. This place never gets tired. Really.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMService was outstanding andService was outstanding and very responsive
A truly delightful dining experience4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing dining experienceWe had an amazing meal---- breadbasket through desert. All requests were taken care of expertly. One diner has food restrictions and asked for all accoutrements/ sauces to be put on the side and it was handled expertly. Everything was placed on separate plates leaving the meat very 'clean'. The food presentation was gorgeous and every bite was better than the next.
The ambience was wonderful---- the dogwood branches were amazingly beautiful. This was a very special dining experience.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMI have been a fan from theI have been a fan from the first days- a wonderful restaurant.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious and consistent.Delicious and consistent. Will return for sure next"season"4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMI was looking for a lunchI was looking for a lunch spot to linger with a girlfriend i hadn't seen in awhile. This was perfect. We had an unrushed, delicious, beautifully served, meal in a beautiful looking restaurant, the staff was gracious, helpful and just the right amount of friendly. The menu was interesting. My only complaint was the plain wooden chairs were very uncomfortable.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch of the GodsI have only brunched here, but I wager that the other meals are as expertly prepared. I can add little to the good reviews already written; the presentation, service, setting, ingredients and flavors all combine to make a magical brunch experience. The décor changes refresh one's appreciation, and with each new season it really is like rediscovering an old flame. Eventually I hope to try every item on the very concise bill of fare, but for those who can't be bothered to think about it, a brunch comprising their strawberry-rhubard-prosecco thing, the "Upper East Sider," and the chocolate-ancho sorbet will send you on your way sufficiently truffled, sauced and spiced to face the day.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMwe are frequent guests atwe are frequent guests at the restaurant - our family favorite!4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect for brunch. CopiousPerfect for brunch. Copious amount of savory food in pleasant atmosphere.
Waiters were a little obsessed with pouring water.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was truly perfect....incEverything was truly perfect....incredibly outstanding ... except for one thing: our table. Therefore, when I return, which I definitely will, I will: not use OpenTable; ensure that I request from the restaurant directly when I make my reservation for any table that is not adjacent to the stairs (I felt like I was in the traffic pattern among other negative feelings).4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMMy 29th B-day at Park Ave. SpringThis was my first dining experience at Park Avenue Spring. Zach took me here for my birthday dinner. I ordered the latkes as an appetizer, which were delicious and were served with two amazing sauces. Zach had a delicious salad as his appetizer. For the main course, I ordered the cod fish and Zach had the lobster. Both were outstanding. And for dessert, I had the savory rhubarb and bananas served with crisp fritters, warm cake and sorbet. Park Ave. Spring did a great job surprising me with a candle in my dessert for my birthday. Zach wanted to try something different than me, so he went with the caramel roasted pineapple served with angel food cake and basil ice cream. All in all, we loved our first experience here and will be back.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFilet mignon cooked to perfection.Filet mignon cooked to perfection. Thai coconut lobster was outrageous. A great find. We'll be back for summer.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMI have been to this restaurantI have been to this restaurant 6 times and each time the food has been remarkable. For a special evening Park Ave "Spring" bring elegance and overall captivating food experience. The pace of the service is appropriate and never rushed.
Very expensive, but for a special occasion, it does not disappoint.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMlovely ambiance and good forlovely ambiance and good for both casual and business lunches.
Carmel Owen4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMTHE BEST!My friend and I dined in New York for four days, and our lunch at Park Avenue Spring was the BEST! I go at least once a season so I get to enjoy the changing ambiance and menu. This time, I had a great business meeting and a great lunch. Couldn't ask for more!4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of the few restaurantsOne of the few restaurants I have been to where I wanted to order every single item on the menu. Perfect service. Lovely and elegant without being pretentious. A real gem in NYC.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Seasonal Farm-to-TableLots of restaurants hype their Farm-to-Table offerings, but Park Avenue Seasons delivers. The menu completely changes each season, and you can guarantee that whatever is in season, that is what is on the menu. We make a point of coming every season to see what's new!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMMe and my girl friend haveMe and my girl friend have become a regular at this place. The food is excellent. Would highly recommend.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat setting to have an EasterGreat setting to have an Easter brunch at. The "Spring vibe" with the flowers and lavender was great.
It was Easter Sunday so the service was not outstanding, but completely understandable given the time/day. Still felt accepted and cared for.
The meal was very good, but for the price (given it was a $70 prix fixe menu)I have done better. Nothing particularly outstanding, save the green sauce with the grilled octopus, but all very good.
Good for a nice dining setting, not so much for the one looking to be knocked off their feet with the food, given the price.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMUpon arriving we were seatingUpon arriving we were seating in a small, non-descript area where you couldn't get a view of the restaurant decor (known for its change each season). We requested to be reseated in the main dining area and our server made it happen. I would definitely recommend requesting main dining area when making your reservation to enjoy the ambiance of the setting.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe price for what you gotThe price for what you got was outrageous. The service was fair. I thought for a restaurant of this caliber everything should have been first class which it wasn't,t. I have been at this restaurant twice before and at those times I loved it....I guess things have changed3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent! Add this one toExcellent! Food was just delicious. Would definitely return for more.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a go-to neighborhoodThis is a go-to neighborhood choice for me. I love the changing decor (Spring is shades of lavender, Winter was really lovely this year). Brunch on Saturday and Sunday is very civilized, even the children behave. I prefer the upper dining rooms, the tables for two aren't too close.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMFor some reason our food tookFor some reason our food took an incredibly long time to get to us so not only did they give us a complimentary appetizer, they also comped our desserts and after dinner drinks. I thought that was way beyond necessary but very much appreciated.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFound this restaurant on OpenFound this restaurant on Open Table (visiting from NC for a business dinner).
