I was a little disappointed upon arrival. The arrangement of the tables were very close together. I was closer to the guests at other tables than I was to my husband. It made for an awkward date night. As for the food, some was amazing and some had almost no flavor at all. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. All in all it was a nice dinner out, just not quite as intimate as I had hoped.

It was early 9:15 on Labor Day, not busy. The buffet didn't look very appetizing and had very few options so we ordered off the menu. My breakfast was room temperature. I would've asked our waiter to microwave it but couldn't find him and it is basically two crab benedicts, nothing else on the plate. Our waiter didn't ask if we wanted a side. It did have a yummy lemony flavor but was so cold couldn't enjoy it. The hostess was wonderful and the Skirvin hotel is absolutely gorgeous. I can however highly recommend the red piano lounge next door for cocktails, of course not for breakfast.

I just had my second brunch at Park Avenue Grill. I had to taste some dishes I didn't have room for the first time. Service, food and music was outstanding again! If you are in OKC for the weekend attending a concert, game or visiting Bricktown don't miss this place! We also had dinner here before Phantom of the Opera and it was one of the best burgers we have had in a long time. thanks!

Our first time to the Park Avenue Grill for their Sunday Brunch was wonderful all the way around and certainly look forward to returning. Each dish that the three of us ordered was fantastic and the service provided by Kat was excellent!! If I had one slight con, it was the that the wonderful live music provided by Mr. Cruz was just a bit too loud for the room. Especially since you have tile floors and hard walls.

I took my friend for her birthday lunch. We were treated like Royalty! The surroundings of the old Skirvin are exquisite, the food and service were equal to any four star New York City restaurant. The extra amenity of free valet parking when dining at the restaurant makes it an easy visit to downtown OKC. My husband and I have met friends there for Sunday brunch and took our daughter and her friends there for her birthday once. True old style elegance with a menu that meets all the desires of any fine food connoisseur.

The brunch menu is outstanding! I picked this place because Edgar Cruz (classical guitarist) plays here on Sundays for Brunch....he played at my wedding over 20 years ago. He is even better now. Upon entering we were introduced to our menu and served some very peachy Bellinis. You have sooooooo many great choices on the menu. All four of us really enjoyed the grilled watermelon with feta and pepper jelly. There were other standouts as well such as the Lemon Ricotta pancakes and the Park Avenue Benedict. The atmosphere was just the right combo of a typical jazzy brunch with a classical twist from our guitarist. If you are staying downtown OKC you won't be disappointed.

Our first time for Sunday brunch, Teen aged kids with us and everyone was skeptical at the menu with it's strange combinations. Every dish was a hit as we all passed around the forks trying everything on the table then we reloaded for the second and third round. my wife and I had brunch here on Father's Day. the brunch menu was unique and excellent. I started with the BLT salad their homemade bacon is very good, my wife had the pear and apple salad and she was delighted. I like the options on the small plates we tried several items and were not disappointed. the lemon ricotta pancakes with raspberries were light and sweet and very tasty. the quail and waffles was unique dish the quail was juicy and tender. we were especially pleased to find out that Edgar Cruz was playing during brunch. we are great fans and really enjoy his music he was gracious and took many requests played some of our favorite music. This is a great spot for brunch on any Sunday and was a specially nice on fathers day.

    Dined on 5/11/2014
I made reservations through OpenTable for a Mother's Day brunch at this restaurant. OpenTable's website advertised the brunch price as $25 as did the restaurant's website. However, when I arrived at the restaurant the brunch menu was different and I was told it cost $39. The server told me the $25 brunch was for their normal Sunday brunch but this was a special Mother's Day brunch. While it was a 4-course brunch, three of the courses were fixed and I could only chose one of the courses. Overall, the food was so-so, the service was lacking, and I was annoyed at the price change upon arriving at the restaurant. Plus, while the live music was nice, I would have preferred to have been seated farther than 3 feet from the performer.

We picked the Skirvin for a pre-Graduation luncheon for my son, family and friends on our way to Norman for his OU Convocation. The food was very tasty for our party of 8, especially the "knife and fork burger". Service was suitably attentive and effective (by Kara) and the Front Operations Manager (Michael) even came by to check on us and make sure everything was in order. The Skirvin is a unique property that is a must see in OKC. It's not your typical Hilton and it's filled with iconic history. We'll definitely be back!

Enjoyed our 1st time visit to the Park Avenue Grill. We enjoyed the A La Carte menu, as we could try several different dishes with meal. My husband completely enjoyed the tomato-ginger jam that comes with the lump crab cake, while I thought the creme brulee lacked in intensity and everything I have come to expect in creme brulee. I had picked the Skirvin for a special birthday dinner and had specified a special table for a romantic dinner. First, we arrived and no one was at the hostess station. We finally had to go to the bar to get someone to come out and seat us. The hostess showed us to a table set for 8 people people. I told her that we were just a reservation for two so she randomly picked another table for us (so much for the request). We were placed next to a large round table of people speaking very loudly who fortunately left about 20 minutes after we were seated. I ordered a steak and requested that it be medium and it was medium rare. We did go into the bar afterward...a little noisy, but a fun to people watch and a good selection of drinks.

This is the second time my wife and I had a special night out here. The food was exceptional as it was the first time. I would truly recommend this place to anyone. The atmosphere was cozy, with a slight hint of jazz playing in the background. The food was cooked just as requested. They take care in preparing their food, not over spicing it. They are spiced just enough to bring out the true flavor of the dish. A+++++ is my rating.

My wife and I celebrated our 30th last weekend and Brunch @ The Skirvin was our last stop before going home. Price was excellent, total tab was $65 with tip. The servers were great!! The food selection, presentation and taste was fantastic! Portions were geared toward being able to select more than one entree to sample and that was what we were looking for. We are long time Sunday Brunch Buffet fans. Being able to order specific items, freshly prepared and served was so much better than a buffet. My wife and I have recommended this to everyone we have had a chance to and we plan on making it a once or twice a month Sunday Brunch stop with family members and/or friends.

The Skirvin Hotel is symbolic of Oklahoma City's renaissance, with a beautifully redone interior, including the Grill. We enjoyed the tasteful decor and were relieved that the music was pleasing in volume and in genre (jazz). The service was attentive and prompt, but unfortunately, the food was not up to our expectations. When fish is ordered and it comes out overcooked, not even a nice presentation can overcome it. Perhaps other dishes are better.... When they can recruit an "A" team staff in the kitchen, this will be a place we will try again, but until then, the competition will provide a superior overall experience.

I ate at PAG with a group of 8. First, let me say that the service was amazing. Our meals came out all together and whenever I needed anything, the wait staff was there and responded immediately. They really pushed the duck "nachos", I think perhaps because they wanted to finish off some leftover duck. It was firm and dry, and the cheese on the chips was not even melted. Bad choice. The calamari was excellent with a light breading. The tuna tartare was also delicious, but a small portion for an appetizer. My dinner of butter fish and lobster risotto was very disappointing. Small piece of fish and sticky risotto with no visible lobster. The port wine reduction was way too sweet for a dish like that. The steaks looked great though.

Unfortunately, the only thing we will not forget is that we will never return. In short, the bread was nearly burnt and impossible to separate at the table with the equipment provided. The meal was simple and presentation was OK, but I don't believe that anything was seasoned... at all, including what was called "butter potato mash", that taste like a bake potato with no toppings. Cheever's Cafe has a risotto that puts the "lobster risotto" here to SHAME. While one of our two steaks was not cooked to our request the flavor was just not there. A short walk to Red Prime would have been a wise choice. This meal did not get our night off to a good start and unfortunately could have been made better by dining at IHOP, which is sad really.
