Paris ClubExcellent all around! Ambience,Excellent all around! Ambience, food, and service were outstanding.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMYoung at heartParis draws a younger clientele. I had a wonderful time and will remember this evening for years to come. My husband took me here to celebrate my 58th birthday because he wanted me to feel young. We had dinner, we danced, we drank champaign and had a wonderful evening.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGood not greatDefinitely very good, certainly not great. I had onion soup which was very good. Kind of creamy and sweet. My fish was excellent even though a small portion. The winner was my friends burger. That's what I'm going back for! We do eat out a lot and after a while they all get to be similar. Paris has a nice feel and we would come back but by no means was it memorable.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMLettuce Entertain YOuLettuce Entertain You never fails to disappoint. I went to my first of the groups restaurants in Chicago back in the 70's. I have had great meals at Mon Ami Gabi in Bethesda in recent years so I was excited to try Paris Club on this trip to Chicago. Lobster was on the menu and it did not disappoint. The waitress was terrific, the atmosphere energetic, and a good time was had by all.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely BirthdayGreat brunch selection - all excellent - wonderful service - impressive manager -great to have quiet instead of pandamonium.
Only negative would be the music - why not keep in the French mood ? Had a very lovely birthday experience.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMImpressiveWe love going to Paris club! The food is always excellent, the service is always friendly, fun and professional. The manager, Amarit is always wonderful and hospitable.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Place!!Awesome!! Great service! Even better food!! Can't wait to go back!5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMParis Club - très magnifique!I was always a huge fan of Brasserie Joe's - so I was disappointed when it closed. But Paris Club was the perfect replacement! It was an open, inviting atmosphere, with a great energy. There was a lot of people and great music - but we were still able to relax and have a great conversation while enjoying everything (and everyone) around us. Our food was fabulous - but we expected no less with Chef Jean Joho as owner. He knows all the critical elements in creating a wonderful dining experience. Our waitress was so nice and attentive - but not too much so. I've been to Paris Club a number of times now - and will continue to do so.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMPistachio Pot de Creme to Die ForI was sorry to see Brasserie Jo go. It was one of my favorite standby Lettuce Entertain You options. Reinvented as Paris Club, this is no longer have a traditional bistro/brasserie - this is more of an "inspired by French Bistro" place. It's more rustic, hipper and less French. That being said, I like it for what it is now too. I always appreciate being able to order a Sancerre by the glass, the charcuterie board has a lovely country pate and pork rillette, and the green beans side was flavorful and satisfyingly al dente. Leave room for dessert because the pistachio pot de creme is a ridiculously wonderful delight.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely Brunch in ParisMy friend and I were amazed by the size of the restaurant! Definitely a great place for brunches, showers and celebratory meals. The staff was attentive and welcoming. We received personalized service & smiles from the whole team. The signature cocktail list was perfect for our reunion brunch and we loved the eggs florentine and chopped salad.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good food at a reasonableVery good food at a reasonable price. They ran out of the special of the day. I had the BEST Halibut w/ freshest green peas.
we were provided w/ a complimentary appetizer of baked Brie...absolutely great.
Will definitely consider going again.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat SpotWe've been to the Paris Club twice in 2 weeks and already we are treated like one of the family. The food is only outdone by the fantastic service. Our family has spent a lot of time in France and Paris Club has done a great job of giving us the feel of dining in a cafe in France.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMParis ClubThe food was absolutely prepared to perfection. Service was outstanding!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent waitress, very friendlyExcellent waitress, very friendly and accommodating. Food was good, very small portions, good to share.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for a special occasionMy husband and I went to Paris Club for our 20th anniversary celebration. Since we mentioned our anniversary, they brought us complimentary champagne, which we really enjoyed. The server was friendly and helpful in answering our questions. The lobster bruschetta appetizer we shared was excellent, as were my husband's filet mignon and Parisian-style fries, my roasted half-chicken in creamy black-truffle sauce, and especially our desserts--he had the Belgian waffle with warm blueberry sauce and ice cream; I had the trio of pots de crème--fabuleux! The coffee he had after dinner was also very good. All-around, it was a wonderful treat!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMSomething on the menu forSomething on the menu for everyone - desserts were wonderful. Had the apple strudel -scrumptous.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful space and atmosphere,Beautiful space and atmosphere, good service, excellent appetizers and interesting drinks - love the champagne cart! Some mains a bit dull - small piece of salmon on a small plate with a few pieces of asparagus....doesn't look elegant, looks like a lack of effort, but other food delicious and clever - crab bites, escargot, croque madame. Overall it is just great. We visit every time we are in Chicago and enjoy soaking up the vibe of the place.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredibly courteous staffThe food was delicious, the mixed drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere was upscale yet comfortable, but what blew me away about Paris Club was the staff. I made dinner reservations for myself and three of my friends for my birthday, and we started with drinks and appetizers. Our entrees hadn't come out for about 40 minutes after we had ordered them, so I asked the waitress if she wouldn't mind double checking to make sure our food had been ordered. I wasn't in a rush or angry or even annoyed (my friends and I were enjoying good conversation), but our waitress was very apologetic, reassured us our food had been ordered, then had the manager come speak to us. Paris Club did everything right to ensure that we had an enjoyable experience.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic ExpierenceMy family was in town to celebrate my birthday and I made reservations for Paris Club, after much debate (my family is full of picky eaters). Upon arriving our waitress asked it it was our first time dining. When we responded yes, she asked if we had any food allergies and that we could be receiving a complimentary appetizer, which the manager brought out. All of the food was wonderful and perfectly portioned. The desserts were amazing. The bill ended up being a bit pricey ($70/person for apps, entree, dessert, drinks), but we will be back for special occassions!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMTook two of my best friendsTook two of my best friends for graduation + noted so in the OpenTable reservation & they started our evening with an appetizer on the house. Really great gesture to begin the night. We went on Friday so it was very busy + thriving, which was a great atmosphere. The beet salad, macaroni, and lobster crostini were amazing! Wasn't all that impressed with the short rib dish. I would return to try other items on the menu, however.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMLemon Tart!I love lemon and have eaten many Lemon Tarts in my lifetime! The Lemon Tart at Paris Cafe is the best I have ever eaten; the taste is tart, not too sweet and very lemony! The very BEST. My server was delightful and the service was excellent and my dinner was delicious too.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMI like Paris Club becauseI like Paris Club because they actually have great food for being a trendy place. The service is always excellent, but they are flaky on their later reservations. I like having a late dinner here before heading out to the bars, but they have not sat me within 30 minutes of my reservation the last 4 times (make an earlier reservation and no issues).5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMBar scene is young and crowdedBar scene is young and crowded - everyone having a great time. The menu is creative and very french bistro. I had the pate which came with big slices of crusty bread and two dijon mustards and pickles - yum. The short rib entre is a big block of short rib meat with al dente vegetables - sauce is tasty and not too salty like some other restaurants serve. Save room for dessert - lots of options and all big enough to share.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and service.Excellent food and service. Although traffic caused us to be late, they were able to seat us within about 15 minutes.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat night outWe had a great night out at Paris Club. The food was delicious and well presented. The menu had great options and the special (Fisherman Soup) was delicious. The short ribs were fantastic too. Thanks for a great night out.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst timers and will returnThe food was great and the servers were very friendly. The manager even came to greet us as first time guests and gave us the delicious baked brie appetizer in the house. We will definitely return.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ExperienceStopped by for an early meal and drinks with friends on a Monday Afternoon. The service was great (thanks Earl) and the range of food to share was also incredible. Oysters, Foie, Lobster, Cheese and Beer. Great start to the evening.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMthe waiter was great we hadthe waiter was great we had a 21st bday celebration and he made it even better!
THANK U!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMHere's the bad thing. WeHere's the bad thing. We had a reservation, dining room not crowded. With my daughter for a girls' weekend of fun, dining, theater and shopping before her upcoming wedding. We were seated at a dark table, next to the kitchen. I mean, practically in the hallway. We were dressed very nicely, and we are nice loking people. But I think a mother and daughter got shoved to a lousy table. Not cool. Food was great, but we were made to feel uncomfortable. Server fawning over table next to us, two women and one man, ordering lobster cocktails. Bar was hopping as we left, and we would have stayed for an after dinner drink, but we did not feel welcome.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMParisClaims to be an American take on a classic French bistro and this is an accurate statement. As someone who spent 3 years in Paris I am a fair judge! Dishes were perhaps less rich (read:drowned in butter) than you would get in Paris but still had flavour. Wine list was a nice balance of old and new world plus a range of price points. We were an early Tuesday dinner seating but the place was loud and vibrant and full of people. I've heard it's well-known for the Bar/Club side of the business so will have to go back and see for myself!4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our first time atThis was our first time at Paris Club. We were early, 5:30 attending after a play on Saturday so the wait staff had plenty of time to take care of us but they did a great job. The manager Josh came to our table and when learned we were celebrating our 35th anniversary promptly brought over glasses of champagne for us and added an appetizer on the house at his request. Good food, nice place and good service, we will return.
Jim P.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMterrific experience-Our serverterrific experience-Our server Morella was great-food was delicious and nicely presented.Would definately return!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMStaff was super friendly,Staff was super friendly, food was great, very fun night overall.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious, excellent service, loudWe hit up Paris Club for a late dinner after seeing Book of Mormon.
It was a little louder than I expected when we first went in but found it fine to talk casually once we were seated in the dining area. Manhattan's were top notch (exceptional cherry selection), oysters were good, and we were all insisting our main courses were better than each others.
Our server was beyond exceptional. She answered every question about the food with precise knowledge and passion, she was accurate in everything she said and was very straight forward about what the best items were (my girlfriend can never make up her mind). She appeared every time we had a question or needed another round but never seemed to hover or interrupt us mid sentence. A+.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat atmosphere, exellent foodSo glad to find a gluten free menu at an excellent restaurant. We arrived for an early after work dinner (5:45) and ate in the beautiful, sleek, dimly lit bar area. Baked brie, salad, potatoes, fish and custard were excellent. Everything is a la carte. My husband and I shared 1 of each and it was just the right amount of food.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMUnfortunately, the ovens seemedUnfortunately, the ovens seemed to be too hot this visit: basket of pastries ordered for appetizer just this side of burned and dried out. Chocolate French toast good, but very dark around edges.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMService and food were excellent!Service and food were excellent! I am planning to return soon. The menu was outstanding with so many different and interesting options, it was hard to choose.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMI liked it that we were notI liked it that we were not rushed out the door when we were finished with dessert and were allowed to sit and talk. Service was better than expected in such a busy, cavernous place. Dessert wine choices were sparse, however, esp for a French bistro. Where was the muscato asti?4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome servive, great Food.Amazing service. Great looking restaurant, fun and chic at the same time. The food is awesome, the dessert spectacular.
Everything about this spot is Hip yet elegant.
We love this restaurant, its a favorite in Chicago!!!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was some of the best foodIt was some of the best food we've had. Prices were comparable to the quality.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat night ! Please bringGreat night ! Please bring back the tomatoe and goats cheese dish4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch was amazing!! DinnerBrunch was amazing!! Dinner and desserts were wonderful. A new favorite for future Chicago trips!!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and service.Great food and service. We were greeted with a free appetizer as we had been dining there many a time and that set the stage for an excellent meal. Skatewing excellent as usual and the salmon was great. The lemon tart was sublime. Thanks for a great dinner to end a hectic week.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMI had been to Paris Club onceI had been to Paris Club once previously for a business function/dinner, so this was the first time in the spacious dining room. Our reservations were fairly early, but there were mostly groups of 4 or larger already seated and arriving as we dined. Our server, I believe Rebecca, was attentive, helpful, and there when we needed. The wild boar Monday night special was outstanding. We will definately be back.4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWent there for Easter lunch.Went there for Easter lunch. Always great food, good service, and smiling staff. A bit pricey for some, but the overall experience is worth it for my family. We always come back.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMExceptional service and foodExceptional service and food as always. This was probably our 5th time and definitely won't be our last.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMHad always heard great thingsHad always heard great things about this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food, service and scene were excellent. Looking forward to going back to try more of the wine and food menu.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst Class Dinning! While it is a French Bistro, I'd say the food was first class and suitable for fine dinners.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGood ... NOT worth the money thoughGood food - HORRIBLE value. The food and service were exactly as you expect from a leye restaurant, quite good. The problem is that the portion sizes were far less than adequate and the prices were ridiculous for what you get. Even the server noted how they are known for skimpy portions. $200 for four of us to eat - and all of us hungry when we left. That includes only two drinks, one non-alcoholic. I mean, seriously, three (yes three) scallops on a plate for $23. Yikes.
Although it was good - you can find MUCH better ways to spend your hard-earned dollars. This is, after all, Chicago - the land of amazing dining.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent French Bistro Food!Excellent French Bistro Food! They even made a good Kir!3/1/2013 12:00:00 AM
