A word from Parc
Stephen Starr's stylish addition to Rittenhouse Square pays tribute to French cafe culture, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, ideal for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. Parc recalls the chic brasseries of Paris, serving classic French fare in a charming space. Red leather banquettes topped with frosted glass provide a sense of intimacy. Details such as well-worn wooden chairs, vintage framed paintings and photos and antique brass fixtures transport guests across the Atlantic. French doors spill onto a sidewalk terrace covered by a dark red awning perfect for dining "en plein air." Reservations are not accepted for outdoor tables.Continued

  • "The food here has really gone down hill.!! The Steak Frite was an end piece that tasted like shoe leather! The Tuna Tartar was flavorless. The ambience outside is wonderful, but one still expects a somewhat tasty meal. Get it together Parc, It's only French Brasserie food."

  • "One of my favorite brunch spots in Philadelphia. You can always count on a great meal and impeccable service at a Stephen Starr restaurant. Jess Schulman - manager at Parc is hands down one of the most professional and courteous managers that I have met in the many years I have been dining out in Philadelphia. Actually he was one of the nicest managers I have met anywhere and I have travel around the world."

  • "I have never had a bad experience here and this weekend was no different. The food was outstanding!! Always a must go!"

  • "I really didn't think the French dishes were very authentic"

  • "Parc truly is my favorite restaurant! I've never had anything but excellent food, drinks and service. The stafff was great and the food was great! I had the house salad and the spaghettini with shrimp. It was cooked perfectly. Also at our table we had the steak tartare, hamburger and trout almondine. All were sensational. B. The bartender convinced me to drink a manhattan, something I wouldn't ordinarily have and it was so good and different. The manager came by at one point and was so friendly. We sat outside and it was just a beautiful night."

  • "We celebrated our friends' engagement at Parc on Friday night. The food was excellent. However, we were most impressed by the staff, who went out of their way to make our celebration special. We occupied our table for almost 3 hours, and never felt that we were rushed or were inconveniencing anyone. Parc remains one of our top choices for special occasions."

  • "We enjoyed the trout almandine with haricots verts. Server was pleasant, helpful, and courteous. We had an open window. But the place is too noisy for a quiet conversation."
    Dined on 7/18/2014
  • "Sitting outside with a view of Rittenhouse Square is a delight and allows one to talk in a conversational tone without the extraneous noise inside. The food, as ever, was extremely good."

  • "I'll start by saying the food here is incredible. I started with the Onion soup which was amazing and my husband had the assorted oysters, which were about the best he's ever had. For dinner I had the beef Bourguignon. The beef was extremely tender and the gravy was delicious. My husband loved his scallops My issue with this restaurant was that you felt so rushed. I'm not one who likes to linger over a long meal, but I like to enjoy our food. We ordered and they brought out the bread bowl. Before I could reach for a piece, our appetizers were plunked down. On my last bite of soup, I put my spoon down and my bowl was whisked away and entree served in one motion. It was annoying to finish a nice dinner in under 40 minutes."

  • " The Otherwise VERY French bustro dining experience."

  • "Had a great dinner to celebrate 20th anniversary. Food and ambiance 5 star. The lamb shank the loup de mer were prepared perfectly."

  • "At a recent visit for lunch, we were lucky enough to go to Parc on what was probably the most beautiful day of the summer, so we were more than happy, and even requested, to eat outside. Our waiter was fabulous! He attended to our every need, without being intrusive. We could look at the park while indulging ourselves in wine and 3 courses. He never hurried us, and he paced our courses perfectly. The Ahi tuna salad was superb."

  • "My friend had been to PARC once before for dessert only. We celebrated her birthday on 7/15 & enjoyed the evening very much. She had the Tuesday special and it was so big she wrapped the remaining portion for lunch the next day. I had the scallops which were fabulous. The highlight for me was the Onion Soup. I'd visit Parc again just for that soup. It was excellent!"

  • "I have been coming here for years and years and I totally love it. Sometimes it super hard to get into on the weekends so make a reservation"

  • "Great food. I'm picky about my duck confit but they did a great job, and my husband's rabbit pappardelle was tasty too. Food's a bit on the salty side, but service was attentive and the ambiance was lively. We had a hard time hearing each other since it was so noisy. Would definitely come again, though probably for guests or special occasions only, since it's a bit on the pricey side."

  • "Parc is a great restaurant for foodies, people watching, enjoying life. It's not a great place to catch up with old friends if you're all hard of hearing. Service was disappointing on recent visit, but usually great (an off night probably). Lots of fun with many choices for all -- our party was lacto-vegetarian, gluten-free and omnivores -- everyone got something tasty."

  • "Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with girlfriend visiting from out of town. As it turnout, it also happened to be Bastille Day and the restaurant was decked out nicely! Very authentic French bistro cuisine. When I made the reservation, I requested a seat with a view of Rittenhouse Square and we were given a very nice table. My friend and I shared three courses, and the kitchen and wait staff were kind enough to split each for us. Started with the tomato tart, followed by the salad lyonnaise and the rabbit parpadelle - all very tasty and suitably sized for sharing. Food is quite reasonably priced, but the wine list was a bit pricey (few options under $50 a bottle). They do offer a half and full carafes of a house chardonnay and merlot."

  • "I love this restaurant. The seating outside facing the park is one of my favorite. I was there for Bastille day. I wish they would have had more dedicated to that day, but I still had a wonderful time. To top it all off the service was wonderful!"

  • "We enjoyed our brunch at Parc! Staff were friendly and professional, food was delicious and ambiance was very nice. We were late for our reservation (a long story) and called ahead to alert them of our situation - they couldn't have been nicer when we arrived. Would definitely recommend...whether you sit outside or in, you will enjoy your meal here."

  • "This is a very reliable French-style bistro. You can count on good food, good service and noise. It's not the most comfortable place because of the style of seats and noise level. However, the food is good and I come back again and again."

  • "I love everything about Parc; it is my happy place to get away from my suburban life and have peace for few hours. I always order a Bellini first! than quickly look over to the menu which I practically memorized by now... Look forward to the return of our lovely server (boy or girl, each time I get the friendliest person with a smile on his/her face), bringing the BREAD BASKET to the table which will dissapear shortly. Depending on my hunger level, I might order the charcuterie platter or the warm shrimp salad... And again, if I am not already in a food coma, I might order the profiterol or just settle with the esspresso... I have been there with various family members, to celebrate my birthday, Easter Brunch or just by my self."

  • "Parc is always a favorite. This time in our Sunday brunch party of 5, we had a guest from France who had to leave unexpectedly early to catch a train to Newark, then a plane to Paris. He asked if could a beet salad right away and a team of servers brought it. Bravo! We stayed on and enjoyed a wonderful brunch. My Croque-Madame was tasty!"

  • "What a wonderful brunch experience! Our servers made us feel very special with their attentive care. My children had the best milk shakes ever as well as a fabulous meal. Who new eggs could taste that good? My Norwegian Eggs Benedict was perfect and sophisticated and made me feel that we had gone somewhere special because we had! Servings were plentiful and our food came quickly. We will look forward to coming again."

  • "We love Parc. Every time we visit Philadelphia, Parc is an absolute must for brunch before heading home. The food is incredible, the service is fantastic, and we love the outdoor seating overlooking Rittenhouse Square. Excellent place."

  • "Parc is our go-to place. Whenever out-of-town guests come to Philly, we take them to Parc. After that, they suggest that we make reservations the next time they come. Parc is always our first choice."

  • "Had a wonderful breakfast at Parc, celebrating my partner's 50th birthday. If you've never been, I'd recommend the Eggs Benedict and Mimosas, you can't go wrong. The atmosphere is very french, and comfortable. I'd recommend either a window seat or outdoor dining facing Rittenhouse Square. We visit Philly from Virginia at least once a year and always make Parc a destination. I'm sure dinner would be just as lovely."

  • "The strip steak and trout amandine were excellent! Service was also top notch. if you're in the mood for steak, stick with the strip vs the steak frites. The pomme puree are the best we've ever had anywhere, including France."

  • "The breakfast was delicious. Nice to have a place other than a diner to enjoy breakfast on a weekday."
