ParcA taste of Europe in PhiladelphiaLooking for a nice european bistro. Parc is the place. Great food, wine, deserts and overall atmosphere. Pleasant service.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWant to See Rittenhouse Square?Great food, service and views of the square. What's not to like?5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMHost was a little of the rudeHost was a little of the rude side but the rest of the staff made up for it.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGood Food - Too LoudThe food was good and we loved the ambiance, but it was so loud in the restaurant that our party of four either had to remain quiet and not speak or yell at one another to say something that only one or two of us heard each time. I hate to go away from a place remembering only the drawbacks, but it was that loud.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMA great place for lunch! This was my third visit to Parc and had a wonderful time. The lobster appetizer was delicious as was the rest of the meal. I definitely recommend ending the meal with the Vietnamese Coffee if you favor the sweet flavors. A+5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMPHILADELPHIAS BEST...............Thanks to Stephen Starr.....Philadelphia has its own Paris Cafe right in the heart of Rittenhouse Square. From the moment the most amazing bakery basket comes to your table.. you know you are in HEAVEN.. The best news is you can buy it to take home. The energy is fun and the food is outstanding. It is clear that the culinary team knows what they are doing. There are no specials....because all is special.
The outside space is a perfect venue for a fun summer night.
The staff greets you and continues to make you feel that you are their guest for the evening.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMFrench country charmThis restaurant was recommended by a local for our out of town group. Delightful meal with classic French countryside ambience.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMHostess aware that we perhapsHostess aware that we perhaps would not like to sit in the big room which was so noisy and sat us at a table for two near the entrance which was somewhat quieter. We didn't ask for this, she just looked us over and guessed that is what we would want.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMagnifiqueFelt like we were in Paris, without the airfare! The maitre'd was wonderful, the server was great. The food arrived in a timely manner and was delicious. Been here many times and never disappointed!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMfirst experiance with open tableexcellent choice for us food was very good service excellent waiter very knowledgeable and all around a great dining experiance5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMOur evening at Parc was exceptionalOur evening at Parc was exceptional! We have enjoyed dining at this restaurant many times in the past - we brought friends for dinner who have never dined at Parc and they thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience! The food and the service were outstanding and it was even more impressive because it was a beautiful night in the city!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMLove it!I love this restaurant. I only go there for special occasions but I never mind paying that much for excellent food. See ever even brought out a free dessert for my graduation.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMConsistent, excellentI have been to Parc a number of times--for dinner with my wife where we seek a nice vibe, business lunches, meals with friends and even a Sweet Sixteen that we held there in March in honor of my daughter and 8 of her friends. The experience has been consistently superior. Well done S. Starr!5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMRomantic & delicious!Enjoyed a delicious lunch ( get the warm shrimp salad!) sitting outside Parisian style facing Rittenhouse Park. A great place to eat & people watch while enjoying the beautiful back drop of the park.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Celebration DinnerOur daughter graduated from Temple University that day and requested we dine at Parc to celebrate. Couldn't have asked for a better dinner. The food, ambience and waiter were all outstanding! We will definitely be returning to Parc in the future.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMFood and Service SublimeParc distinguished itself on several fronts. Not only was the food delicious (mussels, scallops, soups, omelets, bread, trout - we could go on and on) but the "front of the house" was very capable, and calmly adjusted our to our numbers as they changed from 4 to 16 within 2 days. Christine, our server, was unflappable and very pleasant as well. The atmosphere was lively but not intrusive - a very pleasant evening. Thank you Parc.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMA PHILADELPHIA GEMI AM CONSTANTLY IMPRESSED WITH THE PERFECTION OF THIS JOB.... NO WONDER STEPHEN STARR IS TAKING THIS RESTAURANT ON THE ROAD...
AMBIANCE IS PERFECT....
FOOD IS OUTSTANDING..
AND THE ORGANIZATION RUNS A PERFECT ENVIRONMENT5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMHighly RecommendedParc is such a great place to dine in a vibrant location. My family and I had brunch here and everything looked so good it was hard to decide. I had the poached eggs with asparagus. Yum! Their assorted pastry basket is a must get item on the breakfast/brunch menu.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDivine dining experienceI took my mother to Parc for Mother's Day dinner and they did not disappoint. We had 5:15pm reservations and they had our table ready and waiting for us. The servers were knowledgable on the menu and did not rush us despite it being a busy day for them. My mother ordered the lamb shank, our waitress' reccommendation and it was phenomenal. I would definitely reccommend Parc!!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat experience!always lovely, always fun; great food and ambience. rittenhouse square stalwart!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat dinner at ParcFriday night place was packed a little wait but got a great table inside at the edge facing the street. Excellent service for such a busy night. Food was really good. Roasted chicken was good5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding dining experience.Outstanding dining experience. My wife and I and our two children ages 7 and 5 were seated in the center of the area looking out on Rittenhouse Square, just before the outdoor section of the restaurant. Our food server was simply perfect: she was happy, pleasant, courteous, attentive, engaging, quintessentially professional. The food was sumptuous, perfectly prepared and excellently presented, from the bread offered at the start, through cheese samplers, rotisserie duck, and ravioli. The bar scene behind us was electric with down-town professionals on a Friday end of day, while the view to the front was utterly picturesque, all combining to make for one of the most exciting and delightful dining experiences ever. Bravo Parc!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMFrenchtasticThe best place in rhe city for lunch. One immediately feels like they are in France . The food and seevice are always top quality. I always take me top clients here as I can rest assured they wont be dissapointed.Outstanding.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAhhhh Paris!!!Think Balthazar or Pastis in NYC and put Parc right with them. Food was excellent, service great and the open air tables on Rittenhouse Square were transporting, I found myself looking through the trees to see if I could see the Arc De Triomphe in the distance.
We will return.....soon.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMA Little FrenchI have traveled to Paris. This restaurant's interior and decor appears very authentic to an actual french bistro. My date and I had the the mushroom soup and french onion soup-- Both outstanding! Soaked the soup up with my crusty, but soft french baguette....Delicious! For lunch entree, we both experienced the EXCELLENT ½ ROAST CHICKEN Pommes purée, jus de poulet. Outstanding! Mashed potatoes were PERFECT. Ended our meal with a dessert: MOELLEUX AU CHOCOLAT,
Warm chocolate cake with melted chocolate center, drizzled with raspberry sauce. The melted chocolate was exceptional! Overall, great meal. Will return to try other menu items.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMA slice of Paris in dowtown PhillyParc exquisitely recreates the feel of a Parisien bistro, right down to the black-and-white clad wait staff and small bistro tables set up along the sidewalk...with the chairs all facing out, so much the better for watching the pedestrian traffic moving by. The food was excellent, especially the roast chicken (which was mentioned in the Philadelphia Mag review). The staff was courteous and knowledgeable, if not in any great hurry...but then again, that's part of the experience of a french bistro too, and given the quality of the atmosphere, drinks and food, you shouldn't be in any great rush anyway.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous!A really authentic French Bistro with great food, service and French wine. We have been
there many times and will return!5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMWe picked Parc for our weddingWe picked Parc for our wedding anniversary dinner because we'd been there a couple of years ago when visiting Philly, and it was fabulous then - and it was just as great this time around.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWe sat outside across fromWe sat outside across from Rittenhouse Park and it was very relaxing and fun. Very good service and decent food!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for Celebratory BrunchMy friend and I went to Parc for brunch after saying we would for two years. We were glad we finally made it there. The cocktails were a great way to start off, and our meals (Eggs Norwegian and Eggs Benedict) were prepared very well. But our favorite part of the experience was sitting outside facing Rittenhouse Square and people-watching. The service was great; we appreciated that they took their time between the cocktails, meal, and coffee to give us more time to enjoy the atmosphere. Although expensive for college students, Parc was well worth the price for a celebratory brunch.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMSo good we ate there twice!First of all, if you can get a table with Ross, do it! He was an incredibe server who knew the menu inside & out! He made the best suggestions! Best drink: Basilic! I loved this drink, I couldnt get enough of it! The first time we had the warm shrimp salad which was delicious! Then the mushroom tart appetizer & the Mussels entree were hands down the tastiest! The fries were yummy! The egg white omelette with goat cheese & ratatouille was also very good if eggs are what you're into.
ll in all, the meal wouldnt have been as special wthout our server Ross, he really helped us make the best choices! We shall return!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMVery GoodEnjoyed by dinner and I was very happy with the selection of wines. I love Rittenhouse so I was happy to get a nice view. I was, however, disappointed by my server. I had read such wonderful things about the service and I was let down. He didn't come around as often as I would have liked and he mumbled the specials. He wasn't horrible, just not what I was expecting.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were initially seated atWe were initially seated at the end of a banquet, at the far side of the room, near the kitchen. As an OpenTable reservation, I would have expected better seating. There were empty tables throughout the restaurant. We asked for a better location and did get one more centrally located, but I had to keep dodging trays laden with food as they were set down on a tray stand for serving. Annoying.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful timeI had a reservation for lunch on a beautiful Saturday. The restaurant was jammed but the front desk seated us right away in a table by a window. Service was efficient and friendly without being intrusive. The food was excellent. All in all a wonderful meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and go back again.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding French bistroFrom the extensive wine list, to the server, to the fabulous food we were highly impressed by this restaurant. The food was somewhat simple yet incredibly flavorful. The sidewalk view of Rittenhouse Square and all the people going by reminded us of dining in Paris. We would highly recommend this.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFood, service ambiance outstandingFood, service ambiance outstanding in all respects. A must-go!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful RestaurauntOverall great experience here. Very beautiful setting. Relaxing, great food. Highly recommended.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe only complaint I haveThe only complaint I have is that when I made the reservation on Open Table - I requested a table in a room away from the bar and they seated us in the room with the bar.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMTuesday = Best Pork Chop EVER!I have been to Parc a few times in the past. It is always met my expectations of an upper scale Rittenhouse French restaurant. Great Philly location, good atmosphere, some of the best service and good French food. But I had never been there on a Tuesday... Tuesday they serve up a Pork Milanese that is just the best pork chop you will ever eat. A great pork chop pounded, breaded, topped with an arugula salad (for show?), olives with a vinaigrette dressing = awesome goodness. While Parc appetizers are good, they should be avoided if ordering this entrée as it is quite filling. Gnaw on the bone goodness.
If you want a good French restaurant experience, consider another night or another entrée so you can experience a wider variety.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMEuro-flare on Rittenhouse SquareParc is a genuine French bistro on Rittenhouse Square. Ambience is old world with red leather booths and lots of dark wood. Waitstaff is dressed bistro-authentic with shirts/ties and white aprons. The menu is large and varied, and the wine/beverage list ample, including very good wines by the glass poured generously. My wife had a mushroom soup that was out of this world and a warm shrimp salad. I enjoyed a perfectly done lanb shank provencal. We topped the meal off with a delicious creme brulee that wasn't made yesterday. In warmer weather, the bistro tables outside provide a perfect venue for enjoying the sights of Rittenhouse Square. We heartily recommend Parc for a delightful dining experience at a resaonable price.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMTruly enjoyed the meal!!(Brunch)GooTruly enjoyed the meal!!(Brunch)Good Bloody Marys too.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMParc "stupendous"It was our third visit to Parc and we brought guests. The food was stupendous and the service was excellent. We'll be back4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMI was very impressed withI was very impressed with the food and service; my server was very attentive and knowledgable about the food and its preparation. The wine and beer selection was impressive and they have a long list of specialty cocktails. The location across from the park provides a great view.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMParc is a lovely bistro whichParc is a lovely bistro which is lovely in ambience and in hospitality. The food is very good with a varied menu so all have choices. The waiters are charming and offer suggestions and substitutions that are not just up selling or rote. The area at Rittenhouse Square adds to the experience so you can stroll inn the park or shop on Walnut.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMI have kept a city dentistI have kept a city dentist near Parc for years just so I could schedule lunch at Parc twice a year. The bread is fantastic!4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing true to life copyAmazing true to life copy of a Paris bistro right down to the smallest details, like the speaker grilles
Rittenhouse setting and was handicap accessible for my 90+ mother in law. The only way one could tell that one was not in Paris was that the service was polite rather than rushed.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience. Have a 1Great experience. Have a 1 yr old and Parc energetic atmosphere allowed us to sit for over an hour. This is a rare occurrence, thanks Parc4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had dinner at Parc on SundayWe had dinner at Parc on Sunday evening. After an afternoon of sightseeing with other members of my company's management team (we were gathering in Philadelpha for two days of meetings), we had reservations at Parc for 7pm. We had a short wait for our table which we filled by getting a drink at the bar. The restaurant and bar (as well as the sidewalk tables) was full and bustling. Once seated, our waiter was attentive and offered his knowledge about the menu and answered all our questions. Our food and dessert was very good. Our service was very good also. Definitely recommend Parc.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMNever Disappoints - Always DeliversParc never disappoints. Every time I'm in Philadelphia, I go out of my way to take my clients to Parc. The ones that have traveled to Eastern Europe appreciate it even more - because they see the authenticity immediately. The food is always perfect. The wait staff is always well trained and working like a well oiled machine. The vibe is always perfect.
I can't wait for the weather to change so I can sit outside and people watch while I have a phenomenal meal.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved it!Everything was great, we went for our anniversary brunch. They brought us out a little bowl of pastries with a sparkler in it to celebrate! We had the $10 pastry basket to start, the quiche was amazing! We will definitely be going back!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AM
